เมื่อวันที่ 15 ตุลาคม 2567 นายเกรียงไกร เธียรนุกุล ประธานสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) ในฐานะประธานสภาธุรกิจความร่วมมือทางเศรษฐกิจในอนุภูมิภาคลุ่มแม่น้ำโขง (Greater Mekong Sub-region: GMS) ได้เข้าร่วมการประชุมคณะกรรมการร่วมภาคเอกชน 3 สถาบัน (กกร.) ในกรอบความร่วมมืออนุภูมิภาคลุ่มแม่น้ำโขง (GMS) วาระปี 2567-2569 ครั้งที่ 2/2567 โดยมอบหมายให้ นายเวทิต โชควัฒนา รองประธาน ส.อ.ท. เป็นผู้ดำเนินการประชุม ณ ส.อ.ท. และผ่านระบบออนไลน์
การประชุมครั้งนี้ ประธานฯ ที่ประชุมได้มีการติดตามความก้าวหน้าโครงการภายใต้แผนงาน GMS ของแต่ละสถาบัน และหารือแผนงานและข้อเสนอของสภาธุรกิจ GMS ประเทศไทย ที่จะขอรับการสนับสนุนจากสภาธุรกิจของประเทศสมาชิก GMS อาทิ การผลักดันโครงการ Cross-Border Digital Payment Connectivity การพัฒนาเครือข่ายนักธุรกิจรุ่นใหม่ในอนุภูมิภาค เป็นต้น อีกทั้งได้มีการหารือเพื่อเตรียมการเข้าร่วมการประชุมสุดยอดผู้นำแผนงาน ความร่วมมือเศรษฐกิจในอนุภูมิภาคลุ่มแม่น้ำโขง 6 ประเทศ ครั้งที่ 8 (8th GMS Summit of Leaders) ซึ่งจะจัดขึ้นที่เมืองคุนหมิง สาธารณรัฐประชาชนจีน ทั้งนี้ ที่ประชุมฯ ได้รับเกียรติจาก ดร.ธัชไท กีรติพงค์ไพบูลย์ ผู้อำนวยการกองยุทธศาสตร์และประสานความร่วมมือระหว่างประเทศ สำนักงานสภาพัฒนาการเศรษฐกิจและสังคมแห่งชาติ มาร่วมประชุมและให้ข้อมูลในเรื่องดังกล่าวด้วย
On October 15, 2024, Mr. Kriangkrai Ternnukool, Chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), in his capacity as Chairman of the Economic Cooperation Business Council in the Greater Mekong Sub-region (GMS), participated in the joint meeting of the three private sector organizations (JSCCIB) under the GMS cooperation framework for the years 2024-2026, 2nd meeting for 2024, with Mr. Wethit Chokwatthanakorn, Vice Chairman of FTI, assigned as the meeting facilitator at FTI and via online system.
During this meeting, the Chairman monitored the progress of projects under the GMS plan from each organization, and discussed the plans and proposals from the Thai GMS Business Council seeking support from the business councils of GMS member countries. This includes promoting the Cross-Border Digital Payment Connectivity project and developing a network of new generation entrepreneurs in the sub-region, among other topics. Additionally, there were discussions to prepare for participation in the 8th GMS Summit of Leaders, to be held in Kunming, People's Republic of China. The meeting was honored to have Dr. Thachathai Keerathipongpaiboon, Director of the International Strategy and Cooperation Office of the National Economic and Social Development Council, attend and provide information on these matters.
