วันที่ 15 ตุลาคม 2569 ดร.วิรัช ฉัตรดรงค์ รองประธานสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) และประธานสถาบันดิจิทัลเพื่ออุตสาหกรรม เข้าร่วมงานแถลงข่าวเปิดตัวโครงการระดับชาติ “Microsoft Elevate AI and Jobs for Thailand” พร้อมร่วมการเสวนาโต๊ะกลม (Roundtable Discussion) ในหัวข้อ “Building an AI-Ready Thailand Together: Microsoft Elevate AI & Jobs for Thailand’s OECD Journey” ณ โรงแรมโรสวูด กรุงเทพฯ
ภายในงานได้รับเกียรติจากผู้บริหารระดับสูงของไมโครซอฟท์ร่วมประกาศความมุ่งมั่นในการขับเคลื่อนโครงการ โดย มร. เควิน เฟรย์ รองประธานและประธานเจ้าหน้าที่ฝ่ายสร้างผลกระทบเชิงบวกของ Microsoft Elevate กล่าวปาฐกถาเปิดงานว่า โอกาสจาก AI ไม่ได้จำกัดอยู่เพียงการเข้าถึงเทคโนโลยี แต่ยังครอบคลุมถึงการเสริมสร้างทักษะและความมั่นใจให้ผู้คนสามารถนำ AI ไปใช้งานได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพและมีความรับผิดชอบ ควบคู่กับการเปิดโอกาสให้นำทักษะไปประยุกต์ใช้จริง โดยไมโครซอฟท์มุ่งมั่นสนับสนุนผู้คนอย่างครบวงจร ภายใต้แนวคิด “จากห้องเรียนสู่มหาวิทยาลัย จนถึงการทำงานจริง” (Classroom to Campus to Career) เพื่อเชื่อมโยงการเรียนรู้สู่โอกาสการจ้างงานที่มีคุณค่าสำหรับคนไทยทุกคน

ในโอกาสนี้ นายประเสริฐ จันทรรวงทอง รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงศึกษาธิการ ให้เกียรติเป็นประธานกล่าวเปิดงานและต้อนรับผู้เข้าร่วมงาน พร้อมเน้นย้ำว่า “ประเทศที่พร้อมสำหรับ AI คือประเทศที่มีคนพร้อมที่สุด” โดยกระทรวงศึกษาธิการขับเคลื่อนหลักการ “AI in All, All in AI และ AI for All” เพื่อวางรากฐานให้ผู้เรียน “คิดเป็น ใช้เป็น และรู้เท่าทัน” พร้อมใช้อาชีวศึกษาเป็นกลไกสำคัญในการนำหลักสูตรและการรับรองทักษะ AI เข้าสู่การเรียนการสอน ตลอดจนพัฒนาครูให้เป็นผู้นำการเปลี่ยนแปลง เพื่อให้ผู้เรียนเข้าถึงองค์ความรู้ได้อย่างเท่าเทียม
ขณะเดียวกัน ศ. ดร.ยศชนัน วงศ์สวัสดิ์ รองนายกรัฐมนตรีและรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการอุดมศึกษา วิทยาศาสตร์ วิจัยและนวัตกรรม (อว.) กล่าวผ่านวีดิทัศน์ถึงนโยบายปฏิรูปการศึกษาระดับอุดมศึกษาและส่งเสริมการเรียนรู้ตลอดชีวิต ผ่านระบบคลังหน่วยกิตแห่งชาติ (National Credit Bank) เพื่อสนับสนุนการพัฒนากำลังคนและขับเคลื่อนประเทศไทยสู่มาตรฐาน OECD
การเปิดตัวภาคีความร่วมมือระดับชาติครั้งนี้ เป็นการผนึกกำลังระหว่างภาครัฐ ภาคการศึกษา ภาคอุตสาหกรรม แพลตฟอร์มการจ้างงาน และภาคประชาสังคม เพื่อสร้างเส้นทางการพัฒนาทักษะ AI ให้ครอบคลุมตั้งแต่นักเรียนอาชีวศึกษา นักศึกษา บัณฑิตจบใหม่ ผู้หางาน ไปจนถึงผู้ที่ต้องการเปลี่ยนสายอาชีพ ทั้งนี้ ประเทศไทยเป็นประเทศแรกในบรรดา 19 ประเทศทั่วโลกที่เปิดตัวโครงการ Microsoft Elevate AI and Jobs และนำรูปแบบความร่วมมือระดับชาติมาประยุกต์ใช้
ดร.วิรัช ได้ร่วมแลกเปลี่ยนมุมมองในเวทีเสวนาโต๊ะกลม โดยเน้นย้ำบทบาทของภาคอุตสาหกรรมในการระบุช่องว่างด้านทักษะแรงงาน (Skill Gaps) และยกระดับทักษะ AI ให้แก่กำลังคนในภาคการผลิต รวมถึงผู้ประกอบการ SMEs ทั่วประเทศ โดย ส.อ.ท. พร้อมร่วมขับเคลื่อนกรอบการเปลี่ยนผ่านกำลังคน (Workforce Transformation Framework) เพื่อให้การพัฒนาทักษะสอดคล้องกับความต้องการของภาคอุตสาหกรรม
สำหรับโครงการ Microsoft Elevate AI and Jobs for Thailand ระยะแรก มีกำหนดดำเนินงาน 9 เดือน ตั้งแต่เดือนตุลาคม 2569 ถึงเดือนมิถุนายน 2570 ครอบคลุม 4 ด้านหลัก ได้แก่
1. การจัดตั้งภาคีความร่วมมือและจัดทำกรอบการเปลี่ยนผ่านกำลังคน (Workforce Transformation Framework)
2. การพัฒนาหลักสูตรและการรับรองทักษะ AI ตามกรอบมาตรฐานสากล (DigComp 2.2)
3. การจัดกิจกรรมส่งเสริมการประยุกต์ใช้ AI ในทางปฏิบัติ เช่น การแข่งขัน Hackathon
4. การเชื่อมโยงผู้ผ่านการอบรมเข้าสู่การจ้างงาน โดยใช้ข้อมูลตลาดแรงงานจาก ส.อ.ท. (FTI) และ JobsDB by SEEK
สภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทยเชื่อมั่นว่า ความร่วมมือกับไมโครซอฟท์และภาคีเครือข่ายในครั้งนี้ จะช่วยลดช่องว่างด้านทักษะแรงงาน เพิ่มขีดความสามารถในการแข่งขัน และขับเคลื่อนเศรษฐกิจไทยสู่ยุคดิจิทัลอย่างยั่งยืน

On October 15, 2026, Dr. Virat Chatdarong, Vice Chairman of The Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) and Chairman of the Digital Institute for Industry, attended the press conference for the national project launch “Microsoft Elevate AI and Jobs for Thailand” and participated in a roundtable discussion on the topic “Building an AI-Ready Thailand Together: Microsoft Elevate AI & Jobs for Thailand’s OECD Journey” at the Rosewood Hotel, Bangkok.
During the event, senior executives from Microsoft announced their commitment to drive the project, with Mr. Kevin Frey, Vice President and Chief Impact Officer of Microsoft Elevate, delivering the keynote speech. He stated that the opportunities from AI are not limited to accessing technology, but also encompass enhancing skills and confidence so that individuals can effectively and responsibly apply AI, alongside creating opportunities to practically apply these skills. Microsoft is committed to supporting individuals comprehensively under the concept of “From Classroom to Campus to Career” to connect learning with valuable employment opportunities for all Thais.
Additionally, Mr. Thanawat Sutthumpan, Managing Director of Microsoft (Thailand) Co., Ltd., participated in the high-level roundtable discussion to help determine the direction for developing the country’s workforce alongside representatives from the government and industry.
On this occasion, Mr. Prasert Chandrorrungthong, Minister of Education, was honored to preside over the opening ceremony and welcome participants. He emphasized that “A country ready for AI is a country with the most prepared people,” noting that the Ministry of Education promotes the principles of “AI in All, All in AI, and AI for All” to lay the foundation for learners to “think critically, apply skills, and be aware” while using vocational education as a key mechanism to integrate AI curriculum and skills certification into teaching and learning, as well as to develop teachers as change leaders to ensure equal access to knowledge for all learners.
At the same time, Professor Dr. Yotchanan Wongwatanasathit, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation (MHESI), spoke via video about the policy for reforming higher education and promoting lifelong learning through the National Credit Bank system to support workforce development and advance Thailand to OECD standards.
The launch of this national partnership is a collaborative effort between the government, education sector, industry, employment platforms, and civil society to create pathways for developing AI skills that encompass vocational students, university students, new graduates, job seekers, and those wishing to change careers. Thailand is the first country among 19 nations worldwide to launch the Microsoft Elevate AI and Jobs project and to apply a national collaboration model.
Dr. Virat exchanged views in the roundtable discussion, emphasizing the role of industry in identifying skill gaps and enhancing AI skills for the workforce in the manufacturing sector, as well as for SMEs nationwide. The FTI is ready to drive the Workforce Transformation Framework to ensure that skills development aligns with the needs of the industry.
For the first phase of the Microsoft Elevate AI and Jobs for Thailand project, the program is scheduled to operate for 9 months, from October 2026 to June 2027, covering 4 main areas including:
1. Establishing partnerships and developing the Workforce Transformation Framework
2. Developing AI curriculum and skills certification based on international standards (DigComp 2.2)
3. Organizing activities to promote practical AI applications, such as Hackathon competitions
4. Connecting training graduates to employment using labor market data from FTI and JobsDB by SEEK.
