When considering the components of the TISI, all elements have decreased, including overall orders, overall sales, production volume, operating costs, and business performance. Negative factors include the slow recovery of the domestic economy due to incomplete domestic demand recovery, while consumer purchasing power remains weak due to increasing non-performing loans (NPL), particularly in housing, automobiles, credit cards, and personal loans, leading to a slowdown in domestic consumption. Simultaneously, SMEs face liquidity issues, insufficient working capital, and difficulties in accessing credit as financial institutions remain cautious in approving loans. Additionally, the persistent shortage of containers and cargo ships continues to drive up freight rates, while political uncertainty impacts business confidence. Nonetheless, in June, there were supporting factors such as measures to promote domestic tourism during the low season and free visa policies to attract foreign tourists. Meanwhile, the expansion of demand from international markets, particularly in the United States, ASEAN, India, and China, which are beginning to recover, alongside the depreciation of the Thai baht, bodes well for the export sector.
