เมื่อวันที่ 8 ธันวาคม 2568 นายญาณพล ลิมปนะโชคชัย รองเลขาธิการสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) และประธานสภาธุรกิจไทย–แอฟริกาใต้ เข้าร่วมงาน “The Relaunching of the Thailand – Africa Initiative” ซึ่งจัดโดยกรมเอเชียใต้ ตะวันออกกลางและแอฟริกา กระทรวงการต่างประเทศ โดยได้รับเกียรติจากนายสีหศักดิ์ พวงเกตุแก้ว รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ เป็นประธานในการแถลงนโยบาย ณ โรงแรมเดอะ สุโกศล กรุงเทพฯ
ภายในงาน มีการแถลงข้อริเริ่ม Thailand – Africa Initiative (TAI) ซึ่งเป็นนโยบายการต่างประเทศของไทยต่อภูมิภาคแอฟริกา ที่เริ่มดำเนินการมาตั้งแต่ปี 2556 โดยกระทรวงฯ ได้ปรับแนวทางนโยบายให้สอดคล้องกับบริบทปัจจุบัน ครอบคลุม 4 มิติสำคัญ ได้แก่ การเมือง เศรษฐกิจ การพัฒนา และความร่วมมือเชิงยุทธศาสตร์ระหว่างประเทศ
นอกจากนี้ ฝ่ายไทยยังได้รับเกียรติจากนาย Yusuf Maitama Tuggar รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศสาธารณรัฐไนจีเรีย กล่าวแสดงวิสัยทัศน์ต่อการเสริมสร้างความร่วมมือภายใต้ TAI ซึ่งสอดคล้องกับ “Agenda 2063” ของสหภาพแอฟริกา
พร้อมกันนี้ รัฐมนตรีทั้งสองประเทศยังร่วมเป็นสักขีพยานในการลงนามบันทึกความเข้าใจว่าด้วยความร่วมมือระหว่างมหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์กับศูนย์ข้าวแอฟริกา เพื่อส่งเสริมความมั่นคงทางอาหารของภูมิภาค
การเข้าร่วมงานครั้งนี้ ถือเป็นโอกาสสำคัญในการขยายเครือข่ายความร่วมมือด้านการค้าและการลงทุนระหว่างไทยกับประเทศในภูมิภาคแอฟริกา ตลอดจนผลักดันความร่วมมือเชิงยุทธศาสตร์ในอนาคต ซึ่งจะช่วยเสริมความแข็งแกร่งให้ภาคอุตสาหกรรมไทยบนเวทีเศรษฐกิจโลก
On December 8, 2025, Mr. Yanapol Limpanachokchai, Deputy Secretary-General of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) and Chairman of the Thai–South Africa Business Council, participated in the event “The Relaunching of the Thailand – Africa Initiative” organized by the Department of South Asia, Middle East and Africa, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which was honored by Mr. Surakiart Sathirathai, Minister of Foreign Affairs, as the presiding officer of the policy announcement at the Sukosol Hotel in Bangkok.
During the event, the Thailand – Africa Initiative (TAI) was announced, which is Thailand's foreign policy towards the African region that has been in operation since 2013. The Ministry has adjusted the policy direction to align with the current context, covering 4 important dimensions: politics, economics, development, and international strategic cooperation.
Furthermore, the Thai side was honored by Mr. Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, who expressed his vision for enhancing cooperation under TAI, which aligns with the “Agenda 2063” of the African Union.
Additionally, ministers from both countries witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding on cooperation between Kasetsart University and the Africa Rice Center to promote food security in the region.
Participation in this event is considered a significant opportunity to expand trade and investment cooperation between Thailand and countries in the African region, as well as to promote strategic cooperation in the future, which will strengthen the Thai industrial sector on the global economic stage.
