วันที่ 16 กันยายน 2569 นางพิมพ์ใจ ลี้อิสสระนุกูล ประธานสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) พร้อมด้วย นายวิเชาวน์ รักพงษ์ไพโรจน์ ดร.นิลสุวรรณ ลีลารัศมี นายพิตติพัตน์ มั่นบุปผชาติ รองประธาน ส.อ.ท. และผู้แทนกลุ่มอุตสาหกรรมอาหารและเครื่องดื่ม ร่วมให้การต้อนรับ H.E. Mr. Pablo Kang เอกอัครราชทูตออสเตรเลียประจำประเทศไทย ในโอกาสเข้ารับตำแหน่งใหม่ โดยได้แลกเปลี่ยนมุมมองถึงโอกาสในการขยายความร่วมมือทางเศรษฐกิจ การค้า และการลงทุน โดยเฉพาะอุตสาหกรรมยานยนต์ที่ไทยมีบทบาทเป็นฐานการผลิตและผู้ส่งออกรถยนต์รายสำคัญไปยังออสเตรเลีย ณ ห้องมงคลสุธี ชั้น 8 ส.อ.ท.
ทั้งสองฝ่ายให้ความสำคัญกับการขยายโอกาสทางการค้าและการ รับรองมาตรฐานสินค้า เพื่ออำนวยความสะดวกแก่ผู้ประกอบการ ลดอุปสรรคทางการค้า และเพิ่มศักยภาพสินค้าไทยในการเข้าสู่ตลาดออสเตรเลีย รวมถึงการส่งเสริมความร่วมมือด้านมาตรฐานให้สอดคล้องกับแนวทางสากล ซึ่งจะช่วยสนับสนุนการค้าระหว่างสองประเทศให้เติบโตอย่างต่อเนื่อง
อีกหนึ่งประเด็นสำคัญ คือ Energy Transition และ Renewable Energy ซึ่งทั้งสองฝ่ายเห็นตรงกันว่ามีบทบาทมากขึ้นต่อภาคอุตสาหกรรมในอนาคต จึงให้ความสำคัญกับการแลกเปลี่ยนองค์ความรู้ เทคโนโลยี และแนวทางพัฒนาพลังงานสะอาด เพื่อช่วยภาคธุรกิจปรับตัว ลดต้นทุนพลังงาน และเดินหน้าสู่การลดการปล่อยคาร์บอน
พร้อมกันนี้ ส.อ.ท. ได้ชื่นชมบทบาทของออสเตรเลียในการสนับสนุนกระบวนการ Thailand’s Accession to the OECD ซึ่งเป็นความร่วมมือสำคัญในการช่วยให้ประเทศไทย ยกระดับมาตรฐานและแนวทางการดำเนินงานให้สอดคล้องกับมาตรฐานสากล รวมถึงเสริมสร้างความเชื่อมั่นและเพิ่มโอกาสด้านการค้าและการลงทุนในระยะต่อไป
การหารือครั้งนี้ เป็นอีกก้าวของความร่วมมือระหว่างภาคธุรกิจไทยและออสเตรเลีย โดยมุ่งต่อยอดประเด็นที่มีความสำคัญต่อผู้ประกอบการ ทั้งการค้า มาตรฐานสินค้า ยานยนต์ และพลังงานสะอาด เพื่อสร้างโอกาสทางธุรกิจและเพิ่มขีดความสามารถในการแข่งขันของอุตสาหกรรมไทย
On September 16, 2026, Ms. Pimjai Leeissaranukul, President of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), along with Mr. Vichawarn Rakpongpairoj, Dr. Nilsuwan Leelarasmi, and Mr. Pittiphat Muanbupphachai, Vice Presidents of FTI and representatives of the food and beverage industry, welcomed H.E. Mr. Pablo Kang, the Australian Ambassador to Thailand, on the occasion of his new appointment. They exchanged views on opportunities to expand economic, trade, and investment cooperation, particularly in the automotive industry, where Thailand plays a significant role as a production base and key exporter of vehicles to Australia, at the Mongkolsuthee Room, 8th Floor, FTI.
Both parties emphasized the importance of expanding trade opportunities and product certification standards to facilitate operators, reduce trade barriers, and enhance the competitiveness of Thai products in accessing the Australian market, including the promotion of standard cooperation aligned with international guidelines, which will support ongoing trade growth between the two countries.
Another important issue is Energy Transition and Renewable Energy, which both parties agreed would play an increasingly significant role in the industrial sector in the future. Therefore, they acknowledged the importance of knowledge exchange, technology, and strategies for developing clean energy to help businesses adapt, reduce energy costs, and move towards carbon emission reduction.
Moreover, FTI praised Australia's role in supporting the process of Thailand's Accession to the OECD, which is an essential collaboration in helping Thailand elevate its standards and operational practices to align with international standards, thereby enhancing confidence and increasing trade and investment opportunities in the future.
This discussion marks another step in the cooperation between Thai and Australian businesses, focusing on advancing issues important to operators, including trade, product standards, automotive, and clean energy, to create business opportunities and enhance the competitiveness of the Thai industry.
