เมื่อวันที่ 17 มิถุนายน 2567 นายอรุณ เอี่ยมสุรีย์ ประธานสถาบันเศรษฐกิจและการลงทุนไทย-จีน เป็นผู้แทนสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) เข้าร่วมการประชุมการจัดกิจกรรมครบรอบ 50 ปี การสถาปนาความสัมพันธ์ทางการทูตระหว่างราชอาณาจักรไทยและสาธารณรัฐประชาชนจีน โดยมีนางสาวบุษฎี สันติพิทักษ์ รองปลัดกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ เป็นประธานในการประชุม ณ ห้องวิเทศสโมสรส่วนที่ 2 กระทรวงการต่างประเทศ
ทั้งนี้ ที่ประชุมได้มีการเสนอความเห็น รวมทั้งรับฟังข้อเสนอแนะ และสอบถามแนวทางความร่วมมือด้านการจัดงานฉลองครบรอบความสัมพันธ์ทางการทูตฯ ระหว่างหน่วยงานภาครัฐและเอกชนของไทย ให้เป็นไปในแนวทางการดำเนินงานร่วมกัน เช่น การเดินทางเยือนระหว่างผู้นำรัฐบาลทั้งสองประเทศ รวมถึงการจัดกิจกรรมเชื่อมความสัมพันธ์ทั้งด้านเศรษฐกิจ วัฒนธรรมและการลงทุน
ทั้งนี้ นายอรุณ ได้กล่าวในที่ประชุมว่า ส.อ.ท ได้มีการจัดตั้งสถาบันเศรษฐกิจและการลงทุนไทย-จีน เพื่อดูแลและประสานงานกับหน่วยงานของไทยและจีน โดยเฉพาะด้านการลงทุนและอุตสาหกรรม และยินดีประสานงานและให้ความร่วมมือในการดำเนินกิจกรรมของทุกหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้องในครั้งนี้ด้วย
On June 17, 2024, Mr. Arun Iamsuree, Chairman of the Thai-Chinese Economic and Investment Institute, represented the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) at the meeting to organize the activities for the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Kingdom of Thailand and the People's Republic of China. The meeting was chaired by Ms. Busadee Santipitaks, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, held at the International Club Room 2, Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The meeting discussed various opinions, as well as listened to suggestions and inquiries on cooperative methods for organizing the celebration of the anniversary of diplomatic relations between Thai government and private sector agencies to proceed harmoniously, such as reciprocal visits between the leaders of both governments, along with activities to strengthen relations in the fields of economy, culture, and investment.
Moreover, Mr. Arun stated at the meeting that FTI has established the Thai-Chinese Economic and Investment Institute to facilitate and coordinate with agencies in Thailand and China, particularly in investment and industry, and is willing to coordinate and cooperate in organizing activities involving all relevant agencies on this occasion.
