เมื่อวันที่ 29 พฤษภาคม 2569 นายสุธี ไตรวิวัฒน์วงศ์ ประธานกลุ่มอุตสาหกรรมผู้ผลิตเครื่องมือแพทย์ สภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) ได้เข้าร่วมพิธีลงนามความร่วมมือภายใต้ “โครงการนวัตกรรมทางการแพทย์และสุขภาพให้เติบโตอย่างยั่งยืน” เพื่อเร่งสร้างระบบนิเวศนวัตกรรมทางการแพทย์และสุขภาพของประเทศไทยให้สามารถเชื่อมโยงงานวิจัย เทคโนโลยี และนวัตกรรมสู่การใช้งานจริงและการต่อยอดเชิงพาณิชย์ได้อย่างเป็นรูปธรรม จัดโดยสำนักงานนวัตกรรมแห่งชาติ (องค์การมหาชน) หรือ NIA ภายใต้กระทรวงการอุดมศึกษา วิทยาศาสตร์ วิจัยและนวัตกรรม (อว.) ร่วมกับ 32 หน่วยงานภาคีเครือข่ายจากภาครัฐ สถาบันการศึกษา สถานพยาบาล ภาคเอกชน และองค์กรวิชาชีพ
สภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) ในฐานะหนึ่งในภาคีความร่วมมือสำคัญ ได้ร่วมสนับสนุนการพัฒนาและยกระดับอุตสาหกรรมเครื่องมือแพทย์และเทคโนโลยีสุขภาพของไทย โดยมุ่งส่งเสริมการเชื่อมโยงระหว่างผู้ประกอบการ ภาคการผลิต สถาบันวิจัย และหน่วยงานด้านสาธารณสุข เพื่อผลักดันนวัตกรรมไทยให้สามารถแข่งขันได้ในระดับสากล พร้อมลดการพึ่งพาเทคโนโลยีจากต่างประเทศในระยะยาว
ความร่วมมือครั้งนี้ มีเป้าหมายในการสร้างกลไกสนับสนุนการพัฒนานวัตกรรมอย่างครบวงจร ตั้งแต่การวิจัยและพัฒนา การทดสอบและรับรองมาตรฐาน การนำร่องใช้งานจริงในสถานพยาบาล ตลอดจนการเข้าถึงแหล่งทุนและโอกาสทางการตลาด ผ่านเครื่องมือสำคัญ อาทิ Regulatory Sandbox การสนับสนุนทุนร่วม (Co-funding) และเครือข่ายโรงพยาบาลนำร่องทั่วประเทศ เพื่อเร่งการเติบโตของธุรกิจ MedTech, HealthTech และ Wellness ของไทย
ภายใต้กรอบการดำเนินงานระยะ 3 ปี โครงการฯ ตั้งเป้าผลักดันให้เกิดการลงทุนและการขยายตลาดด้านนวัตกรรมทางการแพทย์และสุขภาพมูลค่ากว่า 12,000 ล้านบาท สร้างมูลค่าการค้าและการส่งออกนวัตกรรมไทยกว่า 2,500 ล้านบาท พร้อมส่งเสริมการจ้างงานทักษะสูงกว่า 10,000 ตำแหน่ง ซึ่งจะมีส่วนสำคัญในการยกระดับศักยภาพอุตสาหกรรมการแพทย์และสุขภาพของไทย และสนับสนุนการก้าวสู่การเป็นศูนย์กลางนวัตกรรมการแพทย์ (Medical Innovation Hub) ของภูมิภาค
นอกจากนี้ ความร่วมมือดังกล่าวยังมุ่งส่งเสริมการพัฒนาเทคโนโลยีและนวัตกรรมที่ตอบโจทย์ความท้าทายด้านสาธารณสุขของประเทศ ทั้งการรองรับสังคมสูงวัย การลดภาระโรคไม่ติดต่อเรื้อรัง (NCDs) การยกระดับคุณภาพการรักษาพยาบาล และการส่งเสริมสุขภาพเชิงป้องกัน ซึ่งจะช่วยเพิ่มโอกาสทางธุรกิจให้แก่ผู้ประกอบการไทย ควบคู่กับการสร้างความมั่นคงทางสาธารณสุขและคุณภาพชีวิตที่ดีขึ้นของประชาชน
ส.อ.ท. พร้อมเดินหน้าสนับสนุนการพัฒนาอุตสาหกรรมการแพทย์และสุขภาพของประเทศ ผ่านการสร้างเครือข่ายความร่วมมือระหว่างภาคอุตสาหกรรม หน่วยงานภาครัฐ และสถาบันการศึกษา เพื่อผลักดันนวัตกรรมไทยสู่การใช้ประโยชน์เชิงพาณิชย์ สร้างมูลค่าเพิ่มทางเศรษฐกิจ และยกระดับขีดความสามารถการแข่งขันของประเทศไทยอย่างยั่งยืน สอดคล้องกับแนวทางการขับเคลื่อนอุตสาหกรรมไทยภายใต้ยุทธศาสตร์ 5I ของ ส.อ.ท. โดยเฉพาะมิติ Innovation & Creativity Industry ที่มุ่งส่งเสริมการสร้างนวัตกรรม การต่อยอดองค์ความรู้และทรัพย์สินทางปัญญา ตลอดจนการพัฒนาผลิตภัณฑ์และเทคโนโลยีที่มีมูลค่าเพิ่มสูง เพื่อผลักดันประเทศไทยสู่เศรษฐกิจฐานนวัตกรรมและการเติบโตอย่างยั่งยืนในอนาคต
On May 29, 2026, Mr. Suthee Traivivatwong, Chairman of the Medical Devices Industry Group of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), participated in a signing ceremony under the “Sustainable Growth for Medical and Health Innovation Project” to accelerate the establishment of a medical and health innovation ecosystem in Thailand that can connect research, technology, and innovations to practical use and commercial scalability. The event was organized by the National Innovation Agency (Public Organization) or NIA under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, along with 32 partnering agencies from the government, educational institutions, healthcare facilities, the private sector, and professional organizations.
The Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), as one of the key collaborators, has supported the development and enhancement of Thailand's medical devices and health technology industry by promoting connections among entrepreneurs, the manufacturing sector, research institutes, and public health agencies to drive Thai innovation to compete internationally while reducing long-term reliance on foreign technology.
This collaboration aims to create a comprehensive support mechanism for innovation development, from research and development, testing and certification standards, real-world pilot implementation in healthcare facilities, to accessing funding sources and market opportunities through key instruments such as Regulatory Sandbox, co-funding support, and a network of pilot hospitals nationwide to accelerate growth in Thailand's MedTech, HealthTech, and Wellness sectors.
Under the 3-year operational framework, the project aims to drive investments and market expansion in medical and health innovation worth over 12 billion THB, create trade and export value for Thai innovations exceeding 2.5 billion THB, while promoting high-skilled job creation for more than 10,000 positions, which will significantly enhance the potential of Thailand's medical and health industry and support its advancement towards becoming a Medical Innovation Hub in the region.
Furthermore, this collaboration aims to promote the development of technologies and innovations that address the country’s public health challenges, including accommodating an aging society, reducing the burden of non-communicable diseases (NCDs), improving the quality of medical care, and promoting preventive health measures, which will help create business opportunities for Thai entrepreneurs alongside enhancing public health security and improving the quality of life for citizens.
The FTI is committed to advancing the development of the country’s medical and health industries by creating collaboration networks among industry sectors, government agencies, and educational institutions to propel Thai innovations towards commercial applications, generate economic value, and elevate Thailand's competitive capabilities sustainably. This aligns with the driving strategy of the Thai industry under the FTI's 5I strategy, particularly in the dimension of Innovation & Creativity Industry, which aims to promote innovation creation, knowledge and intellectual property enhancement, as well as the development of high-value products and technologies to drive Thailand towards an innovation-based economy and sustainable growth in the future.
