On Tuesday, May 26, 2026, Mrs. Pimjai Leeissaranukul, Chairperson of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), along with FTI Vice Presidents Mr. Suwatch Supakarndechakul, Mr. Teerapol Thirawasin, Mr. Somboon Pithyarangsarit, and Dr. Nawarath Songsawadchai, warmly welcomed a delegation from the Thai Rubber Association led by Mr. Veerasit Sinjaroenkul, President of the Thai Rubber Association, Mr. Krissakrit Kittipol, Secretary-General of the Thai Rubber Association, and Mr. Chaiyapol Koedwongbandit, Deputy Secretary-General of the Thai Rubber Association on the occasion of their visit to congratulate her on assuming the position of FTI Chairperson for the term 2026-2028 at the Mongkolsuthee Room, FTI.

 

During the discussions, both parties exchanged views on the direction of the Thai rubber industry. Mrs. Phimjai emphasized policies to promote value addition for the rubber industry throughout the supply chain to enhance Thailand's competitiveness in the global market, including advocating for rubber tree title deeds to increase trade opportunities and build confidence in the Thai rubber industry.

 

The Thai Rubber Association proposed several initiatives to drive the industry, such as improving the ease of doing business, promoting the use of natural rubber domestically, and advocating for the establishment of Free Trade Agreements (FTA) to expand markets and enhance the competitiveness of Thai businesses in the global market.

 

The FTI expressed its support for advancing the rubber industry and requested the Thai Rubber Association to collaborate with the FTI's rubber industry group to establish mechanisms and strategies for effectively implementing policy proposals. The FTI is ready to integrate cooperation with all sectors to support the sustainable growth of the Thai rubber industry.
