เมื่อวันที่ 29 ตุลาคม 2568 นายวิเชาวน์ รักพงษ์ไพโรจน์ รองประธานสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) พร้อมด้วยนายอภิภพ พึ่งชาญชัยกุล รองเลขาธิการ ส.อ.ท. และนายสืบพงศ์ เกตุนุติ กรรมการ ส.อ.ท. และกรรมการสภาธุรกิจไทย–ตุรกี เข้าร่วมงานวันชาติสาธารณรัฐตุรกี พร้อมมอบกระเช้าดอกไม้แสดงความยินดีกับ H.E. Ms. Julide Kayihan เอกอัครราชทูตสาธารณรัฐตุรกีประจำประเทศไทย เนื่องในโอกาสครบรอบ 102 ปี วันสาธารณรัฐตุรกี โดยมีนายวัน มูฮัมหมัด นอร์มะทา ประธานสภาผู้แทนราษฎร ให้เกียรติร่วมกล่าวแสดงความยินดี ณ โรงแรมโฟร์ซีซั่นส์ กรุงเทพฯ
ทั้งนี้ ประเทศไทยและสาธารณรัฐตุรกี สถาปนาความสัมพันธ์ทางการทูตอย่างเป็นทางการตั้งแต่ปี 2501 และดำเนินความร่วมมือระหว่างกันอย่างรอบด้านทั้งในด้านการเมือง เศรษฐกิจ การค้า การลงทุน และวัฒนธรรม
ปัจจุบันตุรกี ถือเป็นคู่ค้าอันดับที่ 4 ของไทยในภูมิภาคตะวันออกกลาง โดยมีมูลค่าการค้าเพิ่มขึ้นอย่างต่อเนื่อง นอกจากนี้ ทั้งสองประเทศยังร่วมกันผลักดันการจัดทำความตกลงการค้าเสรีไทย–ตุรกี (FTA) เพื่อขยายโอกาสทางเศรษฐกิจและการลงทุนในอนาคต
ไทยและตุรกี ยังมีการแลกเปลี่ยนคณะผู้แทนสมาชิกรัฐสภาระหว่างกันอย่างต่อเนื่อง รวมทั้งความร่วมมือภายใต้กรอบของสหภาพรัฐสภา (Inter-Parliamentary Union: IPU) ซึ่งสาธารณรัฐตุรกีกำลังจะเป็นเจ้าภาพจัดการประชุมสหภาพรัฐสภา (IPU) ครั้งที่ 152 ณ นครอิสตันบูล ในเดือนเมษายน ปี 2569
On October 29, 2025, Mr. Vichawan Rakkhapongphiroj, Vice President of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), along with Mr. Apipob Phuengchanchaikull, Deputy Secretary-General of FTI, and Mr. Suipong Ketunutit, FTI Board Member and Board Member of the Thai–Turkish Business Council, attended the National Day of the Republic of Turkey event and presented a flower basket to congratulate H.E. Ms. Julide Kayihan, Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Thailand, on the occasion of the 102nd anniversary of the Republic of Turkey. Mr. Wan Muhammad Normatha, President of the House of Representatives, graciously joined in offering congratulations at the Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok.
Thailand and the Republic of Turkey have established formal diplomatic relations since 1958 and have cooperated extensively in various fields including politics, economy, trade, investment, and culture.
Currently, Turkey is Thailand's 4th largest trading partner in the Middle East, with trade value continuously increasing. Furthermore, both countries are jointly promoting the establishment of a Thailand–Turkey Free Trade Agreement (FTA) to expand economic and investment opportunities in the future.
Thailand and Turkey also engage in ongoing exchanges of parliamentary delegation visits, as well as cooperation under the framework of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), with Turkey set to host the 152nd IPU Assembly in Istanbul in April 2026.
