เมื่อวันที่ 6 สิงหาคม 2569 นางพิมพ์ใจ ลี้อิสสระนุกูล ประธานสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) พร้อมด้วยนายปณิธาน ปวโรฬารวิทยา เลขาธิการ ส.อ.ท. นายอิศเรศ รัตนดิลก ณ ภูเก็ต รองประธานส.อ.ท. และกรรมการ ส.อ.ท. กว่า 100 ท่าน เข้าร่วมงานสัมมนาส่งเสริมการค้าการลงทุนไทย-เมียนมา (Thailand-Myanmar Business Forum 2026) ซึ่งจัดโดยสมาคมไทย–พม่าเพื่อมิตรภาพ ร่วมกับกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ โดยมีนายอนุทิน ชาญวีรกูล นายกรัฐมนตรีแห่งราชอาณาจักรไทย และ พลเอกอาวุโส มิน ออง ไลง์ ประธานาธิบดีแห่งสาธารณรัฐแห่งสหภาพเมียนมา กล่าวปาฐกถาพิเศษ ในหัวข้อ "New Chapter and Future of Enhancing the Thailand-Myanmar Business Partnership" ณ Plenary Hall ชั้น 1 ศูนย์การประชุมแห่งชาติสิริกิติ์
ภายในงาน นายอนุทิน ได้กล่าวแสดงความยินดีในโอกาสที่ พลเอกอาวุโส มิน ออง ไลง์ ประธานาธิบดีแห่งสาธารณรัฐแห่งสหภาพเมียนมา เดินทางเยือนประเทศไทยอย่างเป็นทางการ ในระหว่างที่ทั้งสองผู้นำได้ขึ้นกล่าวปาฐกถาพิเศษร่วมกันภายในงาน
ทั้งนี้ ทั้งสองฝ่ายได้ร่วมกันย้ำถึงความสำคัญของความสัมพันธ์ทวิภาคีไทย-เมียนมา พร้อมมุ่งส่งเสริมสภาพแวดล้อมทางธุรกิจ และเปิดมิติใหม่ของหุ้นส่วนยุทธศาสตร์ทางเศรษฐกิจร่วมกันอย่างยั่งยืน โดยมีเป้าหมายสำคัญ คือ การสร้างบรรยากาศการค้าชายแดนไทย–เมียนมาให้กลับมาคึกคักอีกครั้งภายในปีนี้ และผลักดันมูลค่าการค้าระหว่างกันให้บรรลุเป้าหมาย 12,000 ล้านดอลลาร์สหรัฐ (ประมาณ 4 แสนล้านบาท)
ในโอกาสนี้ สภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย พร้อมที่จะเป็นสะพานเชื่อมโยงโอกาสทางธุรกิจ เพื่อส่งเสริมการเติบโตทางเศรษฐกิจชายแดนและการเชื่อมโยงห่วงโซ่อุปทานระหว่างสองประเทศ โดยมุ่งหวังให้ความร่วมมือในครั้งนี้ช่วยลดอุปสรรคทางการค้า อำนวยความสะดวกแก่นักลงทุน และยกระดับขีดความสามารถในการแข่งขันของภาคอุตสาหกรรมไทย-เมียนมา ให้เติบโตอย่างเข้มแข็งและยั่งยืน
On August 6, 2026, Mrs. Pimjai Leeissaranukul, President of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), along with Mr. Panithan Pawarolwutthaya, Secretary General of FTI, Mr. Isereth Rattanadilok na Phuket, Vice President of FTI, and over 100 FTI board members, attended the Thailand-Myanmar Business Forum 2026, organized by the Thailand–Myanmar Friendship Association in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The event featured a keynote address by Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand, and Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, on the topic "New Chapter and Future of Enhancing the Thailand-Myanmar Business Partnership" at the Plenary Hall, 1st floor, Queen Sirikit National Convention Center.
During the event, Mr. Anutin congratulated Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, on his official visit to Thailand while both leaders delivered their keynote addresses together at the event.
Both parties reiterated the importance of Thai-Myanmar bilateral relations while aiming to promote the business environment and open new dimensions of sustainable economic partnerships. A crucial goal is to revitalize border trade between Thailand and Myanmar within this year and push for bilateral trade value reaching 12 billion USD (approximately 400 billion THB).
On this occasion, the Federation of Thai Industries is ready to be a bridge connecting business opportunities to promote economic growth along the border and linking supply chains between the two countries, aiming for this cooperation to help reduce trade barriers, facilitate investors, and enhance the competitiveness of the Thai-Myanmar industrial sector for sustainable and robust growth.
