เมื่อวันพฤหัสบดีที่ 28 พฤษภาคม 2569 นางพิมพ์ใจ ลี้อิสสระนุกูล ประธานสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) ได้รับเชิญเข้าร่วมงานเลี้ยงรับรองอาหารค่ำ เพื่อเป็นเกียรติแก่นายโต เลิม เลขาธิการใหญ่พรรคคอมมิวนิสต์เวียดนาม และประธานาธิบดีแห่งสาธารณรัฐสังคมนิยมเวียดนาม ซึ่งเดินทางเยือนประเทศไทยอย่างเป็นทางการ โดยมีนายอนุทิน ชาญวีรกูล นายกรัฐมนตรีและรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงมหาดไทย เป็นเจ้าภาพ ณ ตึกสันติไมตรี (หลังนอก) ทำเนียบรัฐบาล
การเยือนครั้งนี้มีขึ้นในวาระครบรอบ 50 ปี ความสัมพันธ์ทางการทูตไทย–เวียดนาม ซึ่งตลอดระยะเวลาที่ผ่านมา ความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างทั้งสองประเทศได้พัฒนาอย่างต่อเนื่องจาก “มิตรภาพ” สู่ “หุ้นส่วนทางยุทธศาสตร์” ที่มีบทบาทสำคัญต่อการเสริมสร้างความร่วมมือในมิติต่าง ๆ และการพัฒนาร่วมกันในระดับภูมิภาค
ด้านความสัมพันธ์ทางเศรษฐกิจและการค้า ไทยและเวียดนามยังคงเป็นคู่ค้าสำคัญของกันและกัน โดยในปี 2568 มูลค่าการค้ารวมระหว่างไทยและเวียดนามอยู่ที่กว่า 2.36 หมื่นล้านดอลลาร์สหรัฐ แบ่งเป็นมูลค่าการส่งออกจากไทยไปเวียดนามกว่า 1.28 หมื่นล้านดอลลาร์สหรัฐ และมูลค่าการนำเข้าจากเวียดนามกว่า 1.08 หมื่นล้านดอลลาร์สหรัฐ พร้อมตั้งเป้ามูลค่าการค้ารวมสู่ 2.5 หมื่นล้านดอลลาร์สหรัฐในปี 2569 ซึ่งสะท้อนถึงแนวโน้มการเติบโตด้านการค้าและการลงทุนระหว่างสองประเทศที่ยังขยายตัวอย่างต่อเนื่อง
On Thursday, May 28, 2026, Mrs. Pimjai Leeissaranukul, President of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), was invited to attend a dinner reception in honor of Mr. To Lam, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam and President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, who was visiting Thailand on an official basis. The event was hosted by Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, at the Santimaitri Building (Outer) of the Government House.
This visit coincides with the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Thailand and Vietnam, which have continuously developed from a “friendship” to a “strategic partnership” that plays a vital role in enhancing cooperation across various dimensions and joint development at the regional level.
In terms of economic and trade relations, Thailand and Vietnam remain important trading partners for each other. In 2025, the total trade value between Thailand and Vietnam was over 23.6 billion U.S. dollars, comprising exports from Thailand to Vietnam of over 12.8 billion U.S. dollars and imports from Vietnam of over 10.8 billion U.S. dollars. Both countries aim to increase the total trade value to 25 billion U.S. dollars in 2026, reflecting the ongoing growth trend in trade and investment between the two nations.
