การเป็นสมาชิกสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) คือการรวมพลังเป็นหนึ่ง…เพื่อผู้ประกอบการอุตสาหกรรมไทย โดยสมาชิกของ ส.อ.ท. มีด้วยกัน 2 ประเภท ภายใต้นโยบาย ONE FTI (เป้าหมายเดียวกัน สู่ความสำเร็จร่วมกัน) ซึ่งผู้ประกอบการที่สมัครมาเป็นครอบครัว ONE FTI ได้เล็งเห็นถึงประโยชน์ของบริการ และสิทธิประโยชน์ที่มีมากมายและตอบโจทย์ความต้องการไม่ว่าจะเป็นด้านการตลาด องค์ความรู้ การเงิน นวัตกรรม และสิ่งแวดล้อม เป็นต้น
จากข้อมูลประเภทของสมาชิก ส.อ.ท. มีความครอบคลุมกับผู้ประกอบการในทุกรูปแบบที่ต้องการเข้ามาร่วมเป็นส่วนหนึ่งกับ ส.อ.ท. แต่ด้วยยุคสมัยที่เปลี่ยนแปลงไป รูปแบบการประกอบธุรกิจ รวมถึงการปรับปรุงนิยามพระราชบัญญัติ (พ.ร.บ.) โรงงานอุตสาหกรรม ฉบับที่ 2 ของกระทรวงอุตสาหกรรม จึงได้มีการขยายแรงม้าจากเดิม 5 แรงม้า เป็น 50 แรงม้า และจำนวนคนงาน จากเดิม 7 แรงคน เป็น 50 แรงคน สำหรับโรงงานขนาดเล็กที่มีเครื่องจักรแรงม้าต่ำกว่า 50 แรงม้า และจำนวนคนงานต่ำกว่า 50 แรงคน สามารถดำเนินการจัดตั้งได้ โดยขอรับใบอนุญาตประกอบกิจการโรงงานจากองค์กรปกครองส่วนท้องถิ่น ส่งผลให้ผู้ประกอบการที่เป็นอุตสาหกรรมการผลิต แต่ไม่เข้าข่ายตาม พ.ร.บ. โรงงานอุตสาหกรรม ฉบับที่ 2 ไม่สามารถสมัครสมาชิกสามัญ – โรงงาน (สน.) ได้
คณะกรรมการ ส.อ.ท. วาระปี 2565-2567 ได้เล็งเห็นถึงอุปสรรคของผู้ประกอบการที่เข้าข่ายภาคการผลิต แต่มีโรงงานขนาดเล็กเครื่องจักรแรงม้าต่ำกว่า 50 แรงม้า เพื่อสร้างโอกาสให้กับผู้ประกอบการที่ต้องการสมัครสมาชิก ประเภท สน. โดยมีหลักเกณฑ์ที่ชัดเจน และเพื่อให้เป็นบรรทัดฐานเดียวกับหน่วยงานต่าง ๆ ภายในประเทศในการแยกประเภทอุตสาหกรรม และมีความครอบคลุมทุกประเภทอุตสาหกรรม จึงได้มีมติอนุมัติการรับสมัครสมาชิก ส.อ.ท. ประเภทสามัญ-โรงงาน (สน.) ที่มีเครื่องจักรต่ำกว่า 50 แรงม้า และไม่มีใบประกอบกิจการโรงงาน (รง.) โดยใช้การพิจารณาด้วย TSIC Code หมวดที่เป็น Positive list พร้อมแนบหลักฐานเพิ่มเติม ประกอบด้วยเอกสารที่ออกโดยหน่วยงานภาครัฐที่แสดงถึงการผลิต และ/หรือรูปถ่าย เครื่องจักร อุปกรณ์ และสถานที่ผลิต โดยสายงานทะเบียนสมาชิก ส.อ.ท. ได้จัดทำรายละเอียดแนวทางเพื่อศึกษาข้อมูลเพิ่มเติม โดยสามารถเข้าไปดาวน์โหลดได้ที่ https://bit.ly/418EYCd สำหรับมติดังกล่าวข้างต้น ให้เริ่มมีผลตั้งแต่เดือนมกราคม 2566 เป็นต้นไป

Becoming a member of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) is a unified strength… for Thai industrial entrepreneurs. FTI members are categorized into two types under the ONE FTI (a common goal towards mutual success) policy. Entrepreneurs who join the ONE FTI family recognize the benefits of services and privileges that are abundant and meet the demands in various areas such as marketing, knowledge, finance, innovation, and the environment, among others.
According to the types of FTI members, it covers entrepreneurs in all forms wanting to join FTI. However, due to changing times, the business operation model, along with the amendment of the Factory Act (Act No. 2) by the Ministry of Industry, the horsepower criteria have been expanded from the original 5 horsepower to 50 horsepower, and the number of workers has been increased from 7 personnel to 50 personnel. For small factories with machinery below 50 horsepower and fewer than 50 workers, they can establish operations by obtaining a factory operation license from the local administrative organization. Consequently, manufacturers who do not fall under the Factory Act do not qualify for ordinary membership - factory (สน.).
The FTI Board of Directors for the term 2022-2023 has recognized the obstacles faced by entrepreneurs in the production sector, particularly those with small factories possessing machinery below 50 horsepower. To create opportunities for those wanting to apply for membership under the category of สน., clear criteria have been established to align with various agencies within the country for industrial classification, covering all types of industries. Therefore, a resolution has been approved to accept FTI membership applications under the ordinary - factory category (สน.) for those with machinery below 50 horsepower and without a factory operation license (รง.), using the TSIC Code in the positive list category along with additional evidence consisting of documents issued by government agencies indicating production and/or photographs of machinery, equipment, and the production site.
