The TISI in April 2025 stood at 89.9, declining from 91.8 in March 2025, while the 3-month forward expectation index also decreased to a level of 93.3, down from 95.7.

Meanwhile, for the 3-month forward expectation index, most components also decreased, except for business operation costs (inversely related), which increased.
This month, there were positive factors from 1) the postponement of the Reciprocal Tariff enforcement for 90 days (ending in early July 2025), maintaining a 10% Baseline Tariff on imports from all countries; 2) an increase in foreign tourist numbers due to the Maha Songkran World Water Festival 2025, where from April 6 to 12, 2025, Thailand welcomed 666,180 visitors; 3) earthquake relief measures (with a ceiling of 49,500 Baht per household) and a reduction in transfer and mortgage fees to 0.01% (starting April 22, 2025).
However, there are also negative factors including 1) a slowdown in industrial production due to long holidays during the Songkran festival, which resulted in fewer working days; 2) the U.S. import tax measures affecting exports, such as a 25% Sectoral Tariff on specific products and anti-dumping/subsidy actions (AD/CVD); 3) the earthquake events causing delays in purchasing decisions for vertical real estate; 4) an increase in imported goods from China and issues related to the misuse of Thai product origin; 5) a decreasing trend in automobile exports, which saw a reduction of -9.36% (YoY) in March 2025 due to the vehicle tax increase.
