ประเทศไทยมีการพัฒนาทางด้านเศรษฐกิจและอุตสาหกรรมมาอย่างต่อเนื่องผ่านกลไกต่าง ๆ ภายใต้ความเสี่ยงและความท้าทายจากปัจจัยภายในและภายนอก ไม่ว่าจะเป็นภาวะความผันผวนและถดถอยของเศรษฐกิจ การขาดแคลนแรงงาน การขึ้นอัตราดอกเบี้ย การขึ้นค่าแรง อาจกล่าวได้ว่า เสาหลักสำคัญในการพัฒนาและยกอันดับขีดความสามารถในการแข่งขันของประเทศ และมิได้ขึ้นอยู่กับบริษัทยักษ์ใหญ่เท่านั้น แต่ยังขึ้นอยู่กับความสามารถของ SMEs ไทย ซึ่งเป็นอีกกลุ่มสำคัญในการขับเคลื่อน GDP ของประเทศ ที่มีกิจการครอบคลุมทั้งภาคการจ้างงาน การส่งออก การค้า บริการ การผลิต ธุรกิจเกษตร รวมถึงการเป็นซัพพลายเออร์ (Supplier) ให้บริษัทขนาดใหญ่ของโลกอีกด้วย และเป็นคำตอบอีกว่า “ประเทศไทยจำเป็นต้องมี SMEs”Thailand has continuously developed its economy and industry through various mechanisms while facing risks and challenges from both internal and external factors, including economic volatility and recession, labor shortages, rising interest rates, and increased labor costs. It can be stated that a crucial pillar for the development and enhancement of the country's competitive capabilities does not rely solely on large corporations, but also on the capabilities of Thai SMEs, which play a significant role in driving the country's GDP. These enterprises encompass employment, export, trade, services, manufacturing, and agriculture, as well as serving as suppliers to large global companies. This further affirms that 'Thailand needs SMEs.'
