เมื่อวันพฤหัสบดีที่ 22 สิงหาคม 2567 นายอสิ ตัณสถิตย์ รองประธานสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) เข้าร่วมงาน "BRICS FORUM THAILAND 2024" จัดโดยสโมสรสื่อมวลชนนานาชาติ ประเทศไทย (International Media Club of Thailand - IMCT) ซึ่งเป็นเวทีสำหรับประเทศไทยสู่โอกาสใหม่ใน BRICS เพื่อสร้างการรับรู้เกี่ยวกับกลุ่มประเทศ BRICS ภายในงานได้รับเกียรติจาก เอกอัครราชทูตจากประเทศสมาชิก BRICS อาทิ H.E. Mr. Evgeny Tomikhin เอกอัครราชทูตแห่งสาธารณรัฐรัสเซีย H.E. Mr. Nagesh Singh เอกอัครราชทูตแห่งสาธารณรัฐอินเดีย H.E. Mr. Darkey Ephraim Africa เอกอัครราชทูตแห่งสาธารณรัฐแอฟริกาใต้ และ H.E. Mr. Nassereddin Heidari เอกอัครราชทูตแห่งสาธารณรัฐอิสลามอิหร่าน รวมถึงประธานหอการค้าประเทศสมาชิก BRICS ในไทยในการแลกเปลี่ยนความคิดเห็นด้านเศรษฐกิจและการเมืองโลก และประเทศไทยควรปรับตัวอย่างไรในยุคระเบียบโลกใหม่ รวมถึงโอกาสและความท้าทายของไทยในด้านเศรษฐกิจ การเงิน การค้า การลงทุน และความเป็นไปได้ในอนาคตที่ไทยจะได้เข้าร่วมเป็นสมาชิก BRICS ณ โรงแรมอนันตรา สยาม กรุงเทพฯ
การจัดงาน BRICS FORUM THAILAND 2024 เป็นการแสดงความพร้อมของไทยในการร่วมเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของกลุ่ม BRICS เพื่อเปิดโอกาสให้ไทยพร้อมรับมือกับการเปลี่ยนแปลงของเศรษฐกิจโลก พร้อมสร้างเครือข่ายกับผู้นำจากประเทศสมาชิก เพื่อก้าวสู่การเป็นสมาชิก BRICS รายแรกจากเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ เพื่อความร่วมมือที่เป็นประโยชน์ระหว่างไทยกับประเทศในกลุ่ม BRICS
On Thursday, August 22, 2024, Mr. Axi Tansathit, Vice Chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), participated in the "BRICS FORUM THAILAND 2024" organized by the International Media Club of Thailand (IMCT), which served as a platform for Thailand to explore new opportunities within BRICS to raise awareness about the BRICS member countries. The event was honored by the presence of ambassadors from BRICS member nations, including H.E. Mr. Evgeny Tomikhin, Ambassador of the Russian Federation; H.E. Mr. Nagesh Singh, Ambassador of the Republic of India; H.E. Mr. Darkey Ephraim Africa, Ambassador of the Republic of South Africa; and H.E. Mr. Nassereddin Heidari, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran, as well as representatives from the chamber of commerce of BRICS member countries in Thailand, discussing global economic and political views, how Thailand should adapt in this new world order, and the opportunities and challenges for Thailand in terms of economy, finance, trade, investment, and the potential for Thailand to join BRICS in the future at Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel.
The organization of the BRICS FORUM THAILAND 2024 demonstrates Thailand's readiness to be part of the BRICS group, opening avenues for Thailand to prepare for the changes in the global economy while establishing networks with leaders from member countries, aiming to become the first BRICS member from Southeast Asia for beneficial cooperation between Thailand and BRICS countries.
