The event was organized by the Creative Economy Agency (Public Organization) or CEA in collaboration with Netflix and officially certified as an Affiliated Program of the 2026 IMF-World Bank Group Annual Meetings, hosted by Thailand. The aim is to promote creativity as an economic asset by leveraging Creative IP to create commercial value while connecting entrepreneurs with partner networks and investment opportunities to expand Thai creative work to international markets.
The significance of this industry aligns with the direction of Thailand's economic development, as the World Bank Group has classified the creative industry as one of the five future industries of the country.
According to data from the World Bank Group, the Thai creative economy is valued at over 1.7 trillion baht, accounting for 10.8% of the country's total value added. The value of creative product exports increased from 3.2 billion USD in 2002 to 8.2 billion USD in 2024, reflecting the potential for transforming cultural capital and creative works into revenue-generating goods and services for the country.
On this occasion, Ms. Pimjai emphasized the importance of enhancing the creative industry through various media, utilizing cultural capital and intellectual property to create value, as well as attracting investments to increase business opportunities in the global market, stating that creativity is a crucial engine for economic growth.
The event included a keynote speech from a senior World Bank representative on the topic "Thailand’s New Horizons: The Creative Economy as a Growth Engine" and a Policy Forum discussing strategies for developing Creative IP into globally competitive assets, including policy design, incentive measures, and supportive mechanisms to enhance competitiveness.

Participation in this event is part of the effort to promote the Thai creative industry to connect effectively with the economy and business sectors, aiming for creativity and intellectual property not only to remain as works but to evolve into products, services, and business opportunities that generate income, enhance value for Thai entrepreneurs, and expand growth in international markets.
