ระหว่างวันที่ 23-25 กันยายน 2567 นายอรุณ เอี่ยมสุรีย์ ประธานสถาบันเศรษฐกิจและการลงทุนไทย-จีน สภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) เดินทางเข้าร่วมประชุม The 21st China-ASEAN Business and Investment Summit (CABIS) ซึ่งเป็นเวทีในการเสริมสร้างความร่วมมือระหว่างกลุ่มประเทศอาเซียนและจีน เพื่อแลกเปลี่ยนข้อมูลด้านเศรษฐกิจ การค้า การลงทุน และโอกาสทางธุรกิจสำหรับอาเซียนและจีน ณ เมืองหนานหนิง สาธารณรัฐประชาชนจีน
การประชุมครั้งนี้ มีผู้เข้าร่วมจากประเทศจีนและอาเซียนกว่า 200 ท่าน ประกอบด้วยผู้นำจากภาครัฐ ภาคเอกชน ตัวแทนผู้ประกอบการ ผู้เชี่ยวชาญที่เกี่ยวข้อง โดยมุ่งหารือเกี่ยวกับการสร้างความร่วมมือด้านนวัตกรรม อุตสาหกรรมสีเขียว และการบริหารธุรกิจอย่างยั่งยืนระหว่างประเทศจีนและประเทศภูมิภาคอาเซียนในอนาคต
ทั้งนี้ นายอรุณ ได้กล่าวว่าปัจจุบันนักลงทุนจีนที่ลงทุนโดยตรงจากต่างประเทศ หรือที่เรียกว่า Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) ถือเป็นอันดับต้นๆ ของประเทศอาเซียนและเป็นนักลงทุนอันดับ 1 ของประเทศไทย โดยมีมูลค่าการลงทุนอยู่ประมาณ 24% ของมูลค่าการลงทุนรวมต่างชาติในไทย
ซึ่งทุกๆ ประเทศในอาเซียน ได้มีการเชิญชวนให้นักลงทุนจีนเข้าไปลงทุนในประเทศของตน เพื่อเสริมสร้างเศรษฐกิจและความยั่งยืนร่วมกัน
นอกจากนี้ นายอรุณ ยังได้นำเสนอเรื่องการสนับสนุนการใช้ซัพพลายเชน (Supply chain) ในประเทศไทย รวมถึงโมเดลการร่วมทุนกับนักธุรกิจไทย ในการก่อตั้งฐานผลิตในประเทศ ซึ่งจะเป็นประโยชน์มากกว่าการลงทุน 100% โดยนักธุรกิจจีน
From September 23-25, 2024, Mr. Arun Iamsuri, Chairman of the Thai-Chinese Economic and Investment Institute of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), attended the 21st China-ASEAN Business and Investment Summit (CABIS), which served as a platform to enhance cooperation between ASEAN countries and China, facilitating exchanges of information on economics, trade, investment, and business opportunities for ASEAN and China in Nanning, People's Republic of China.
This summit saw participation from over 200 attendees from China and ASEAN, including leaders from government and the private sector, business representatives, and relevant experts, focusing on discussions about fostering cooperation in innovation, green industry, and sustainable business management between China and ASEAN countries in the future.
Mr. Arun stated that currently, Chinese investors involved in Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) are among the top in ASEAN countries and are the number one investors in Thailand, accounting for approximately 24% of the total foreign investment value in Thailand. All ASEAN countries have invited Chinese investors to invest in their nations to jointly enhance economic development and sustainability.
Furthermore, Mr. Arun presented on the support for utilizing the supply chain in Thailand, including models for joint ventures with Thai entrepreneurs to establish production bases in the country, which would be more beneficial than a 100% investment by Chinese businessmen.
