วันที่ 26 มิถุนายน 2569 นางพิมพ์ใจ ลี้อิสสระนุกูล ประธานสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) พร้อมด้วย นายธีระพล ติรวศิน รองประธาน ส.อ.ท. นายสมบูรณ์ พิทยรังสฤษฎ์ รองประธาน ส.อ.ท. และนายสุพจน์ สุขพิศาล กรรมการบริหาร ส.อ.ท. ให้การต้อนรับคณะผู้บริหารจากบริษัท ดาว เคมิคอล ประเทศไทย จำกัด (DOW) นำโดยนายวิชาญ ตั้งเคียงศิริสิน ประธานบริหาร นายเอกสิทธิ์ ลัคนานิธิพันธุ์ รองกรรมการผู้จัดการใหญ่ฝ่ายธุรกิจร่วมทุน นางภรณี กองอมรภิญโญ รองกรรมการผู้จัดการใหญ่องค์กรสัมพันธ์ และนายชัชวาลย์ วัฒนะคีรี ผู้อำนวยการรัฐกิจสัมพันธ์ เนื่องในโอกาสเข้าพบเพื่อแสดงความยินดีในโอกาสเข้ารับตำแหน่งประธาน ส.อ.ท. วาระปี 2569–2571 ณ ส.อ.ท.
ในการหารือ DOW ได้นำเสนอแนวทางการส่งเสริมการค้าระหว่างประเทศ โดยให้ความสำคัญกับการผลักดันมาตรการที่ช่วยเพิ่มขีดความสามารถในการแข่งขันของอุตสาหกรรมปิโตรเคมีไทย อาทิ การผลักดันการลดอุปสรรคด้านภาษีนำเข้าสินค้าในตลาดสหรัฐอเมริกา และการใช้ประโยชน์จากความตกลงการค้าเสรีอาเซียน–เกาหลี (ASEAN–Korea Free Trade Agreement: AKFTA) เพื่อสนับสนุนการส่งออกสินค้าไทย
นอกจากนี้ การปรับปรุงการจำแนกประเภทสินค้าให้สอดคล้องกับคุณสมบัติของผลิตภัณฑ์ จะช่วยให้ผู้ประกอบการสามารถใช้สิทธิประโยชน์ทางภาษีได้อย่างเหมาะสม และเพิ่มศักยภาพในการแข่งขันในตลาดต่างประเทศ
นางพิมพ์ใจ เห็นว่า แนวทางดังกล่าวสอดคล้องกับนโยบาย I5 ของ ส.อ.ท. โดยเฉพาะด้าน I3: International Alliance & Network ที่มุ่งขยายความร่วมมือกับพันธมิตรระดับนานาชาติ เพื่อส่งเสริมการค้าและการลงทุน รวมถึงผลักดันให้อุตสาหกรรมไทยก้าวสู่การเป็นศูนย์กลางห่วงโซ่อุปทานของโลก (Global Supply Chain Hub) และ I4: Industrial Infrastructure Reform การปรับโครงสร้างพื้นฐานอุตสาหกรรมเพื่อการแข่งขัน ผ่านการพัฒนาโครงสร้างพื้นฐานด้านโลจิสติกส์ ด้วยการยกระดับระบบขนส่งและสาธารณูปโภค ตลอดจนการปรับปรุงกฎระเบียบที่เกี่ยวข้อง เพื่อเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพการค้าและเสริมสร้างขีดความสามารถในการแข่งขันของภาคอุตสาหกรรมไทยในตลาดโลก
ทั้งนี้ ส.อ.ท. พร้อมสนับสนุนความร่วมมือกับทุกภาคส่วน เพื่อผลักดันการเติบโตของอุตสาหกรรมปิโตรเคมีไทยให้มีความเข้มแข็ง สามารถแข่งขันได้ในระดับสากล และเติบโตอย่างยั่งยืน
On June 26, 2026, Mrs. Pimjai Leeissaranukul, Chairperson of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), along with Mr. Teerapol Tirawasin, Vice Chairman of the FTI, Mr. Somboon Pityarangsrit, Vice Chairman of the FTI, and Mr. Supach Sukpissana, Executive Board Member of the FTI, welcomed a delegation from Dow Chemical Thailand Co., Ltd. (DOW), led by Mr. Wicharn Tangkiangsirisin, Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Eaksirith Lakananithipan, Executive Vice President for Joint Venture Business, Mrs. Poranee Kongamornpiyaboon, Executive Vice President for Corporate Affairs, and Mr. Chatchawan WatthanaKiri, Director of Government Relations, on the occasion of congratulating the new FTI Chairperson for the term 2026–2028 at FTI.
During the discussion, DOW presented approaches to promote international trade, emphasizing measures that would enhance the competitiveness of the Thai petrochemical industry, such as advocating for the reduction of import tariff barriers in the United States market and utilizing the ASEAN-Korea Free Trade Agreement (AKFTA) to support the export of Thai products.
Furthermore, improving product classification to align with product characteristics will enable entrepreneurs to appropriately utilize tax benefits and enhance competitiveness in international markets.
Mrs. Pimjai noted that such approaches align with the FTI's I5 policy, particularly I3: International Alliance & Network, which aims to expand cooperation with international partners to promote trade and investment and to push the Thai industry towards becoming a Global Supply Chain Hub. Additionally, I4: Industrial Infrastructure Reform addresses restructuring industrial infrastructure for competitiveness through the development of logistics infrastructure by upgrading transportation systems and public utilities, as well as improving related regulations to enhance trade efficiency and strengthen the competitiveness of the Thai industrial sector in the global market.
FTI is ready to support cooperation with all sectors to promote the robust growth of the Thai petrochemical industry, ensuring its competitiveness on an international scale and sustainable growth.
