ถ้าพูดถึง “Artificial Intelligence (AI)” หรือที่หลาย ๆ คนคุ้นหูกันว่า “ปัญญาประดิษฐ์” คงไม่มีใครไม่รู้จัก เพราะทุกวันนี้ มองไปทางไหน ก็เจอแต่ AI เต็มไปหมด
AI เขย่าทุกวงการจริง ๆ ?
คำตอบคือ ใช่ เพราะโลกมาถึงจุดเปลี่ยนและต้องรับมือให้ทัน
ความอัจฉริยะของเทคโนโลยี AI ที่ไม่เพียงเพื่อใช้ในสายการผลิตหรือในโรงงานเท่านั้น ปัจจุบันยังถูกนำมาใช้อย่างแพร่หลายในวงกว้างมากขึ้น ไม่ว่าจะเป็น การแพทย์และสุขภาพ การเกษตรและอาหาร ธุรกรรมการเงิน การสื่อสารโทรคมนาคม การบริการ การขนส่ง การเดินทาง การศึกษา การตลาดและโฆษณา บันเทิง ถ่ายภาพ เป็นต้น
เป็นที่ประจักษ์กันแล้วว่า เทคโนโลยี AI เป็นเครื่องมือที่ทำให้การใช้ชีวิตและการทำงานสะดวกสบายง่ายขึ้นกว่าเดิมอย่างแท้จริง อีกทั้งยังเป็นผู้ช่วยคนสำคัญในการยกระดับการทำงานที่เยี่ยมยอดในอีกหลาย ๆ ด้านด้วย เช่น การเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพการผลิต การลดต้นทุน ประหยัดเวลา การสร้างผลกำไรจากธุรกิจ การหาไอเดียต่าง ๆ ทั้งแบบง่ายและซับซ้อน การรักษาความปลอดภัยของข้อมูล เป็นต้น ซึ่งในปี 2566 นี้ อาจกล่าวได้ว่า AI เป็นดาวรุ่งที่เขย่าและท้าชนทุกวงการจริง ๆ

AI ตอบโจทย์โลกยุคใหม่ อะไรก็เป็นไปได้หมด
กระแสความสำคัญและปริมาณความนิยมของเทคโนโลยี AI มีมากขึ้นเรื่อย ๆ ซึ่งจุดน่าสนใจอยู่ตรงที่วิวัฒนาการความก้าวหน้าของเทคโนโลยี AI ที่ยังไม่ถึงขีดสุด เชื่อมั่นว่ายังต้องวิวัฒนาการกันต่อไป หากสังเกตรอบ ๆ ตัวเราจะพบว่า มีการดึงประโยชน์ของเทคโนโลยี AI มาใช้เพื่อตอบโจทย์โลกยุคใหม่ได้สารพัดสิ่ง
ขยายความจากข้างต้นคือ เทคโนโลยี AI สามารถสร้างภาพศิลปะและภาพวาดเหมือนจริง สร้างเสียงและพูดแทนคน สร้างและแก้ไขวิดีโอ ผลิตเนื้อหา (Content) ให้โดนใจลูกค้า ตอบคำถามภาษามนุษย์ (Chatbot) โต้ตอบอีเมล วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลเชิงลึก เป็นต้น มีตัวอย่างผลงานที่นำเทคโนโลยี AI ไปพัฒนาใช้แล้ว เช่น
– นักบินหุ่นยนต์ขับเครื่องบินของเกาหลีใต้
– Otter.ai เครื่องช่วยบันทึกและถอดเสียงการประชุม
– Bard แชตบอตที่พัฒนาโดย Google เพื่อแข่งกับ ChatGPT จาก OpenAI
– Claude แชตบอตรุ่นใหม่ที่พัฒนาโดยบริษัท Anthropic ที่อ้างว่าจะมาฆ่า ChatGPT
– Tengai หุ่นยนต์สัมภาษณ์งานตัวแรกของโลก
– ปลดล็อกหน้าจอโทรศัพท์ด้วย Face ID
– ตรวจจับและคัดกรองโรคมะเร็ง
– อากาศยานไร้คนขับ
– โดรนวัดความหวานไร่อ้อย
– หุ่นยนต์ AI อ่านข่าวเหมือนมนุษย์
– ลิ้นอิเล็กทรอนิกส์ที่สามารถเลียนแบบการรับรสของมนุษย์ได้
สำหรับตัวอย่างเทคโนโลยี AI ที่เตรียมจะเปลี่ยนแปลงโลกในอนาคตอันใกล้นี้ เช่น ถอดรหัสภาพจากการทำงานของสมองแบบเรียลไทม์ รถยนต์อัจฉริยะไร้คนขับ รถแทรกเตอร์ไร้คนขับ Grok แชตบอตใหม่ของ Elon Musk ที่เตรียมท้าชน ChatGPT เป็นต้น
จากตัวอย่างข้างต้น เป็นเพียงส่วนหนึ่งเท่านั้น ความอัจฉริยะของเทคโนโลยี AI ที่กำลังจะเปลี่ยนแปลงสิ่งต่าง ๆ จากที่เป็นไปไม่ได้ให้มีความเป็นไปได้ในอนาคตนั้นก็ยังมีอีก และจะเข้ามามีบทบาทสำคัญต่อผู้คนในแต่ละสาขาอาชีพ/วงการมากขึ้นด้วย ซึ่งจะเป็นอย่างไรนั้นคงต้องจับตาและอัปเดตข่าวสารกันต่อไป

พัฒนาบุคลากรด้าน AI ต้องพร้อมก่อนไทยจะเป็นฮับ AI
Oxford Insights ได้เปิดเผยข้อมูลดัชนีความพร้อมด้านปัญญาประดิษฐ์ของรัฐบาล ปี 2565 (Government AI Readiness Index 2022) พบว่า ประเทศไทยจัดอยู่อันดับที่ 31 จาก 181 ประเทศ (ไทยเป็นอันดับ 3 ของอาเซียน รองจากสิงคโปร์ อยู่อันดับที่ 2 และมาเลเซีย อยู่อันดับที่ 29) จากดัชนีฯ นี้สะท้อนให้เห็นว่า ประเทศไทยต้องก้าวให้ทันเทคโนโลยีและเตรียมความพร้อมให้มากขึ้น
อย่างไรก็ตาม การเพิ่มขีดความสามารถให้ทุกภาคส่วนในประเทศอย่างต่อเนื่อง เพื่อมุ่งสู่เป้าหมายแห่งอนาคต (New S-Curve) และรองรับการเติบโตของภาคธุรกิจอุตสาหกรรม จึงมีความสำคัญยิ่งยวด โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่ง การผลิตและพัฒนาบุคลากรด้าน AI ที่ต้องอัปสกิล (Upskill) และรีสกิล (Reskill) ตลอดจนการแก้ปัญหาและรับมือการขาดแคลนบุคลากรด้าน AI ที่คาดการณ์ว่าจะลากยาวไปถึงปี 2569

ความน่ากลัวที่แอบแฝง
ความก้าวหน้าและความเก่งกาจขึ้นของเทคโนโลยี AI เปรียบเสมือนเหรียญสองด้าน องค์กรและธุรกิจจะได้ประโยชน์อย่างมากมายมหาศาลเมื่อนำไปใช้ให้ถูกทางและเหมาะสม ในขณะที่อีกด้านนั้นอาจกลายเป็นภัยคุกคามต่อมนุษย์และสังคมได้เช่นกัน หากไม่มีการควบคุมและกำกับดูแลอย่างรอบคอบและรัดกุมก็อาจสายเกินไปที่จะแก้ได้

อย่างไรก็ตาม มีการคาดการณ์เทรนด์เทคโนโลยีที่จะเข้ามามีบทบาทสำคัญกับองค์กรและธุรกิจในช่วง 3 ปีข้างหน้า ซึ่งยังคงหนีไม่พ้นเรื่องของ AI ดังนั้น ทักษะด้าน AI จึงเป็นทักษะจำเป็นในโลกยุคดิจิทัล
โดยสรุปแล้วเทคโนโลยี AI ไม่ได้เกิดขึ้นมาเองหรือถูกเสกให้เกิดขึ้น แต่ทั้งหมดล้วนเกิดจากปัญญาของมนุษย์ที่ประดิษฐ์คิดค้นขึ้นมาจนมีความสามารถล้ำหน้าเกินกว่ามนุษย์ไปแล้ว แต่สุดท้ายแล้วการตัดสินใจต่างๆ ก็คือ “มนุษย์” อยู่นั่นเอง

When we mention “Artificial Intelligence (AI)” or what many are familiar with as “intelligent machines,” nobody is likely unaware of it because, today, AI is everywhere.
Does AI really shake every industry?
The answer is yes, because the world has reached a turning point and must keep pace with it.
The brilliance of AI technology is no longer confined to manufacturing or factories. It is now being widely used across various sectors including healthcare, agriculture and food, financial transactions, telecommunications, services, transportation, travel, education, marketing and advertising, entertainment, and photography, among others.
It is evident that AI technology is a tool that truly makes life and work easier, and it plays a significant role in enhancing excellent performance in many areas, such as increasing production efficiency, reducing costs, saving time, generating profits from business, finding ideas both simple and complex, and securing data, etc. Thus, in 2023, we can assert that AI is indeed a rising star that shakes and challenges every industry.

AI Answers the Demands of the New Era, Anything is Possible
The significance and popularity of AI technology continue to rise, with the interesting point being that the evolution and advancement of AI technology have not yet reached their peak. It is believed that further evolution is still necessary. If we observe our surroundings, we will find that AI technology is being leveraged to address numerous challenges in the new era.
This expansion includes AI technology's ability to create artistic images and realistic paintings, generate voices and speak on behalf of humans, create and edit videos, produce engaging content, respond to human language queries (Chatbots), interact via email, analyze data in depth, etc. Examples of innovations utilizing AI technology already in development include:
– A robotic pilot that drives airplanes in South Korea
– Otter.ai, a tool for recording and transcribing meetings
– Bard, a chatbot developed by Google to compete with ChatGPT from OpenAI
– Claude, a new chatbot developed by Anthropic that claims to rival ChatGPT
– Tengai, the world's first job interview robot
– Unlocking smartphones with Face ID
– Detecting and screening for cancer
– Unmanned aerial vehicles
– Drones for measuring sugar content in sugarcane fields
– AI robots that read news like humans
– Electronic tongues that can mimic human taste sensations
Looking ahead, examples of AI technology expected to change the world in the near future include real-time decoding of brain function, self-driving smart cars, autonomous tractors, and the new Grok chatbot by Elon Musk aimed at competing with ChatGPT, among others.
The above examples represent just a portion of the remarkable potential of AI technology that is poised to transform the impossible into possible futures, and it will increasingly play a significant role for individuals across various professions and industries. We must keep a close watch and stay updated on further developments.

Developing AI Personnel Must Be Ready Before Thailand Becomes an AI Hub
Oxford Insights has released data on the Government AI Readiness Index for 2022 (Government AI Readiness Index 2022), indicating that Thailand is ranked 31st out of 181 countries (Thailand is 3rd in ASEAN, following Singapore, which is 2nd, and Malaysia, which is 29th). This index reflects that Thailand must keep up with technology and prepare more thoroughly.
Moreover, continuously enhancing the capabilities of all sectors in the country to target future goals (New S-Curve) and supporting the growth of the industrial business sector is of utmost importance, particularly in producing and developing AI personnel who need to upskill and reskill, as well as addressing the anticipated shortage of AI personnel that is expected to last until 2026.

The Hidden Dangers
The advancement and versatility of AI technology can be likened to two sides of a coin. Organizations and businesses can gain immense benefits when used appropriately; conversely, it may also pose threats to humanity and society if not controlled and regulated carefully, which could make it too late to rectify.

However, technology trends forecasted to play a significant role in organizations and businesses in the next three years inevitably revolve around AI. Hence, AI skills are necessary skills in the digital age.
In summary, AI technology did not appear by coincidence or magical means; it is the result of human ingenuity, which has developed capabilities beyond that of humans. Ultimately, all decisions still rely on “humans.”
