On June 10, 2026, Mrs. Pimjai Leeissaranukul, President of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), along with FTI executives Mr. Narongrit Panichchiwa, Vice President of FTI and Chairman of the Membership Relations Division, Mr. Panithan Pawarorlarwittaya, Secretary-General of FTI, Mr. Phairat Uechuayod, Vice President of FTI and Chairman of the Promotion and Support Division of the Provincial Industry Council, Mr. Sanit Ketsuwan, Vice President of FTI and from the Office of the President, Mr. Sarawut Sangwanpao, Vice President of FTI and from the Office of the President, Mr. Suriyan Sriorathai, Chairman of the Gem and Jewelry Industry Group, and Mr. Yutana Anothaisinthavee, Chairman of the Creative Handicraft Industry Group, held discussions with the Office of the Promotion of Meetings and Exhibitions (Public Organization), or TCEB, led by Dr. Surachasan Thongmee, Deputy Director of TCEB, and executives at Passion Room 802, FTI, to exchange cooperation approaches to drive the Thai industrial sector through MICE mechanisms.

Both parties discussed cooperation frameworks under the Empower Thailand Exhibition (EMTEX) project to enhance Thai exhibitions as a significant platform for creating business opportunities, connecting networks of entrepreneurs, and promoting knowledge exchange, which will lead to improving industry competitiveness and effectively stimulate the regional economy.

In this regard, Mrs. Phimjai presented the 5I Strategy of FTI to drive the Thai industrial sector, consisting of
I 1: Intelligent Industry to elevate industries and SMEs to Smart Industry for competition
I 2: Innovation & Creative Industry to elevate industries and SMEs to brand and IP ownership
I 3: International Alliance & Network to establish Thailand as a Global Supply Chain HUB
I 4: Industrial Infrastructure Reform to restructure industrial infrastructure for competition
I 5: Inclusive Sustainability to support each other for sustainable growth together.

Mr. Narongrit presented the successes of past collaborations at both the regional and central levels and proposed plans for activities during the years 2026-2027, aimed at distributing income to regions and promoting the presentation of innovation and technology potentials of the Thai industrial sector to attract businesspeople, investors, and foreign entrepreneurs to participate in exhibitions, including preparations for celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Federation of Thai Industries.

This collaborative approach aligns with the use of MICE mechanisms to promote conferences, incentive travel, exhibitions, and expos to create business opportunities, develop collaborative networks, and exchange knowledge among industrial sectors.
