เมื่อวันที่ 28 พฤศจิกายน 2567 นายเกรียงไกร เธียรนุกุล ประธานสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) เข้าร่วมงานเลี้ยงอาหารกลางวัน ซึ่งรัฐบาลจัดขึ้นเพื่อเป็นเกียรติแก่ นายลอเรนซ์ หว่อง (Mr. Lawrence Wong) นายกรัฐมนตรีสาธารณรัฐสิงคโปร์ และภริยา ในโอกาสการเยือนประเทศไทยเป็นทางการครั้งแรกและในฐานะแขกของรัฐบาล และเพื่อกระชับความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างสองประเทศ ณ ตึกสันติไมตรี (หลังนอก) ทำเนียบรัฐบาล
การเยือนครั้งนี้ ถือเป็นครั้งแรกของนายลอเรนซ์ หว่อง หลังเข้ารับตำแหน่งนายกรัฐมนตรีเมื่อเดือนพฤษภาคม 2567 จึงเป็นโอกาสอันดีในการกระชับความสัมพันธ์ทางเศรษฐกิจ การค้า และความร่วมมือระหว่างประเทศไทยและสิงคโปร์ให้แน่นแฟ้นยิ่งขึ้น พร้อมทั้งเปิดโอกาสการหารือในประเด็นสำคัญที่เกี่ยวข้องกับผลประโยชน์ของทั้งสองประเทศ
ในงานเลี้ยงดังกล่าว นายสุริยะ จึงรุ่งเรืองกิจ รองนายกรัฐมนตรีและรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงคมนาคม นายมาริษ เสงี่ยมพงษ์ รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ นายจุลพันธ์ อมรวิวัฒน์ รัฐมนตรีช่วยว่าการกระทรวงการคลัง นายพิชัย นริพทะพันธุ์ รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงพาณิชย์ นายแพทย์พรหมินทร์ เลิศสุริย์เดช เลขาธิการนายกรัฐมนตรี นายชัชชาติ สิทธิพันธ์ ผู้ว่าราชการกรุงเทพมหานคร ได้ร่วมให้การต้อนรับในครั้งนี้ด้วย
On November 28, 2024, Mr. Kriengsak Tiandnukul, Chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), attended a luncheon hosted by the government in honor of Mr. Lawrence Wong, Prime Minister of the Republic of Singapore, and his wife, on the occasion of his first official visit to Thailand as a guest of the government. The event aimed to strengthen the relationship between the two countries and took place at the Santimaitri Building (Outer Building) of the Government House.
The visit marks Mr. Lawrence Wong's first since assuming the role of Prime Minister in May 2024, presenting a valuable opportunity to reinforce economic, trade, and cooperative relations between Thailand and Singapore, while allowing discussions on significant issues related to the mutual interests of both countries.
During the luncheon, Mr. Surayud Chulanont, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport, Mr. Maris Sanghiampong, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Julapong Amornvivat, Deputy Minister of Finance, Mr. Pichai Naripthapatan, Minister of Commerce, Dr. Phrommin Lertsureethachai, Secretary to the Prime Minister, and Mr. Chadchart Sittipunt, Governor of Bangkok, also extended their welcome during this occasion.
