วันที่ 17 มกราคม 2568 นายเวทิต โชควัฒนา รองประธานสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) และประธานสายงานอาเซียนและโลจิสติกส์ พร้อมด้วยนายปณิธาน ปวโรฬารวิทยา รองเลขาธิการ ส.อ.ท. และเลขาธิการสายงานอาเซียนและโลจิสติกส์ เข้าร่วมงานร่วมรับประทานอาหารกลางวันกับผู้บริหาร และรัฐมนตรีดิจิทัลของประเทศสมาชิกอาเซียน (CEO Lunch with ASEAN Digital Ministers) ในโอกาสที่ประเทศไทย เป็นเจ้าภาพจัดงานประชุมรัฐมนตรีอาเซียนด้านดิจิทัล ครั้งที่ 5 (The 5th ASEAN Digital Ministers’ Meeting: ADGMIN) โดยมีผู้แทนจาก 10 ประเทศสมาชิกอาเซียน พร้อมคู่เจรจาสำคัญอย่างจีน ญี่ปุ่น เกาหลีใต้ สหรัฐอเมริกา อินเดีย และสหภาพโทรคมนาคมระหว่างประเทศ (ITU) รวมถึงผู้แทนติมอร์-เลสเต และผู้แทนจากภาครัฐและเอกชนเข้าร่วม ณ โรงแรมอนันตรา ริเวอร์ไซด์ กรุงเทพฯ
ภายในงาน Mr. Wilson White, Google’s Vice President of Government Affairs and Public Policy, Asia Pacific ผู้บริหาร Google กล่าวต้อนรับ และได้รับเกียรติจากนายประเสริฐ จันทรรวงทอง รองนายกรัฐมนตรี และรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงดิจิทัลเพื่อเศรษฐกิจและสังคมของไทย กล่าวสุนทรพจน์ โดยการจัดกิจกรรมดังกล่าว มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อเชื่อมความสัมพันธ์ และสร้างเครือข่ายระหว่างหน่วยงานรัฐ ผู้นำภาคอุตสาหกรรม และผู้เชี่ยวชาญ ที่จะมาร่วมแลกเปลี่ยนประเด็นต่างๆ ในยุดดิจิทัล โดยให้ความสำคัญกับการไหลเวียนด้านข้อมูลระหว่างพรมแดน และการพัฒนาด้านปัญญาประดิษฐ์ (AI) โดยมีเป้าหมายในการสร้างอนาคตดิจิทัลที่แข็งแกร่ง ครอบคลุม และนำสมัย พร้อมก้าวข้ามความท้าทายสู่โอกาสใหม่ในภูมิภาคอย่างยั่งยืน
On January 17, 2025, Mr. Vethit Chokwatana, Vice President of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) and Chair of the ASEAN and Logistics Subcommittee, along with Mr. Panitthan Pawarorntawit, Deputy Secretary-General of FTI and Secretary of the ASEAN and Logistics Subcommittee, participated in a lunch event with executives and digital ministers from ASEAN member countries (CEO Lunch with ASEAN Digital Ministers) on the occasion of Thailand hosting the 5th ASEAN Digital Ministers’ Meeting (ADGMIN). Representatives from 10 ASEAN member countries attended, alongside key counterparts from China, Japan, South Korea, the United States, India, and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), as well as representatives from Timor-Leste and both public and private sectors at the Anantara Riverside Bangkok Hotel.
During the event, Mr. Wilson White, Google’s Vice President of Government Affairs and Public Policy for Asia Pacific, welcomed attendees and was honored by the presence of Mr. Prasert Chanruangthong, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Economy and Society of Thailand, who delivered a speech. The objective of this event was to foster relationships and create networks among governmental agencies, industry leaders, and experts who came together to discuss various issues in the digital era, emphasizing cross-border data flow and advancements in artificial intelligence (AI), with the aim of building a strong, inclusive, and modern digital future while overcoming challenges to seize new opportunities sustainably in the region.
