เมื่อวันที่ 2 มิถุนายน 2569 นายกิตติ ตั้งจิตรมณีศักดา รองประธานอาวุโส สภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) พร้อมด้วยนายมนตรี มหาพฤกษ์พงศ์ รองประธาน ส.อ.ท. และนายเจน นำชัยศิริ กรรมการ ส.อ.ท. และประธานกลุ่มอุตสาหกรรมสิ่งทอ เข้าร่วมงานเลี้ยงรับรองและมอบกระเช้าดอกไม้แสดงความยินดีแก่ H.E. Mr. Paolo Dionisi เอกอัครราชทูตสาธารณรัฐอิตาลีประจำประเทศไทย เนื่องในโอกาสวันชาติสาธารณรัฐอิตาลี และการเฉลิมฉลองวาระครบรอบ 80 ปีแห่งการสถาปนาสาธารณรัฐอิตาลี ณ สยามพารากอน ฮอลล์ กรุงเทพฯ
ภายในงานมีการบรรเลงบทเพลงไทยและอิตาลีโดยวง Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra สะท้อนถึงมิตรภาพและความสัมพันธ์อันแน่นแฟ้นระหว่างทั้งสองประเทศ
นอกจากนี้ ยังมีการนำเสนออาหารอิตาเลียนหลากหลายเมนูที่สะท้อนเอกลักษณ์และมรดกทางวัฒนธรรมอันโดดเด่นของอิตาลี ทั้งนี้ วัฒนธรรมอาหารอิตาเลียนได้รับการขึ้นทะเบียนจากองค์การยูเนสโก ให้เป็นมรดกทางวัฒนธรรมที่จับต้องไม่ได้ของมนุษยชาติ
ประเทศไทยและสาธารณรัฐอิตาลี ได้สถาปนาความสัมพันธ์ทางการทูตระหว่างกันผ่านการลงนามในสนธิสัญญามิตรภาพ การพาณิชย์ และการเดินเรือ เมื่อวันที่ 3 ตุลาคม 2411 และได้พัฒนาความร่วมมืออย่างต่อเนื่องในหลากหลายมิติ ทั้งด้านการเมือง เศรษฐกิจ วัฒนธรรม เทคโนโลยี และนวัตกรรม
ปัจจุบัน สาธารณรัฐอิตาลีมีบทบาทสำคัญในการสนับสนุนการเจรจาความตกลงการค้าเสรีไทย–สหภาพยุโรป (Thailand–EU FTA) ซึ่งจะเป็นกลไกสำคัญในการขยายโอกาสทางการค้าและการลงทุน ตลอดจนเสริมสร้างความร่วมมือทางเศรษฐกิจระหว่างไทยและอิตาลีให้แน่นแฟ้นยิ่งขึ้นในระยะยาว
On June 2, 2026, Mr. Kitti Tangjitrmanesakda, Senior Vice Chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), along with Mr. Montree Mahapruetpong, Vice Chairman of FTI, and Mr. Jane Namchaisiri, FTI Board Member and Chairman of the Textile Industry Group, attended a reception and presented a floral basket to H.E. Mr. Paolo Dionisi, Ambassador of the Republic of Italy to Thailand, on the occasion of Italian Republic Day and the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the Republic of Italy at Siam Paragon Hall, Bangkok.
During the event, Thai and Italian music pieces were performed by the Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra, reflecting the friendship and strong relationship between the two countries.
Additionally, a variety of Italian dishes were presented, showcasing the unique characteristics and outstanding cultural heritage of Italy. The Italian food culture has been recognized by UNESCO as an intangible cultural heritage of humanity.
Thailand and the Republic of Italy established diplomatic relations through the signing of a treaty of friendship, commerce, and navigation on October 3, 1868, and have continuously developed cooperation in various dimensions, including politics, economics, culture, technology, and innovation.
Currently, the Republic of Italy plays a significant role in supporting the negotiations for the Thailand–European Union Free Trade Agreement (Thailand–EU FTA), which will be a key mechanism for expanding trade and investment opportunities, as well as strengthening economic cooperation between Thailand and Italy in the long term.
