ส.อ.ท. ศึกษาดูงาน RV Connex มุ่งหนุนอุตสาหกรรมป้องกันประเทศและโดรนไทยสู่สากลFTI Explores RV Connex to Support Thai Defense and Drone Industries on the Global Stage

On August 11, 2026, Mr. Isares Ratandilok Na Phuket, Vice President of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), and the Registrar and Member Complaint Affairs, along with the executive team, visited RV Connex Co., Ltd. to exchange information and discuss the development of the defense industry (drones), including integrating Thai entrepreneurs into the supply chain of the defense industry.

The study visit focused on exploring the potential and opportunities in the Aerospace & Defense, Drone, and Anti-drone industries, as well as related technologies such as Unmanned Aerial Systems, AI Satellites, and Cybersecurity to enhance the capabilities of Thai industries by promoting the use of domestically manufactured products (Made in Thailand: MiT) and increasing the proportion of Local Content to reduce reliance on foreign technology.

Additionally, discussions were held regarding regulatory and standards constraints, particularly concerning manufacturing certification, testing areas, and product testing processes, while emphasizing the importance of developing an ecosystem and supply chain from component manufacturers and technology developers to system service providers.

For future operational guidelines, the FTI will gather information on the capabilities of entrepreneurs and the constraints of laws and regulations to create policy proposals, including considering the establishment of a testing sandbox to support systematic research, development, and testing of products.

Furthermore, the FTI will promote the integration of Thai entrepreneurs into the defense industry supply chain alongside the development of MiT, Local Content, regulations, standards, and infrastructure conducive to technology development, as well as strengthening the Aerospace & Defense, Drone, and Anti-drone industries to enhance the country's self-reliance in technology.
