เมื่อวันที่ 7 กรกฎาคม 2569 นางพิมพ์ใจ ลี้อิสสระนุกูล ประธานสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) พร้อมด้วยนายปณิธาน ปวโรฬารวิทยา เลขาธิการ ส.อ.ท. เข้าร่วมพิธีเปิดการประชุมสภาที่ปรึกษาทางธุรกิจเอเปค ครั้งที่ 3/2026 (APEC Business Advisory Council: ABAC) ณ โรงแรม Avani+ Riverside Bangkok โดยได้รับเกียรติจากนายอนุทิน ชาญวีรกูล นายกรัฐมนตรี เป็นประธานและร่วมกล่าวในพิธีเปิดการประชุม
ในการนี้ นายเวทิต โชควัฒนา รองประธานอาวุโส ส.อ.ท. ในฐานะผู้แทนในสภาที่ปรึกษาทางธุรกิจเอเปค (ABAC Member) และนายมนตรี มหาพฤกษ์พงศ์ รองประธาน ส.อ.ท. ในฐานะผู้แทนสำรอง (Alternate Member) ได้เข้าร่วมการประชุมดังกล่าวด้วย
การประชุม ABAC เป็นเวทีความร่วมมือของผู้แทนภาคธุรกิจจาก 21 เขตเศรษฐกิจสมาชิกเอเปค เพื่อแลกเปลี่ยนมุมมองและจัดทำข้อเสนอแนะเชิงนโยบายจากภาคเอกชนเสนอต่อผู้นำเขตเศรษฐกิจเอเปค ในประเด็นสำคัญ อาทิ การค้าและการลงทุน การเชื่อมโยงห่วงโซ่อุปทาน การเปลี่ยนผ่านสู่เศรษฐกิจดิจิทัล และการพัฒนาอย่างยั่งยืน เพื่อส่งเสริมความร่วมมือและการเติบโตทางเศรษฐกิจของภูมิภาคเอเชีย-แปซิฟิกในระยะยาว
สำหรับปี 2569 การประชุม ABAC จัดขึ้นภายใต้การเป็นประธานของจีนในแนวคิด “Openness, Connectivity, Synergy” มุ่งส่งเสริมความร่วมมือด้านการค้าและการลงทุน การพัฒนาเศรษฐกิจดิจิทัลและปัญญาประดิษฐ์ (AI) การเสริมสร้างความเชื่อมโยงทางเศรษฐกิจ การเปลี่ยนผ่านสู่เศรษฐกิจสีเขียว ตลอดจนการขับเคลื่อนการเติบโตที่ครอบคลุมและยั่งยืนในภูมิภาคเอเชีย-แปซิฟิก
ประเด็นสำคัญที่ภาคธุรกิจให้ความสนใจในการประชุมครั้งนี้ ได้แก่ การยกระดับประสิทธิภาพทางการค้าและการลงทุนผ่านเทคโนโลยีดิจิทัล การลดอุปสรรคและต้นทุนทางการค้า การพัฒนาโครงสร้างพื้นฐานดิจิทัล การประยุกต์ใช้ AI เพื่อเพิ่มขีดความสามารถในการแข่งขันของภาคธุรกิจ ตลอดจนการเสริมสร้างความยืดหยุ่นทางเศรษฐกิจเพื่อรองรับความท้าทายและความไม่แน่นอนของเศรษฐกิจโลกในอนาคต
ทั้งนี้ การที่ประเทศไทยเป็นเจ้าภาพจัดการประชุม ABAC ครั้งที่ 3/2026 ถือเป็นโอกาสสำคัญในการตอกย้ำบทบาทของไทยในฐานะศูนย์กลางด้านการค้า การลงทุน และการเชื่อมโยงทางเศรษฐกิจของภูมิภาคอาเซียน พร้อมทั้งนำเสนอศักยภาพของประเทศในด้านเศรษฐกิจดิจิทัล การพัฒนาโครงสร้างพื้นฐาน การท่องเที่ยวคุณภาพ และอุตสาหกรรมแห่งอนาคตต่อผู้นำภาคธุรกิจจาก 21 เขตเศรษฐกิจสมาชิกเอเปค อันจะช่วยเสริมสร้างความเชื่อมั่นและเปิดโอกาสทางเศรษฐกิจให้แก่ประเทศไทยในระยะยาว
On July 7, 2026, Ms. Pimjai Leeissaranukul, President of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), along with Mr. Panithan Pawarolwattaya, Secretary-General of FTI, attended the opening ceremony of the APEC Business Advisory Council Meeting No. 3/2026 at Avani+ Riverside Bangkok. The ceremony was honored by Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, the Prime Minister, who presided over and gave remarks at the opening of the meeting.
In this regard, Mr. Vetit Chokvattana, Senior Vice President of FTI, as an APEC Business Advisory Council Member, and Mr. Montree Mahaprukpong, Vice President of FTI, as an Alternate Member, also participated in the meeting.
The ABAC meeting serves as a collaborative platform for representatives from the business sector of 21 APEC member economies to exchange views and formulate policy recommendations from the private sector to present to APEC economic leaders on key issues, such as trade and investment, supply chain connectivity, the transition to a digital economy, and sustainable development. The aim is to enhance cooperation and long-term economic growth in the Asia-Pacific region.
For the year 2026, the ABAC meeting is held under the theme “Openness, Connectivity, Synergy”, aiming to promote cooperation in trade and investment, the development of the digital economy and artificial intelligence (AI), enhance economic connectivity, transition to a green economy, as well as drive inclusive and sustainable growth in the Asia-Pacific region.
Key issues of interest to the business sector at this meeting include enhancing trade and investment efficiency through digital technology, reducing trade barriers and costs, developing digital infrastructure, applying AI to increase the competitive capabilities of businesses, as well as strengthening economic resilience to meet the challenges and uncertainties of the global economy in the future.
In addition, Thailand’s hosting of the ABAC meeting No. 3/2026 represents an important opportunity to reaffirm Thailand's role as a hub for trade, investment, and economic connectivity in the ASEAN region, while showcasing the country's potential in digital economy, infrastructure development, quality tourism, and future industries to business leaders from the 21 APEC member economies, thereby enhancing confidence and opening long-term economic opportunities for Thailand.
