ส.อ.ท. ประชุมคณะอนุกรรมการจัดทำยุทธศาสตร์ซอฟต์พาวเวอร์ของประเทศFTI Holds Meeting of the Subcommittee for National Soft Power Strategy Development

On Thursday, April 4, 2024, Mr. Kriangkrai Thiennukul, Chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), assigned Ms. Pimjai Leeissaranukul, FTI Vice Chairman, to represent the organization in the first meeting of the Subcommittee for Developing the National Soft Power Strategy of 2024, chaired by Mr. Surapong Suebwonglee, at the Multi-Purpose Learning Center, TK Park, 8th floor, CentralWorld shopping center.

During the meeting, several key points were discussed as follows:
1) Acknowledgment of the appointment of the National Soft Power Development Committee No. 15/2024 regarding the establishment of the subcommittee for developing the national soft power strategy plan dated March 29, 2024.
2) Consideration of the guidelines for developing the national soft power strategy plan and the operational plan necessary for creating the strategy plan to
• Establish a clear direction and objectives for driving policy forward.
• Serve as a framework for project and plan development by various agencies within an integrated budget to propel soft power policies and enhance inter-agency integration, reducing redundancy and ensuring efficient budget spending.
• Act as a central hub to connect various industrial sectors towards a common direction and objectives.
• Ensure clear and unified communication of policies.
• Stimulate awareness across different sectors within the country to foster collective momentum.

Ms. Pimjai stated at the meeting that the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) consists of 46 industrial groups and has 76 provincial industrial councils, which include over 15,000 members nationwide. FTI is ready and willing to fully assist in driving the national soft power strategy plan, while emphasizing the importance of standards, whether for products or other services, to ensure safety and continuous development.

Moreover, the meeting approved the Secretariat, led by the Office of National Reform, National Strategy, and National Reconciliation (Office of the National Reform Committee), to expedite the drafting of the strategic plan for subsequent presentation to the subcommittee for further consideration.
