On January 27, 2024, the Furniture Industry Group held a meeting and officially assumed the position of Chairman of the ASEAN Furniture Industries Council (AFIC) for the year 2024-2025, with Mr. Kriangkrai Thiennukul, Chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), graciously expressing his congratulations. Mr. Thanatat Chawaldit, Chairman of the Furniture Group, welcomed attendees at the Grand Fortune Hotel in Bangkok.

In addition, Mr. Mark Yong, Chairman of the ASEAN Furniture Industries Council for the year 2022-2023, delivered a report to hand over the position to Mr. Thanakorn Kasetsuwan, Vice Chairman of the Furniture Group, to serve as Chairman of AFIC for the year 2024-2025.

The ASEAN Furniture Industries Council (AFIC) consists of 8 member countries: Malaysia, the Philippines, Myanmar, Lao PDR, Vietnam, Singapore, Indonesia, and Thailand. AFIC aims to enhance the potential of the furniture industry in ASEAN and to create networks that strengthen relationships among furniture industry operators in the ASEAN countries, both producers and consumers, to drive the industry from a regional to a global level for sustainable competitiveness in the future.
