เมื่อวันศุกร์ที่ 15 พฤษภาคม 2569 ดร.ทองดี ปาโส กรรมการสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) และประธานกลุ่มอุตสาหกรรมอาหารและเครื่องดื่ม ได้รับเกียรติเป็นวิทยากรร่วมอภิปรายและถ่ายทอดองค์ความรู้ในหัวข้อ “บทบาทภาคเอกชนและการกำหนดนโยบายเศรษฐกิจ” ภายใต้หลักสูตรประกาศนียบัตรชั้นสูงการบริหารเศรษฐกิจสาธารณะสำหรับนักบริหารระดับสูง รุ่นที่ 24 ซึ่งจัดโดยสถาบันพระปกเกล้า ณ ห้องสุโขทัยธรรมราชา สถาบันพระปกเกล้า ศูนย์ราชการแจ้งวัฒนะ
การอภิปรายครั้งนี้ ดร.ทองดี ได้ร่วมแลกเปลี่ยนมุมมองกับนายธวัชชัย เศรษฐจินดา กรรมการเลขาธิการหอการค้าไทยและสภาหอการค้าแห่งประเทศไทย และนายยรรยง ไทยเจริญ ผู้แทนสมาคมธนาคารไทย โดยมี รศ.ดร.ชมพูนุท โกสลากร เพิ่มพูนวิวัฒน์ เป็นผู้ดำเนินรายการ
การบรรยายมุ่งสะท้อนบทบาทของภาคเอกชนในการขับเคลื่อนเศรษฐกิจไทย ผ่านกลไกความร่วมมือระหว่างภาครัฐและเอกชน โดยเฉพาะบทบาทของคณะกรรมการร่วมภาคเอกชน 3 สถาบัน (กกร.) ซึ่งเป็นเวทีกลางในการเสนอแนวทางแก้ไขปัญหาเศรษฐกิจ การค้า การลงทุน และการเพิ่มขีดความสามารถในการแข่งขันของประเทศ
ดร.ทองดี ได้สะท้อนมุมมองต่อแนวโน้มเศรษฐกิจโลกปี 2569 ที่อยู่ในภาวะเปราะบาง ท่ามกลางความท้าทายด้านภูมิรัฐศาสตร์ สงครามการค้า ความผันผวนของค่าเงิน พลังงาน และการเปลี่ยนผ่านสู่ยุค AI โดยชี้ว่า ภาคอุตสาหกรรมไทยจำเป็นต้องเร่งปรับตัวสู่ Smart Industry ใช้เทคโนโลยีดิจิทัลและ AI เพื่อเพิ่มผลิตภาพ ควบคู่กับการพัฒนาทักษะแรงงาน การสร้างนวัตกรรม และการยกระดับ SME สู่การเป็นเจ้าของแบรนด์และทรัพย์สินทางปัญญา
นอกจากนี้ ยังได้เสนอแนวทาง “Reinvent Thailand” ผ่านความร่วมมือระหว่างภาครัฐและเอกชน เพื่อสร้างเครื่องยนต์เศรษฐกิจใหม่ของประเทศ อาทิ การปฏิรูปโครงสร้างพลังงาน การส่งเสริมโครงการ PPP การพัฒนาบุคลากรด้านดิจิทัลและ AI การบริหารจัดการน้ำ การยกระดับความโปร่งใส และการผลักดันการเติบโตอย่างยั่งยืนและครอบคลุม
สภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย ยังคงมุ่งมั่นทำหน้าที่เป็นกลไกสำคัญในการเชื่อมโยงภาครัฐและภาคเอกชน เพื่อร่วมกำหนดนโยบายเศรษฐกิจ และขับเคลื่อนประเทศไทยสู่การเติบโตอย่างมั่นคงและยั่งยืนในอนาคต
ทั้งนี้ มีผู้เข้ารับฟังการบรรยาย ซึ่งเป็นผู้บริหารระดับสูงจากหน่วยงานภาครัฐ ภาคเอกชน และภาคประชาชน เข้าร่วมกว่า 113 คน
On Friday, May 15, 2026, Dr. Thongdee Pahso, a member of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) and Chairman of the Food and Beverage Industry Group, was honored to be a speaker in a panel discussion sharing knowledge on the topic “The Role of the Private Sector and Economic Policy Formulation” as part of the Executive Public Economics Certificate Program for Senior Executives, Class 24, organized by the King Prajadhipok’s Institute at the Sukothai Thammathirat Room, King Prajadhipok’s Institute, Chaeng Watthana Government Complex.
In this discussion, Dr. Thongdee exchanged views with Mr. Thawatchai Setthachinda, Secretary-General of the Thai Chamber of Commerce and the Board of Trade of Thailand, and Mr. Yan Yong Thai-Jaroen, representative of the Thai Bankers' Association, with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chomphunut Kosalakan Penpunwiwat serving as the moderator.
The lecture aimed to reflect the role of the private sector in driving Thailand's economy through mechanisms of cooperation between the public and private sectors, particularly the role of the joint private sector committee from three institutions (JCC), which serves as a central platform for proposing solutions to economic, trade, investment issues, and enhancing the nation’s competitiveness.
Dr. Thongdee reflected on the global economic outlook for 2026, which remains fragile amidst geopolitical challenges, trade wars, currency fluctuations, energy issues, and the transition to an AI era, emphasizing that the Thai industrial sector must rapidly adapt to Smart Industry by leveraging digital and AI technologies to increase productivity along with developing workforce skills, fostering innovation, and elevating SMEs to ownership of brands and intellectual property.
In addition, he proposed the “Reinvent Thailand” initiative through cooperation between the public and private sectors to create a new engine for national economic growth, such as energy structure reform, promotion of PPP projects, developing digital and AI personnel, water management, enhancing transparency, and driving sustainable and inclusive growth.
The Federation of Thai Industries remains committed to serving as a crucial mechanism for linking the public and private sectors to jointly formulate economic policies and propel Thailand toward stable and sustainable growth in the future.
More than 113 attendees, including senior executives from government agencies, private sectors, and civil society, participated in the lecture.
