เมื่อวันที่ 15 ธันวาคม 2568 นายเกรียงไกร เธียรนุกุล ประธานสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) พร้อมด้วยนายนาวา จันทนสุรคน รองประธาน ส.อ.ท. เข้าร่วมงานแถลงข่าวเปิดตัวโครงการ Nation TV Election 2569 “จุดเปลี่ยนประเทศไทย” ของสำนักพิมพ์เนชั่น กรุ๊ป ณ โถงรับรอง อาคารเนชั่น ชั้น 1
ส.อ.ท. เข้าร่วมในฐานะภาคีพันธมิตร เพื่อสนับสนุนการรณรงค์การเลือกตั้งที่สุจริต โปร่งใส และมีคุณภาพ
ภายในงานได้รับเกียรติจากคณะผู้บริหารเครือเนชั่น นำโดยนายฉาย บุนนาค ประธานกรรมการบริหารและประธานเจ้าหน้าที่บริหาร เนชั่น กรุ๊ป นายสมชาย มีเสน รองประธานกรรมการ นายบากบั่น บุญเลิศ รองประธานกรรมการบริหาร และนายวีระศักดิ์ พงษ์อักษร บรรณาธิการอำนวยการเครือเนชั่น ร่วมสะท้อนเป้าหมายและความพร้อมของโครงการในการเป็นสื่อกลางสร้างความตื่นตัวทางการเมือง และเชื่อมโยงพรรคการเมืองกับประชาชนผ่านเวทีสาธารณะทั่วประเทศ
นายเกรียงไกร กล่าวว่า การเลือกตั้งปี 2569 มีความสำคัญอย่างยิ่งต่อความเชื่อมั่นทางเศรษฐกิจ โดยคณะกรรมการร่วมภาคเอกชน 3 สถาบัน (กกร.) คาดการณ์ว่าเศรษฐกิจไทยปีนี้จะขยายตัวเพียงร้อยละ 1.8–2.2 ซึ่งสะท้อนภาวะเศรษฐกิจที่อยู่ในระดับต่ำต่อเนื่อง เมื่อเทียบกับประเทศเพื่อนบ้านในภูมิภาค ขณะเดียวกัน หากประเทศไทยไม่เกิดการเปลี่ยนแปลงเชิงโครงสร้างอย่างมีนัยสำคัญ อาจส่งผลให้ขีดความสามารถทางเศรษฐกิจของประเทศลดลง โดยมีการประเมินว่าในปี ค.ศ. 2030 ไทยอาจหลุดจากอันดับ 2 มาอยู่ในอันดับ 5 ของภูมิภาคเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้
นายเกรียงไกร กล่าวเพิ่มเติมว่า ปัญหาการเมืองเป็นปัจจัยหลักที่บั่นทอนความเชื่อมั่น ส่งผลกระทบต่อเศรษฐกิจ การลงทุน และคุณภาพชีวิตของประชาชน พร้อมแสดงความกังวลต่อการแทรกแซงของทุนสีเทาและการทุจริต ซึ่งอาจครอบงำกระบวนการทางการเมือง หากไม่มีกลไกป้องกันที่เข้มแข็ง โดย ส.อ.ท. และภาคีเครือข่ายได้ประกาศเจตนารมณ์ “Zero Corruption” ร่วมกับสื่อมวลชน เพื่อสร้างการเปลี่ยนแปลงเชิงบวกให้กับประเทศ
ทั้งนี้ นายเกรียงไกร เน้นย้ำว่า การเลือกตั้งเชื่อมโยงโดยตรงกับปัญหาปากท้องของประชาชน ทั้งกำลังซื้อที่ลดลง หนี้ครัวเรือนที่อยู่ในระดับสูง ปัญหา NPL ของภาคธุรกิจ รวมถึงความสามารถในการแข่งขันของผู้ประกอบการไทย โดยเฉพาะ SME ที่เผชิญการแข่งขันที่ไม่เป็นธรรม พร้อมเรียกร้องให้ประชาชนออกมาใช้สิทธิ์เลือกตั้งอย่างพร้อมเพรียง เพื่อร่วมกำหนดทิศทางประเทศ และสร้างความเปลี่ยนแปลงที่ยั่งยืนในระยะยาว
On December 15, 2025, Mr. Kriangkrai Thiennukul, President of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), along with Mr. Nava Chanthanasurakorn, Vice President of FTI, participated in the press conference launching the Nation TV Election 2026 project “Turning Point for Thailand” organized by Nation Group at the reception hall, Nation Building, 1st floor.
FTI participated as a partner to support the campaign for honest, transparent, and quality elections.
The event was honored by executives from Nation Group, led by Mr. Chai Bunnag, Chairman of the Executive Board and CEO of Nation Group, Mr. Somchai Mee-sen, Vice Chairman of the Board, Mr. Bakban Boonlert, Vice Chairman of the Executive Board, and Mr. Veerasak Phongakson, Editor-in-Chief of Nation Group, who reflected on the goals and readiness of the project to serve as a medium to enhance political awareness and connect political parties with citizens through public forums nationwide.
Mr. Kriangkrai emphasized that the election in 2026 is of utmost importance to economic confidence, as the Joint Private Sector Committee of three institutions (JSCC) predicts that Thailand's economy will expand by only 1.8–2.2% this year, which reflects a continuously low economic state compared to neighboring countries in the region. At the same time, if Thailand does not undergo significant structural changes, it may reduce the country's economic capability, with predictions that by 2030, Thailand may drop from the 2nd position to 5th in Southeast Asia.
Mr. Kriangkrai additionally stated that political issues are a primary factor undermining confidence, affecting the economy, investment, and quality of life of citizens. He expressed concerns over the interference of grey capital and corruption that could dominate the political process if there are no strong preventive mechanisms. FTI and its network partners have declared the intention of “Zero Corruption” in conjunction with media outlets to bring about positive change for the country.
Furthermore, Mr. Kriangkrai emphasized that elections are directly linked to the livelihood issues of the people, such as declining purchasing power, high household debt, the Non-Performing Loan (NPL) problem in the business sector, and the competitiveness of Thai entrepreneurs, particularly SMEs facing unfair competition. He called on citizens to exercise their voting rights in unison to help determine the country's direction and create sustainable changes in the long term.
