เมื่อวันที่ 18 พฤษภาคม 2569 นายเจริญชัย เฉลียวเกรียงไกร กรรมการบริหารสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) เป็นผู้แทน ส.อ.ท. กล่าวปาฐกถาในงานสัมมนา “Thai-German Conference: Climate Talk” ซึ่งจัดโดยสถานเอกอัครราชทูตเยอรมันประจำประเทศไทย ร่วมกับสภาหอการค้าไทย–เยอรมัน (German-Thai Chamber of Commerce: GTCC) โดยมี H.E. Dr. Ernst Reichel เอกอัครราชทูตสหพันธ์สาธารณรัฐเยอรมนีประจำประเทศไทย กล่าวเปิดงาน ณ โรงแรม Mövenpick BDMS Wellness Resort กรุงเทพฯ
การจัดงานครั้งนี้ มีเป้าหมายเพื่อแลกเปลี่ยนองค์ความรู้และแนวปฏิบัติด้านเทคโนโลยีสะอาด รวมถึงส่งเสริมเครือข่ายความร่วมมือระหว่างภาคธุรกิจไทยและเยอรมนีในการขับเคลื่อนการเปลี่ยนผ่านสู่เศรษฐกิจสีเขียว
สำหรับการปาฐกถาหัวข้อ “Clean Tech Solutions” ผู้แทน ส.อ.ท. ได้นำเสนอแนวทางการพัฒนาอุตสาหกรรมสีเขียวของไทย พร้อมยกตัวอย่างโครงการ “สระบุรีแซนด์บ็อกซ์” (Saraburi Sandbox) ซึ่งเป็นโครงการนำร่องพัฒนาเมืองต้นแบบคาร์บอนต่ำแห่งแรกของประเทศไทยในจังหวัดสระบุรี พื้นที่ที่มีโรงงานอุตสาหกรรมซีเมนต์และอุตสาหกรรมหนักตั้งอยู่จำนวนมาก ส่งผลให้มีการปล่อยก๊าซเรือนกระจกในระดับสูง
ทั้งนี้ โครงการดังกล่าวมีเป้าหมายลดการปล่อยก๊าซเรือนกระจกผ่านความร่วมมือในรูปแบบ Public-Private-People Partnership (PPPP) โดยบูรณาการความร่วมมือระหว่างภาครัฐ ภาคเอกชน ผู้ประกอบการท้องถิ่น และชุมชน เพื่อสร้างระบบนิเวศอุตสาหกรรมคาร์บอนต่ำอย่างเป็นรูปธรรมและยั่งยืน
นอกจากนี้ ยังได้สะท้อนวิสัยทัศน์ต่อการเปลี่ยนผ่านสู่เศรษฐกิจสีเขียวของประเทศไทย โดยระบุว่า ประเทศไทยมีศักยภาพด้านทรัพยากรธรรมชาติที่สามารถต่อยอดสู่การผลิตพลังงานสะอาด อาทิ พลังงานแสงอาทิตย์และพลังงานชีวภาพ อย่างไรก็ตาม ภาคเอกชนไทยยังเผชิญข้อจำกัดด้านกฎหมายและกฎระเบียบที่เกี่ยวข้อง ซึ่งจำเป็นต้องได้รับการปรับปรุงให้มีความยืดหยุ่นและเปิดเสรีมากยิ่งขึ้น เพื่อเอื้อต่อการลงทุนและสนับสนุนการขับเคลื่อนเศรษฐกิจสีเขียวของประเทศในระยะยาว
On May 18, 2026, Mr. Jaroenchai Chaleokriangkhai, Executive Committee Member of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), represented the FTI and delivered a keynote address at the “Thai-German Conference: Climate Talk,” organized by the German Embassy in Thailand in collaboration with the German-Thai Chamber of Commerce (GTCC). H.E. Dr. Ernst Reichel, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Thailand, opened the event at the Mövenpick BDMS Wellness Resort in Bangkok.
The aim of this event was to exchange knowledge and practices related to clean technology, as well as to promote collaboration networks between Thai and German businesses in driving the transition towards a green economy.
In the keynote speech on “Clean Tech Solutions,” the FTI representative presented the strategies for developing Thailand’s green industry, highlighting the “Saraburi Sandbox” project. This project serves as a pilot initiative for the development of the first low-carbon model city in Saraburi province, an area that hosts many cement and heavy industry factories, resulting in high levels of greenhouse gas emissions.
The project aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions through collaboration in the form of Public-Private-People Partnership (PPPP), integrating cooperation among governmental bodies, private sectors, local entrepreneurs, and communities to create a tangible and sustainable low-carbon industrial ecosystem.
Additionally, the vision for Thailand’s transition to a green economy was reflected, emphasizing that Thailand possesses natural resources that can be leveraged for clean energy production, such as solar energy and biomass. However, the Thai private sector still faces legal and regulatory constraints that need to be improved for greater flexibility and liberalization to facilitate investment and support the long-term drive for the country’s green economy.
