เมื่อวันที่ 10 สิงหาคม 2569 นายเชิญพร เต็งอำนวย ประธานสภาธุรกิจไทย–ฟิลิปปินส์ และรองประธานสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) พร้อมด้วยคณะผู้แทนสภาธุรกิจไทย–ฟิลิปปินส์ ภายใต้คณะกรรมการร่วมภาคเอกชน 3 สถาบัน (กกร.) และผู้แทนบริษัทเอกชนที่เกี่ยวข้อง ให้การต้อนรับ Ms. Maria Emmanuelle Burgos Commercial Counsellor, Philippine Trade and Investment Center (PTIC) Bangkok, Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines in Thailand พร้อมคณะ ในโอกาสเข้าพบและหารือ ณ ห้องประชุม 1013 ส.อ.ท.
การหารือครั้งนี้เป็นการติดตามผลจากการเดินทางเยือนสาธารณรัฐฟิลิปปินส์ ระหว่างวันที่ 24–26 กรกฎาคม 2569 ที่ผ่านมา โดยได้แลกเปลี่ยนโอกาสทางการค้าและการลงทุนในสาขาที่มีศักยภาพ อาทิ พลังงานหมุนเวียน การแพทย์และสุขภาพ เกษตรและอาหาร และการท่องเที่ยวเชิงสุขภาพ (Wellness Tourism) โดยฟิลิปปินส์มีเป้าหมายเพิ่มสัดส่วนพลังงานหมุนเวียนเป็น 50% ภายในปี 2040 ซึ่งเป็นโอกาสสำคัญสำหรับภาคธุรกิจไทยในการขยายความร่วมมือและการลงทุนในฟิลิปปินส์
นอกจากนี้ ทั้งสองฝ่ายยังได้หารือถึงการเสริมสร้าง ความมั่นคงทางอาหาร (Food Security) และโอกาสทางการค้าสินค้าเกษตร รวมถึงการเชื่อมโยงเครือข่ายภาคธุรกิจและการจัด Business Matching ในสาขาอาหาร เครื่องดื่ม และ Wellness เพื่อผลักดันให้เกิดความร่วมมือทางธุรกิจระหว่างไทยและฟิลิปปินส์อย่างเป็นรูปธรรมมากยิ่งขึ้น
ทั้งนี้ ทั้งสองฝ่ายได้แลกเปลี่ยนความคิดเห็นเกี่ยวกับแนวทางส่งเสริมบทบาทและสร้างเครือข่ายให้แก่ภาคธุรกิจฟิลิปปินส์ที่ดำเนินธุรกิจในประเทศไทย รวมถึงแนวคิดการจัดตั้งหอการค้าฟิลิปปินส์ในประเทศไทย (Philippine Chamber of Commerce in Thailand) และแนวทางการเชื่อมโยงกับสภาธุรกิจไทย–ฟิลิปปินส์ เพื่อเสริมสร้างความสัมพันธ์ทางเศรษฐกิจและขยายโอกาสทางธุรกิจระหว่างสองประเทศต่อไป
On August 10, 2026, Mr. Chiraporn Theng-amnuay, Chairman of the Thai-Philippine Business Council and Vice Chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), along with a delegation from the Thai-Philippine Business Council under the Joint Private Sector Committee of three institutions (JCC), and representatives from relevant private companies welcomed Ms. Maria Emmanuelle Burgos, Commercial Counsellor of the Philippine Trade and Investment Center (PTIC) Bangkok, Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines in Thailand, and her team for a meeting and discussion at FTI Meeting Room 1013.
This discussion was a follow-up from the visit to the Republic of the Philippines that took place from July 24-26, 2026, where opportunities for trade and investment in potential sectors such as renewable energy, medical and health services, agriculture and food, and wellness tourism were exchanged. The Philippines aims to increase the share of renewable energy to 50% by 2040, presenting a significant opportunity for Thai businesses to expand cooperation and investment in the Philippines.
Moreover, both parties discussed enhancing food security and trade opportunities for agricultural products, as well as connecting the business sector network and organizing Business Matching in the food, beverage, and wellness sectors to further promote concrete business cooperation between Thailand and the Philippines.
Additionally, both sides exchanged views on strategies to promote the role and create a network for Filipino businesses operating in Thailand, including the idea of establishing a Philippine Chamber of Commerce in Thailand and connecting with the Thai-Philippine Business Council to strengthen economic relations and expand business opportunities between the two countries.
