เมื่อวันที่ 23 มิถุนายน 2569 นางพิมพ์ใจ ลี้อิสสระนุกูล ประธานสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) พร้อมด้วย นายณรงค์ฤทธิ์ พานิชชีวะ รองประธาน ส.อ.ท. และประธานสายงานสมาชิกสัมพันธ์ และ นายสมมาต ขุนเศษฐ รองประธาน ส.อ.ท. และประจำสำนักประธาน เข้าร่วมงานแถลงข่าวและเป็นสักขีพยานในพิธีลงนามบันทึกความร่วมมือด้านการส่งเสริมและสนับสนุนการพัฒนา เขตพัฒนาพิเศษภาคตะวันออกด้วยอุตสาหกรรมไมซ์ ณ ห้องประชุม Conference 1–2 ชั้น 25 สำนักงานคณะกรรมการนโยบายเขตพัฒนาพิเศษภาคตะวันออก (EEC) อาคารโทรคมนาคม เขตบางรัก กรุงเทพมหานคร
ความร่วมมือครั้งสำคัญนี้ เป็นการบูรณาการยุทธศาสตร์ระหว่าง สำนักงานส่งเสริมการจัดประชุมและนิทรรศการ (องค์การมหาชน) หรือ สสปน. (TCEB) และสำนักงานคณะกรรมการนโยบายเขตพัฒนาพิเศษภาคตะวันออก หรือ สกพอ. (EEC) เพื่อร่วมกันใช้อุตสาหกรรมไมซ์ (MICE) เป็นกลไกสำคัญในการดึงดูดการลงทุนและเม็ดเงินจากทั้งในและต่างประเทศเข้าสู่พื้นที่เขตพัฒนาพิเศษภาคตะวันออก
โอกาสนี้ ดร.จุฬา สุขมานพ เลขาธิการ EEC ได้แสดงวิสัยทัศน์ในหัวข้อ "EEC พร้อมเปิดประตูรับการลงทุน และธุรกิจผ่านอุตสาหกรรมไมซ์ยกระดับสิทธิประโยชน์ และศักยภาพชุมชนสู่สากลอย่างยั่งยืน" โดยระบุว่า พื้นที่ EEC มีความพร้อมในการรองรับการลงทุนจากทั่วโลก ผ่านการส่งเสริมสิทธิประโยชน์ควบคู่กับการเชื่อมโยงผลประโยชน์จากการจัดประชุมและนิทรรศการสู่การพัฒนาชุมชนอย่างเป็นรูปธรรม
ด้าน ดร.ศุภวรรณ ตีระรัตน์ ผู้อำนวยการ สสปน. ได้แถลงแผนยุทธศาสตร์ในหัวข้อ "การสร้างโอกาสผ่านอุตสาหกรรมไมซ์ ขับเคลื่อน EEC สู่จุดหมายปลายทางธุรกิจและการลงทุนระดับโลก ยกระดับเมืองและชุมชนอย่างยั่งยืน" โดยมุ่งผลักดันพื้นที่ EEC ให้เป็นศูนย์กลางการจัดงานไมซ์ระดับนานาชาติ เพื่อสร้างโอกาสทางธุรกิจและการลงทุนใหม่ ๆ ให้แก่ผู้ประกอบการไทย
การเข้าร่วมเป็นสักขีพยานในพิธีลงนามความร่วมมือครั้งนี้ ส.อ.ท. ในฐานะผู้แทนภาคอุตสาหกรรมไทย สะท้อนถึงความพร้อมในการบูรณาการความร่วมมือกับภาครัฐ เพื่อขับเคลื่อนเศรษฐกิจของประเทศเปิดประตูรับการลงทุนจากทั่วโลก และส่งเสริมการพัฒนาเศรษฐกิจไทยให้เติบโตอย่างยั่งยืน
On June 23, 2026, Mrs. Pimjai Leeissaranukul, Chairperson of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), along with Mr. Narongrit Panitchiva, Vice Chairman of FTI and Chairman of the Member Relations Group, and Mr. Sommat Khunseth, Vice Chairman of FTI and Executive Assistant to the Chairman, participated in a press conference and witnessed the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) aimed at promoting and supporting the development of the Eastern Special Development Zone through the MICE industry at Conference Room 1–2, Floor 25, Office of the Eastern Economic Corridor Policy Committee (EEC), Telecommunications Building, Bangrak District, Bangkok.
This significant cooperation integrates strategies between the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) and the Eastern Economic Corridor Policy Committee (EEC) to jointly utilize the MICE industry as a key mechanism to attract investments and funds from both domestic and international sources into the Eastern Special Development Zone.
On this occasion, Dr. Chula Sukmanop, Secretary-General of EEC, presented a vision titled "EEC Ready to Open Doors for Investment and Business through MICE, Enhancing Benefits and Community Potential Sustainably to Global Standards," stating that the EEC area is prepared to accommodate investments from around the world while promoting benefits alongside the tangible development of communities through meetings and exhibitions.
Meanwhile, Dr. Suphawan Teerarut, Director of TCEB, announced the strategic plan titled "Creating Opportunities through the MICE Industry to Drive the EEC as a Global Business and Investment Destination, Elevating Cities and Communities Sustainably," aiming to promote the EEC area as a hub for international MICE events to create new business and investment opportunities for Thai entrepreneurs.
The participation as a witness to this signing ceremony reflects FTI's readiness, as a representative of the Thai industry, to integrate cooperation with the government to drive the country's economy, welcoming investments from around the world and promoting sustainable economic development in Thailand.
