วันที่ 29 เมษายน 2567 นายเกรียงไกร เธียรนุกุล ประธานสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) ได้รับคำเชิญจากนายเศรษฐา ทวีสิน นายกรัฐมนตรี เข้าร่วมงานเลี้ยงพระกระยาหารกลางวัน เพื่อเป็นเกียรติแด่สมเด็จพระราชาธิบดีฮาจี ฮัซซานัล บลเกียะฮ์ แห่งบรูไนดารุสซาลาม ในโอกาสเสด็จฯ เยือนประเทศไทยอย่างเป็นทางการ ตามคำกราบบังคมทูลเชิญในฐานะแขกของรัฐบาล (Official Visit) ณ ตึกสันติไมตรี (หลังนอก) ทำเนียบรัฐบาล
การเสด็จพระราชดำเนินเยือนอย่างเป็นทางการในครั้งนี้ เป็นการเสด็จพระราชดำเนินเยือนในรอบ 12 ปี โดยในปี 2567 นี้ เป็นปีแห่งการเฉลิมฉลองครบรอบ 40 ปี ของการสถาปนาความสัมพันธ์ทางการทูตระหว่างทั้งสองประเทศ และเป็นโอกาสในการขยายความร่วมมือในด้านต่างๆ ทั้งด้านการค้า การลงทุน อุตสาหกรรมฮาลาล การท่องเที่ยว เศรษฐกิจดิจิทัล
พร้อมกันนี้ สมเด็จพระราชาธิบดีฯ และนายกรัฐมนตรีของไทย ได้ร่วมเป็นสักขีพยานในพิธีลงนามความตกลง ณ ตึกสันติไมตรี (หลังใน) ทำเนียบรัฐบาล จำนวน 2 ฉบับ ได้แก่ 1) บันทึกความเข้าใจระหว่างสำนักงานการลงทุนบรูไนฯ และกองทุนบำเหน็จบำนาญข้าราชการของไทย (Memorandum of Understanding between Brunei Investment Agency and Thailand’s Government Pension Fund) และ 2) บันทึกความเข้าใจว่าด้วยความร่วมมือด้านการท่องเที่ยวระหว่างกระทรวงการท่องเที่ยวและกีฬา และกระทรวงทรัพยากรพื้นฐานและการท่องเที่ยวแห่งบรูไนฯ (Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of the Kingdom of Thailand and the Government of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam on Tourism Cooperation)
On April 29, 2024, Mr. Kriangkrai Thiennukul, Chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), received an invitation from Prime Minister Mr. Srettha Thavisin to attend a luncheon in honor of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei Darussalam during his official visit to Thailand as a guest of the government (Official Visit) at the Santimaitri Building (Outer Section), Government House.
This official visit marks His Majesty's first visit in 12 years. In 2024, we celebrate the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries, providing an opportunity to expand cooperation in various fields, including trade, investment, halal industry, tourism, and digital economy.
Additionally, His Majesty the Sultan and the Prime Minister of Thailand witnessed the signing of two agreements at the Santimaitri Building (Inner Section), Government House. The agreements are: 1) Memorandum of Understanding between Brunei Investment Agency and Thailand’s Government Pension Fund, and 2) Memorandum of Understanding on Tourism Cooperation between the Government of the Kingdom of Thailand and the Government of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam.
