On July 24, 2026, the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) organized the Kick-off event for the "AI Knowledge, Skills, and Competency Enhancement Project for FTI Personnel" to develop the potential of staff to effectively utilize Artificial Intelligence (AI) in their work, enhance workflow processes and member services, and drive the organization towards a Digital Organization at Room 802, 8th Floor, FTI.

The event was honored by the presence of Mr. Panithan Pawaralarwitya, Secretary-General of FTI, and Mr. Thaworn Chalatsatian, Vice President of FTI, Chairman of the Human Capability Enhancement Institute, and Chairman of the Human Resources Management Committee of FTI, who jointly launched the project and shared their vision for enhancing personnel potential by creating knowledge, understanding, and skills in appropriately selecting AI for their work characteristics to increase productivity, improve work processes, and evolve towards a work style that meets the challenges of organizational transformation in the digital age.

Additionally, Dr. Wirat Chatrarong, Vice President of FTI and Chairperson of the Digital Institute for Industry, as well as Vice President of the Economic and Academic Sector of FTI, gave a special lecture on the topic “AI to Intelligent Industry”, sharing insights on applying AI as a key mechanism for elevating the industrial sector. He pointed out that the transition to an Intelligent Industry requires systematic development in processes, technologies and data, as well as personnel and organizations, emphasizing that the adoption of AI should begin with defining the problems and business objectives before selecting the appropriate technologies.

Furthermore, Associate Professor Dr. Atiwong Suchato, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Chulalongkorn University, delivered a special lecture on the topic “AI Literacy” to enhance understanding of the fundamental principles of AI, working approaches, and appropriate applications, so that personnel can effectively choose to use AI in line with the organizational work context.

Towards the end, the Human Capability Enhancement Institute presented a strategy for developing AI skills for FTI personnel through the design of a Learning Path aligned with the competency levels of staff, emphasizing Project-Based Learning to enable participants to apply knowledge to develop actual projects or cases (AI Use Case) that address the organization's mission and measure the outcomes of implementing AI to enhance work efficiency in a tangible manner, in accordance with the project goals aimed at developing AI skills at all levels, connecting learning to practical use, and continuously monitoring the development results.
