เมื่อวันเสาร์ที่ 24 กุมภาพันธ์ 2567 ทพ.สุพจน์ หวังปรีดาเลิศกุล ประธานสภาอุตสาหกรรมภาคเหนือ นำคณะกรรมการและสมาชิกสภาอุตสาหกรรมภาคเหนือ เยี่ยมชม “บริษัท เกษตรไทย อินเตอร์เนชั่นแนล ชูการ์ คอร์ปอเรชั่น จำกัด (มหาชน)” หรือ กลุ่ม KTIS ซึ่งกลุ่ม KTIS ดำเนินธุรกิจน้ำตาลทราย และอุตสาหกรรมต่อเนื่องครบวงจรที่เกี่ยวกับผลพลอยได้จากการผลิตน้ำตาลทราย เป็นผลิตภัณฑ์ไบโอ ได้แก่ โรงงานผลิตเอทานอล โรงงานผลิตเยื่อกระดาษฟอกขาวจากชานอ้อย โรงไฟฟ้าชีวมวล และโรงงานผลิตวัสดุปรับปรุงดินชีวภาพ ซึ่งเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของโครงการ “นครสวรรค์ไบโอคอมเพล็กซ์” ไบโอคอมเพล็กซ์แห่งแรกของประเทศไทย ณ ตำบลหนองโพ อำเภอตาคลี จังหวัดนครสวรรค์
ทพ.สุพจน์ ประธานเจ้าหน้าที่ปฏิบัติการ KTIS 3 และดร.ดารัตน์ ศิริวิริยะกุล วิภาตะกลัศ รองประธานเจ้าหน้าที่บริหารกลุ่ม KTIS พร้อมทีมวิศวกรโรงงาน ได้แนะนำให้ข้อมูลผลิตภัณฑ์และบริการ ซึ่งบริษัทฯ มีกำลังการผลิตน้ำตาลทรายรวมทั้งสิ้นประมาณ 88,000 ตันอ้อยต่อวัน สามารถจำแนกได้เป็น 3 ประเภท ได้แก่ น้ำตาลทรายดิบ (Raw Sugar) น้ำตาลทรายขาว (White Sugar) และน้ำตาลทรายขาวบริสุทธิ์ (Refined Sugar) และผลิตภัณฑ์ที่มาจากผลพลอยได้จากการผลิตน้ำตาลทราย มีดังนี้ ผลิตภัณฑ์โมลาสหรือกากน้ำตาล เกิดจากกระบวนการเคี่ยวน้ำตาล มีลักษณะเป็นของเหลวสีดำ เหนียวข้น และมีความหวาน สามารถนำไปใช้เป็นวัตถุดิบในผลิตภัณฑ์ต่างๆ เช่น ผลิตภัณฑ์อาหาร รวมถึงนำไปผลิตเป็นเอทานอล
ทั้งนี้ กลุ่ม KTIS ได้นำผลิตภัณฑ์โมลาสบางส่วนมาใช้เป็นวัตถุดิบในการผลิตเอทานอลของโรงงานในกลุ่ม และบริษัทฯ ดำเนินธุรกิจผลิตและจัดจำหน่ายเยื่อกระดาษฟอกขาวจากชานอ้อย ผ่าน EPPCO ซึ่งมีกำลังการผลิตทั้งสิ้นประมาณ 100,000 ตันต่อปี โรงงาน EPPCO เป็นโรงงานผลิตเยื่อกระดาษฟอกขาวจากชานอ้อยแห่งเดียวในประเทศไทยที่ใช้วัตถุดิบหลักคือ ชานอ้อย ซึ่งเป็นวัสดุเหลือใช้จากกระบวนการผลิตน้ำตาลทรายของบริษัทฯ ปัจจุบันกลุ่ม KTIS มีการนำอินทรียสารที่ได้จากการผลิตต่างๆ ให้เกษตรกรชาวไร่อ้อยไปใช้เป็นสารปรับปรุงคุณภาพดิน เช่น ตะกอนหม้อกรองที่ได้จากการผลิตน้ำตาล ตะกอน sludge จากการผลิตเยื่อกระดาษ น้ำวีนาส จากการผลิตเอทานอลและขี้เถ้าจากเตาผลิตไฟฟ้า
บริษัทฯ มีหน่วยผลิตไฟฟ้าและไอน้ำในโรงงานน้ำตาลทรายและโรงงานเยื่อกระดาษฟอกขาวจากชานอ้อย โดยใช้ชานอ้อยซึ่งเป็นกากของเสียจากกระบวนการผลิตน้ำตาลมาเป็นวัตถุดิบหลัก นำไอน้ำและไฟฟ้าที่ผลิตได้ไปใช้ในกระบวนการผลิตน้ำตาลทรายของบริษัทฯ ทั้ง 3 โรงงาน และในกระบวนการผลิตของโรงงานอื่นในกลุ่มบริษัทฯ และจำหน่ายไฟฟ้าส่วนที่เหลือให้แก่การไฟฟ้าฝ่ายผลิตแห่งประเทศไทย หรือการไฟฟ้าส่วนภูมิภาคตามสัญญาซื้อขายไฟฟ้า และในปัจจุบันส่วนของโรงงานน้ำตาลที่ขายไฟในรูปแบบของ Adder บริษัทฯ ได้เปลี่ยนมาเป็นการขายไฟในรูปแบบ Feed-in tariff ซึ่งทำให้ได้ราคาจากการขายไฟที่สูงขึ้น บริษัทฯ ได้จัดตั้งบริษัท เกษตรไทยไบโอเพาเวอร์ จำกัด หรือ “KTBP” ซึ่ง ปัจจุบันได้ดำเนินการผลิตและจำหน่ายไฟฟ้าในระบบโรงไฟฟ้าชีวมวล ขนาดกำลังผลิตทั้งสิ้น 60 เมกะวัตต์
“นครสวรรค์ไบโอคอมเพล็กซ์” เกิดขึ้นเมื่อ 2 บริษัท มหาชน บริษัท โกลบอลกรีนเคมิคอล จำกัด (มหาชน) หรือ GGC บริษัทชั้นนำในธุรกิจผลิตภัณฑ์เคมีเพื่อสิ่งแวดล้อม Green Flagship Company ของ GC Group และ บริษัท เกษตรไทย อินเตอร์เนชั่นแนล ชูการ์ คอร์ปอเรชั่น จำกัด (มหาชน) หรือ กลุ่ม KTIS ผู้นำในอุตสาหกรรมน้ำตาลทรายและอุตสาหกรรมต่อเนื่องครบวงจร ได้ผนึกกำลังสร้าง “นครสวรรค์ไบโอคอมเพล็กซ์ (NBC)” ภายใต้บริษัท จีจีซี เคทิส ไบโออินดัสเทรียล จำกัด หรือ GKBI สร้างบนเนื้อที่ขนาดใหญ่กว่า 2,000 ไร่ ที่อำเภอตาคลี จังหวัดนครสวรรค์ ซึ่งเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของโครงการนำร่องตามนโยบายมาตรการพัฒนาอุตสาหกรรมชีวภาพของไทย ที่ภาครัฐได้กำหนดเป้าหมายให้ประเทศไทยเป็นไบโอฮับ (Bio Hub) ของอาเซียนภายในปี 2570 และเป็นโครงการ Bio Hub แห่งแรกของประเทศไทยด้วย โดยมีแผนดำเนินการเป็นผู้ผลิตด้านเชื้อเพลิงชีวภาพ ชีวเคมี และพลาสติกชีวภาพ และมีเป้าหมายสู่ธุรกิจพลังงานธรรมชาติที่สะอาดและรักษ์สิ่งแวดล้อม อันเป็นประโยชน์กับเศรษฐกิจโดยรวมของประเทศ อีกทั้งช่วยให้เกษตรกรมีรายได้สูงขึ้น คุณภาพชีวิตที่ดีขึ้น ซึ่งไม่ใช่แค่ความภาคภูมิใจของคนในจังหวัดนครสวรรค์ แต่ยังเป็นความภาคภูมิใจของคนไทยทั้งประเทศ
On Saturday, February 24, 2024, Dr. Supachai Wongpreeda Lerkul, Chairman of the Northern Federation of Thai Industries, led the committee and members of the Northern FTI to visit the “Kaset Thai International Sugar Corporation Public Company Limited” or KTIS Group. This group operates a comprehensive sugar business and related industries utilizing by-products from sugar production as bio-products, including an ethanol production plant, a bleaching pulp mill from bagasse, a biomass power plant, and a biocompost manufacturing facility. These are part of the “Nakhonsawan Bio-complex,” Thailand's first bio-complex located in Nong Po Subdistrict, Takli District, Nakhon Sawan Province.
Dr. Supachai, Chief Operating Officer of KTIS 3, and Dr. Darat Sinlaratkul, Vice President of KTIS Group, along with the factory engineering team, provided information about the products and services. The company has a total sugarcane processing capacity of approximately 88,000 tons per day, which can be classified into three types: Raw Sugar, White Sugar, and Refined Sugar. The by-products from sugar production include molasses, which is a thick, black liquid produced during the sugar boiling process. It is sweet and can be used as an ingredient in various products, including food products and for the production of ethanol.
KTIS Group utilizes some of the molasses as raw material for ethanol production within the group and produces and distributes bleaching pulp from bagasse through EPPCO, with a total capacity of approximately 100,000 tons per year. EPPCO is the only pulp mill in Thailand that uses bagasse as the main raw material, which is a by-product of the sugar production process. Currently, KTIS Group provides organic materials from various productions to sugarcane farmers for use as soil conditioners, such as filter cake from sugar production, sludge from pulp production, vinasse from ethanol production, and ash from electric power generation.
The company has electricity and steam production units in its sugar and bleaching pulp mills, using bagasse, which is a waste by-product from sugar production, as the main raw material. The steam and electricity generated are utilized in the sugar production processes of all three factories and other production processes within the group and sell the surplus electricity to the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand or Provincial Electricity Authority under power purchase agreements. Currently, the aspect of sugar mills selling electricity in the form of Adder has been converted to selling electricity in the form of Feed-in Tariff, which has resulted in increased selling prices. The company has established Kaset Thai Bio Power Company Limited or “KTBP,” which currently operates power generation and distribution in the biomass power plant with a total production capacity of 60 megawatts.
The “Nakhonsawan Bio-complex” was created when two public companies, Global Green Chemical Public Company Limited (GGC), a leading company in the green chemicals industry under GC Group, and Kaset Thai International Sugar Corporation Public Company Limited or KTIS Group, a leader in the sugar industry with comprehensive related industries, joined forces to build the “Nakhonsawan Bio-complex (NBC)” under the company GGC KTIS Bioindustrial Company Limited or GKBI. This complex is built on over 2,000 rai of land in Takli District, Nakhon Sawan Province, as part of a pilot project under the Thai bioindustry development policy, which aims for Thailand to become a Bio Hub of ASEAN by 2027 and is also the first Bio Hub project in Thailand. The plan is to produce biofuels, biochemicals, and bioplastics, targeting a shift toward clean and environmentally friendly energy, benefiting the overall economy of the country while helping farmers achieve higher incomes and better quality of life. This project is not only a pride for the people of Nakhon Sawan Province but also for all Thai people.
