เมื่อวันที่ 31 กรกฎาคม 2569 นายสมมาต ขุนเศรษฐ รองประธานสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.)เข้าร่วมงาน ASEAN Conference 2026 ซึ่งจัดโดย Singapore Business Federation (SBF) ภายใต้หัวข้อ “ASEAN’s Future in a Fractured World” เพื่อแลกเปลี่ยนมุมมองด้านเศรษฐกิจ การค้า การลงทุน และความร่วมมือทางธุรกิจในภูมิภาคอาเซียน ท่ามกลางบริบทเศรษฐกิจโลกที่กำลังเปลี่ยนแปลงอย่างรวดเร็ว ณ ประเทศสิงคโปร์
ภายในงาน ผู้เข้าร่วมได้รับฟังการเสวนาจากผู้แทนภาครัฐและภาคเอกชนในประเด็นสำคัญ อาทิ แนวโน้มเศรษฐกิจและการลงทุนของอาเซียน กลยุทธ์การดำเนินธุรกิจท่ามกลางความท้าทายของเศรษฐกิจโลก การประยุกต์ใช้ปัญญาประดิษฐ์ (AI) เพื่อยกระดับศักยภาพภาคธุรกิจ และการสร้างความมั่นคงด้านพลังงานของภูมิภาค
ช่วงบ่าย ที่ประชุมจัดกิจกรรม Concurrent Market Breakout Sessions เพื่อเจาะลึกโอกาสทางเศรษฐกิจและการลงทุนของประเทศสมาชิกอาเซียน ได้แก่ อินโดนีเซีย มาเลเซีย ไทย และเวียดนาม โดยผู้แทนสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทยได้เข้าร่วมการประชุมในหัวข้อ “Thailand Market Breakout: Thailand’s Economic Push for Regional Competitiveness” ซึ่งมีการนำเสนอทิศทางการขับเคลื่อนเศรษฐกิจไทยผ่านการพัฒนาโครงสร้างพื้นฐาน การส่งเสริมอุตสาหกรรมเป้าหมาย เศรษฐกิจดิจิทัล และระบบโลจิสติกส์ เพื่อเสริมสร้างขีดความสามารถในการแข่งขันของประเทศไทยในเวทีภูมิภาค
On July 31, 2026, Mr. Sommat Khunseth, Vice Chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), participated in the ASEAN Conference 2026 organized by the Singapore Business Federation (SBF) under the theme "ASEAN’s Future in a Fractured World". The conference aimed to exchange perspectives on the economy, trade, investment, and business cooperation in the ASEAN region amidst the rapidly changing global economic landscape in Singapore.
During the event, participants attended discussions from representatives of both the public and private sectors on key issues such as the economic and investment trends in ASEAN, business strategies amidst the challenges of the global economy, the application of artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance business potential, and the creation of energy security in the region.
In the afternoon, the conference held Concurrent Market Breakout Sessions to delve deeper into economic and investment opportunities of ASEAN member countries, including Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam. Representatives from the Federation of Thai Industries participated in the session titled "Thailand Market Breakout: Thailand’s Economic Push for Regional Competitiveness," which presented the direction of Thailand's economic drive through infrastructure development, promotion of target industries, digital economy, and logistics systems to enhance Thailand's competitiveness in the regional arena.
