เป็นกลไกหลักของภาคอุตสาหกรรมไทยในการขับเคลื่อนการบริหารจัดการน้ำ สิ่งแวดล้อม และการเปลี่ยนแปลงสภาพภูมิอากาศ เพื่อเสริมสร้างความยั่งยืนและความสามารถในการแข่งขันของประเทศ
พันธกิจ
- เป็นตัวแทนภาคอุตสาหกรรม รวบรวมและวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลจากผู้ประกอบการ เพื่อจัดทำข้อเสนอเชิงนโยบาย กฎหมาย และมาตรการที่สมดุลและนำไปปฏิบัติได้จริง
- ขับเคลื่อนความมั่นคงด้านน้ำ
- สนับสนุนการลดมลพิษ การจัดการกากอุตสาหกรรมอย่างถูกต้อง และการใช้ทรัพยากรอย่างคุ้มค่า ตามแนวทาง Circular Economy และ End-of-Waste
- สนับสนุนการเปลี่ยนผ่านสู่เศรษฐกิจคาร์บอนต่ำ
- พัฒนามาตรฐานอุตสาหกรรมเพื่อความยั่งยืน พัฒนาระบบรับรองและบริการทางวิชาการ เช่น Eco Factory และ Water Footprint ให้เหมาะสมกับบริบทอุตสาหกรรมและสอดคล้องกับมาตรฐานสากล
- เชื่อมโยงเทคโนโลยี นวัตกรรม และแหล่งทุน เชื่อมโจทย์อุตสาหกรรมกับงานวิจัย เทคโนโลยี ผู้ให้บริการ และกลไกทางการเงิน เพื่อสนับสนุนโครงการนำร่องและการขยายผล
- พัฒนาศักยภาพและให้บริการภาคอุตสาหกรรม ให้บริการข้อมูล คำปรึกษา ฝึกอบรม ประเมิน ทวนสอบ และรับรอง เพื่อช่วยผู้ประกอบการและห่วงโซ่อุปทานปรับตัวได้อย่างเหมาะสม
- สร้างเครือข่ายความร่วมมือ เชื่อมโยงภาครัฐ ภาคเอกชน ภาควิชาการ สถาบันการเงิน และองค์กรระหว่างประเทศ เพื่อร่วมพัฒนาองค์ความรู้และขับเคลื่อนอุตสาหกรรมอย่างยั่งยืน
หน้าที่และความรับผิดชอบของหน่วยงาน
สถาบันน้ำ สิ่งแวดล้อม และ Climate Change (WECCI) ภายใต้สภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย ทำหน้าที่เป็นกลไกกลางเชื่อมโยงภาครัฐ ภาคอุตสาหกรรม และชุมชน ด้านการบริหารจัดการน้ำและสิ่งแวดล้อม

Vision
To serve as a main mechanism for the Thai industrial sector in driving the management of water, the environment, and climate change to enhance the sustainability and competitiveness of the country.
Mission
- To represent the industrial sector by collecting and analyzing data from entrepreneurs to formulate balanced and practical policy, legal proposals, and measures.
- To drive water security
- To support pollution reduction, proper management of industrial waste, and efficient resource use according to the Circular Economy and End-of-Waste approaches.
- To support the transition to a low-carbon economy
- To develop industry standards for sustainability by developing certification systems and academic services such as Eco Factory and Water Footprint to fit the industrial context and align with international standards.
- To connect technology, innovation, and funding sources by linking industrial challenges with research, technology, service providers, and financial mechanisms to support pilot projects and their scaling.
- To develop the potential and provide services for the industrial sector by offering data, consulting, training, assessment, verification, and certification services to aid entrepreneurs and supply chains in adapting appropriately.
- To establish collaborative networks connecting the government, private sector, academia, financial institutions, and international organizations to jointly develop knowledge and drive sustainable industrial practices.
Roles and Responsibilities of the Agency
The Water, Environment, and Climate Change Institute (WECCI) under the Federation of Thai Industries acts as a central mechanism connecting the government, the industrial sector, and communities regarding water and environmental management.
We aim to enhance the competitive capability of the Thai industrial sector while preserving the environment and providing concrete responses to climate change.
