เมื่อวันที่ 7 เมษายน 2569 นายณรงค์ฤทธิ์ พานิชชีวะ รองประธานสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) และประธานสายงานสมาชิกสัมพันธ์ เป็นผู้แทน ส.อ.ท. เข้าร่วมงานแถลงข่าวการบูรณาการความร่วมมือภาคการท่องเที่ยวและบริการ เพื่อรองรับการจัดงานพืชสวนโลก2569 จังหวัดอุดรธานี ร่วมกับพันธมิตรภาคีเครือข่าย 15 หน่วยงาน ทั้งในประเทศและต่างประเทศ โดยสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทยเข้าร่วมในฐานะภาคเอกชนและเครือข่ายธุรกิจ
การแถลงข่าวครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อสะท้อนความร่วมมือและความพร้อมในการจัดงานพืชสวนโลก ซึ่งกำหนดจัดขึ้นระหว่างวันที่ 1 พฤศจิกายน 2569 ถึงวันที่ 14 มีนาคม 2570 รวมระยะเวลา 134 วัน ณ พื้นที่ชุ่มน้ำหนองแด ตำบลกุดสระ อำเภอเมืองอุดรธานี จังหวัดอุดรธานี บนพื้นที่จัดงานประมาณ 1,030 ไร่ หรือราว 1.65 ล้านตารางเมตร
ภายในงานจะมีการจัดสรรพื้นที่ออกเป็น 6 โซน ครอบคลุมโซนพืชชุ่มน้ำและกิจกรรมหลากหลาย เพื่อรองรับนักท่องเที่ยวทั้งชาวไทยและชาวต่างชาติที่คาดว่าจะเดินทางเข้าร่วมงาน พร้อมทั้งช่วยกระตุ้นเศรษฐกิจและสร้างรายได้ให้แก่จังหวัดอุดรธานีในระยะยาวต่อไป
On April 7, 2026, Mr. Narongrit Panichchiva, Vice Chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) and Chairman of the Membership Relations Division, represented FTI at a press conference on the integration of cooperation in the tourism and service sectors to support the upcoming World Horticultural Expo 2026 in Udon Thani Province, together with partner networks from 15 agencies, both domestically and internationally. The Federation of Thai Industries participated as a private sector and business network.
The objective of this press conference was to reflect the collaboration and preparedness for the World Horticultural Expo, which is scheduled to be held from November 1, 2026, to March 14, 2027, for a total duration of 134 days at the Nong Da Wetland area in Kut Sra Sub-district, Mueang Udon Thani District, Udon Thani Province, covering approximately 1,030 rai or about 1.65 million square meters.
The event will allocate the area into six zones, covering wetland plants and various activities to accommodate both Thai and foreign tourists expected to attend the event, while also helping to stimulate the economy and generate long-term income for Udon Thani Province.
