เมื่อวันอังคารที่ 26 พฤษภาคม 2569 นายเจน นำชัยศิริ กรรมการสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) และประธานกลุ่มอุตสาหกรรมสิ่งทอ เข้าร่วมงานเลี้ยงรับรอง พร้อมมอบกระเช้าดอกไม้แสดงความยินดีกับ H.E. Mr. Elchin Bashirov เอกอัครราชทูตสาธารณรัฐอาเซอร์ไบจานประจำประเทศไทย เนื่องในโอกาสวันประกาศเอกราชสาธารณรัฐอาเซอร์ไบจาน โดยภายในงานได้รับเกียรติจาก นายวิชาวัฒน์ อิศรภักดี ผู้ช่วยรัฐมนตรีประจำกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ กล่าวแสดงความยินดี ณ โรงแรมแชงกรี-ลา กรุงเทพฯ
ประเทศไทยและสาธารณรัฐอาเซอร์ไบจานได้สถาปนาความสัมพันธ์ทางการทูตอย่างเป็นทางการตั้งแต่ปี 2535 และมีความร่วมมือระหว่างกันอย่างต่อเนื่องในหลายมิติ ทั้งด้านการเมือง เศรษฐกิจ การค้า การลงทุน สิ่งแวดล้อม และวัฒนธรรม โดยล่าสุด สาธารณรัฐอาเซอร์ไบจานได้เปิดสถานเอกอัครราชทูตประจำประเทศไทยอย่างเป็นทางการ พร้อมมีการลงนามบันทึกความเข้าใจด้านการหารือทางการเมืองระหว่างกระทรวงการต่างประเทศของทั้งสองประเทศ เพื่อส่งเสริมความร่วมมือทวิภาคีในอนาคต
นอกจากนี้ ทั้งสองประเทศยังให้ความสำคัญกับความร่วมมือด้านพลังงานสะอาดและเทคโนโลยีสีเขียว เพื่อสนับสนุนการพัฒนาอย่างยั่งยืน โดยสาธารณรัฐอาเซอร์ไบจานมีบทบาทสำคัญในเวทีด้านการเปลี่ยนแปลงสภาพภูมิอากาศโลก จากการเป็นเจ้าภาพการประชุม COP29 ในปี 2567
การเข้าร่วมงานครั้งนี้สะท้อนถึงความสัมพันธ์อันดีระหว่างประเทศไทยและสาธารณรัฐอาเซอร์ไบจาน ตลอดจนความมุ่งมั่นของ ส.อ.ท. ในการส่งเสริมความร่วมมือทางเศรษฐกิจและความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างภาคธุรกิจของทั้งสองประเทศอย่างต่อเนื่อง
On Tuesday, May 26, 2026, Mr. Jane Namchaichiri, a Board Member of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) and Chairman of the Textile Industry Group, attended a reception and presented a bouquet to congratulate H.E. Mr. Elchin Bashirov, Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Thailand, on the occasion of Azerbaijan's Independence Day. The event was honored by Mr. Vichawath Isarapakdee, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs, who expressed congratulations at the Shangri-La Hotel, Bangkok.
Thailand and the Republic of Azerbaijan established formal diplomatic relations in 1992 and have continuously collaborated in various dimensions, including politics, economics, trade, investment, environment, and culture. Most recently, the Republic of Azerbaijan officially opened its embassy in Thailand and signed a memorandum of understanding for political consultations between the foreign ministries of both countries to promote future bilateral cooperation.
Additionally, both countries emphasize cooperation in clean energy and green technology to support sustainable development, with the Republic of Azerbaijan playing a significant role in global climate change discussions as it will host COP29 in 2024.
This participation reflects the strong relationship between Thailand and the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as FTI's commitment to promoting economic cooperation and the relationship between the business sectors of both countries continuously.
