เมื่อวันที่ 14 สิงหาคม 2569 นายธีรเสฎฐ์ ธีรสิทธานาถ อนุกรรมการส่งเสริมธุรกิจภูมิภาคอาเซียน สายงานอาเซียนและโลจิสติกส์ สภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) ได้รับมอบหมายให้เข้าร่วมงานเสวนานานาชาติ ISC International Forum 2026 ในหัวข้อ “Thanat Khoman, ASEAN, the Future of Southeast Asia” จัดโดยศูนย์ศึกษาการต่างประเทศ (International Studies Center: ISC) กระทรวงการต่างประเทศ ณ โรงแรมอีสติน แกรนด์ สาทร กรุงเทพฯ
งานเสวนานานาชาติฯ ครั้งนี้จัดขึ้นเพื่อระลึกถึงและเชิดชูเกียรติ ดร.ถนัด คอมันตร์ อดีตรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศของไทย ซึ่งเป็นหนึ่งในผู้ร่วมก่อตั้งอาเซียน และเป็นผู้มีวิสัยทัศน์กว้างไกลในการวางรากฐานความร่วมมือ สันติภาพ และความเป็นกลางในภูมิภาคอาเซียน เนื่องในโอกาสครบรอบ 10 ปีแห่งการถึงแก่อนิจกรรมของท่าน พร้อมทั้งเตรียมการสู่การเฉลิมฉลองวาระครบรอบ 60 ปีแห่งการก่อตั้งอาเซียนในปี 2570
นอกจากนี้ งานเสวนาฯ ยังเป็นเวทีสำคัญสำหรับนักวิชาการ ผู้กำหนดนโยบาย และผู้เชี่ยวชาญ ในการร่วมสะท้อนภาพประวัติศาสตร์ ประเมินทิศทางสถานการณ์ และแลกเปลี่ยนความคิดเห็นเพื่อกำหนดบทบาทของอาเซียน ท่ามกลางความท้าทายทางภูมิรัฐศาสตร์ ความไม่แน่นอนทางเศรษฐกิจ และการเปลี่ยนแปลงทางเทคโนโลยีในปัจจุบัน
สำหรับกิจกรรมสำคัญของงาน แบ่งออกเป็น 3 ช่วงหลัก ได้แก่
-Session I: “The Past: Thanat Khoman’s Vision for ASEAN” ปาฐกถาพิเศษโดย เอกอัครราชทูตประดาป พิบูลสงคราม ประธานกรรมการมูลนิธิจอห์น เอฟ. เคนเนดี แห่งประเทศไทย
-Session II: “The Present: Is ASEAN on the Right Track?” การอภิปรายประเมินเส้นทางการพัฒนาของอาเซียนตามวิสัยทัศน์ ASEAN Vision 2045 โดยผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิระดับภูมิภาค อาทิ ผศ.ดร.แก้วกมล พิทักษ์ดำรงกิจ และ ดร.สุนทร ชัยยินดีภูมิ รวมถึงกิจกรรม Special Lunch Talk โดย ดร.ณรงค์ชัย อัครเศรณี
-Session III: “The Future: Is there a Future for Southeast Asia?” มุ่งเน้นการวิเคราะห์ความเป็นศูนย์กลางของอาเซียน (ASEAN Centrality) และการเพิ่มขีดความสามารถในการแข่งขันของภูมิภาค
การเข้าร่วมงานเสวนาของผู้แทนสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทยในครั้งนี้ ถือเป็นก้าวสำคัญในการนำมุมมองด้านนโยบายการต่างประเทศและความร่วมมือระหว่างประเทศมาประยุกต์ใช้ในการวางยุทธศาสตร์เพื่อส่งเสริมธุรกิจและโลจิสติกส์ของไทย โดยเฉพาะการเสริมสร้างความเข้มแข็งของห่วงโซ่อุปทาน (Supply Chain) และการขยายโอกาสทางการค้าและการลงทุนของภาคอุตสาหกรรมไทยในตลาดอาเซียน
ทั้งนี้ ส.อ.ท. พร้อมเป็นกำลังสำคัญในการประสานความร่วมมือระหว่างภาครัฐและภาคเอกชน เพื่อขับเคลื่อนภูมิภาคเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ให้มีความยั่งยืน มีความยืดหยุ่น และมีขีดความสามารถในการแข่งขันทั้งในระดับภูมิภาคและระดับโลกต่อไป
On August 14, 2026, Mr. Theeraset Theerasittanart, Subcommittee on Promotion of ASEAN Regional Business, ASEAN and Logistics Division, Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), was assigned to participate in the international symposium ISC International Forum 2026 on the topic “Thanat Khoman, ASEAN, the Future of Southeast Asia,” organized by the International Studies Center (ISC), Ministry of Foreign Affairs, at Eastin Grand Hotel Sathorn, Bangkok.
This international symposium was held to commemorate and honor Dr. Thanat Khoman, former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, who was one of the founders of ASEAN and a visionary in establishing cooperation, peace, and neutrality in the ASEAN region, on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of his passing, while also preparing for the celebration of the 60th anniversary of ASEAN's founding in 2027.
Furthermore, the symposium served as an important platform for scholars, policymakers, and experts to reflect on historical perspectives, assess current situations, and exchange views to determine ASEAN's role amid geopolitical challenges, economic uncertainties, and technological changes of the present day.
Key activities of the event were divided into three main sessions:
-Session I: “The Past: Thanat Khoman’s Vision for ASEAN” featuring a keynote address by Ambassador Pradap Pibulsonggram, Chairman of the John F. Kennedy Foundation of Thailand.
-Session II: “The Present: Is ASEAN on the Right Track?” a discussion evaluating ASEAN's development path according to ASEAN Vision 2045, featuring regional experts such as Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kaew Kamol Pithakdamrongkit and Dr. Sunthorn Chaiyindee, along with a Special Lunch Talk by Dr. Narongchai Akraseranee.
-Session III: “The Future: Is there a Future for Southeast Asia?” focused on analyzing ASEAN Centrality and enhancing the region's competitiveness.
The participation of representatives from the Federation of Thai Industries in this forum is a significant step in applying foreign policy and international cooperation perspectives to develop strategies for promoting business and logistics in Thailand, especially by strengthening the supply chain and expanding trade and investment opportunities for the Thai industrial sector in the ASEAN market.
FTI is committed to being a key force in coordinating collaboration between the government and the private sector to drive sustainable, resilient, and competitive growth in the Southeast Asian region at both the regional and global levels.
