เมื่อวันพุธที่ 21 ตุลาคม 2569 นางพิมพ์ใจ ลี้อิสสระนุกูล ประธานสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) พร้อมด้วยศาสตราจารย์ นายแพทย์ปิยะมิตร ศรีธรา อธิการบดีมหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล และคณะผู้บริหารระดับสูง เข้าร่วมการประชุมคณะกรรมการกำกับดูแลเชิงนโยบายและดำเนินงานภายใต้บันทึกข้อตกลงความร่วมมือโครงการนวัตกรรมต้นแบบ Smart Agriculture Industry (SAI) ครั้งที่ 1/2569 เพื่อหารือแนวทางขับเคลื่อนความร่วมมือและเชื่อมโยงองค์ความรู้และงานวิจัยให้สอดคล้องกับความต้องการของภาคอุตสาหกรรม พร้อมร่วมลงนามความร่วมมือ (MOU) ครั้งที่ 2 โดยมี ผู้บริหารทั้งสองฝ่ายร่วมเป็นสักขีพยาน เพื่อบูรณาการความร่วมมือในการเรียนรู้และบ่มเพาะแนวทางเกษตรอัจฉริยะอย่างเป็นรูปธรรม ณ ห้องประชุม 530 ชั้น 5 อาคารสำนักงานอธิการบดี มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล
ที่ประชุมได้หารือแนวทางกำหนดโจทย์วิจัยและเป้าหมายการพัฒนาให้ชัดเจน ตั้งแต่การสกัดสาร การศึกษาข้อมูลและหลักฐานทางวิชาการเพื่อรองรับคุณประโยชน์ของผลิตภัณฑ์ ไปจนถึงการพัฒนาผลิตภัณฑ์อาหารและผลิตภัณฑ์เสริมอาหาร โดยเชื่อมโยงความเชี่ยวชาญทางวิชาการเข้ากับความต้องการของผู้ประกอบการและคลัสเตอร์อุตสาหกรรม พร้อมให้ความสำคัญกับมาตรฐานคุณภาพ ความต้องการของตลาด และความเป็นไปได้ในการต่อยอดเชิงพาณิชย์ เพื่อเพิ่มโอกาสในการนำผลงานวิจัยไปใช้ประโยชน์อย่างเป็นรูปธรรม
นอกจากนี้ ยังได้หารือแนวทางจัดตั้งคณะอนุกรรมการหรือคณะทำงานร่วม พร้อมกำหนดบทบาทหน้าที่และผู้ประสานงานให้ชัดเจน ควบคู่กับการพัฒนาพื้นที่นำร่องเพื่อทดลองและขยายผล ตลอดจนกำหนดกรอบการใช้พื้นที่ การบริหารจัดการ งบประมาณ และการสนับสนุนทรัพยากรของแต่ละฝ่ายภายใต้ข้อตกลงความร่วมมือ รวมถึงการพิจารณาโอกาสในการขอรับการสนับสนุนจากแหล่งทุนภายนอก

On Wednesday, October 21, 2026, Ms. Pimjai Leeissaranukul, Chairman of The Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), along with Professor Dr. Piyamit Sritara, President of Mahidol University, and senior executives, participated in the first policy advisory committee meeting under the memorandum of understanding for the Smart Agriculture Industry (SAI) prototype innovation project, to discuss ways to enhance cooperation and connect knowledge and research with the needs of the industrial sector. They also signed a second memorandum of understanding (MOU) with executives from both sides acting as witnesses to concretize cooperation in learning and nurturing smart agriculture approaches at Meeting Room 530, 5th Floor, Office of the President Building, Mahidol University.
The meeting discussed ways to define research questions and development goals clearly, from extraction of substances, studying data and academic evidence to support the benefits of products, to the development of food and dietary supplement products, while linking academic expertise with the needs of entrepreneurs and industrial clusters. Importance was also placed on quality standards, market demand, and the feasibility of commercial scaling, in order to enhance the opportunities for practical application of research outcomes.
In addition, the meeting also discussed establishing a subcommittee or joint working group, clearly defining roles and responsibilities as well as coordinators, alongside the development of pilot areas for testing and scaling, as well as determining the framework for land use, management, budget, and resources support from each party under the cooperation agreement, including considering opportunities for external funding support.
