เมื่อวันที่ 23 กรกฎาคม 2568 นายเกรียงไกร เธียรนุกุล ประธานสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) พร้อมด้วยนายอสิ ตัณสถิตย์ และนางสาวเพชรรัตน์ เอกแสงกุล รองประธาน ส.อ.ท. เข้าร่วมงานรับรองพร้อมมอบกระเช้าดอกไม้แสดงความยินดีกับนางฮาละห์ ยูซุฟ อะห์มัด เราะญับ (H.E. Mrs. Hala Youssef Ahmed Ragab) เอกอัครราชทูตอียิปต์ประจำประเทศไทย เนื่องในโอกาสวันชาติอียิปต์ โดยภายในงานยังได้รับเกียรติจากนายวันมูหะมัดนอร์ มะทา ประธานสภาผู้แทนราษฎร ขึ้นกล่าวสุนทรพจน์ร่วมแสดงความยินดี ณ โรงแรม ดิ แอทธินี โฮเทล กรุงเทพฯ
ทั้งนี้ ประเทศไทยกับสาธารณรัฐอาหรับอียิปต์สถาปนาความสัมพันธ์ทางการทูตระหว่างกันตั้งแต่วันที่ 27 กันยายน 2497 โดยสาธารณรัฐอาหรับอียิปต์ถือเป็นประเทศแรกในกลุ่มประเทศอาหรับที่สถาปนาความสัมพันธ์ทางการทูตกับประเทศไทย โดยทั้งสองประเทศได้ดำเนินความร่วมมืออย่างใกล้ชิดกันในหลายมิติทั้งในด้านการเมือง การค้า การลงทุน วัฒนธรรม การศึกษา และพร้อมที่จะแสวงหาความร่วมมือกันในสาขาอื่นๆ ในอนาคต เช่น พลังงานสะอาด และความมั่นคงทางอาหาร เป็นต้น
On July 23, 2025, Mr. Kriangkrai Tiranukul, Chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), together with Mr. Asit Tanasatit and Ms. Petcharat Aeksangkul, Vice Chairpersons of FTI, attended a reception and presented a bouquet to congratulate H.E. Mrs. Hala Youssef Ahmed Ragab, the Ambassador of Egypt to Thailand, on the occasion of Egypt's National Day. The event was honored by Mr. Wan Muhammad Noor Matha, Speaker of the House of Representatives, delivering a congratulatory speech at The Athenee Hotel, Bangkok.
Thailand and the Arab Republic of Egypt have established diplomatic relations since September 27, 1954. The Arab Republic of Egypt is the first country in the Arab world to establish diplomatic relations with Thailand. Both countries have cooperated closely in various dimensions, including politics, trade, investment, culture, education, and are ready to seek cooperation in other fields in the future, such as clean energy and food security.
