ส.อ.ท. ภาคตะวันออก จัดอบรม “เพิ่มศักยภาพ เชื่อมโยง FTI” ยกระดับองค์ความรู้บุคลากร เสริมความเข้มแข็งเครือข่ายอุตสาหกรรมระดับจังหวัดFTI Eastern Region Organizes Training on “Enhancing Potential: Connecting FTI” to Upgrade Knowledge of Personnel and Strengthen Provincial Industry Networks

On June 11, 2026, the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), through the Eastern Region Industrial Council, organized a practical training program titled “Enhancing Potential: Connecting FTI – Proactive Work, Connecting, Creating Value” to develop the potential of the committee members and staff of the provincial industrial councils in the eastern region to possess the necessary knowledge, understanding, and skills for their operations, while also strengthening cooperation networks to drive the Thai industrial sector efficiently at Pan Asia Footwear Co., Ltd. (Public) in Si Racha District, Chonburi Province.

On this occasion, Ms. Sunthara Thitiwar, Managing Director of PAK Industry Co., Ltd. and a committee member of the Chonburi Provincial Industrial Council, welcomed the participants. Meanwhile, Mr. Thanakrit Techapanarak, Secretary-General of the Eastern Region Industrial Council and President of the Prachinburi Provincial Industrial Council, reported the objectives of the event, with Mr. Sommat Khunsetha, Vice President of FTI, officiating the training and delivering a special lecture.

Mr. Sommat shared knowledge regarding the roles, missions, and operational guidelines of the Federation of Thai Industries, as well as the development of provincial industrial councils’ networks to enable proactive work, connect members, and create tangible value for the industrial sector in the area.

This training covered key content regarding the Industrial Organizations Act of 1987, organizational regulations, administrative structure, membership systems, and management guidelines of provincial industrial councils, aimed at enhancing knowledge and understanding to ensure operations comply with uniform standards accurately, transparently, and in accordance with principles of good governance.

Additionally, participants gained insights into the roles and responsibilities of the provincial industrial council committee, member network development, the preparation of Memoranda of Understanding (MOU), and collaborative projects with government and private entities, including guidelines for driving policies through the Joint Private Sector Committee of three institutions (JPC) and the Joint Public and Private Sector Committee for Economic Problem Resolution (JPP) which are key mechanisms for pushing proposals from the private sector to the government to enhance the competitiveness of provinces and regions.

Moreover, there was dissemination of knowledge regarding the planning process for provincial and grouped development, the integration of industrial sector proposals into area development plans, and the connection of economic, industrial, and investment development issues in line with national development directions to promote the private sector's participation in effectively determining the direction of spatial development.

Mr. Sommat stated that the strength of the provincial industrial councils is a vital foundation for developing the FTI network nationwide. Upgrade in knowledge and capability of board members and staff will enable them to perform their duties professionally, facilitating cooperation among members, government, and various network partners effectively, leading to the sustainable and stable growth of the Thai industrial sector.

This training reflects the FTI’s commitment to enhancing personnel capabilities, developing cooperation networks, and upgrading the operations of provincial industrial councils, enabling them to work proactively as the central hub of the industrial sector in their areas, and as a crucial mechanism to drive the economy and industry of the country in the future.
