เมื่อวันที่ 24 เมษายน 2569 นายสุพจน์ สุขพิศาล ประธานกิตติมศักดิ์กลุ่มอุตสาหกรรมชิ้นส่วนและอะไหล่ยานยนต์ ร่วมเป็นวิทยากรในหัวข้อ “The Great Shift: ปรับทิศทางจากชิ้นส่วนยานยนต์สู่เครื่องมือแพทย์” ภายในงานประชุมวิชาการประจำปี สวทช. ครั้งที่ 21 (NAC2026) จัดโดย สำนักงานพัฒนาวิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยีแห่งชาติ (สวทช.) ร่วมกับสถาบันนวัตกรรมเพื่ออุตสาหกรรม (สนอ.) สภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) ณ อาคารศูนย์ประชุมฯ อาคาร CC (อาคาร 14) อุทยานวิทยาศาสตร์ประเทศไทย
ภายในงาน ได้รับเกียรติจาก ศ.ดร.นพ.ยงยุทธ ศิริวัฒนอักษร ผู้อำนวยการโรงพยาบาลศิริราช มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล นพ.พนัส บิณศิรวาณิช รองผู้อำนวยการโรงพยาบาลรามาธิบดี มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล และ รศ.ดร.นพ.ภาธร ภรมย์ไชย รองคณบดีฝ่ายวางแผนยุทธศาสตร์และพัฒนาคุณภาพ คณะแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น ร่วมแลกเปลี่ยนความคิดเห็น อีกทั้งได้รับเกียรติจาก รองศาสตราจารย์ ดร.เติมศักดิ์ ศรีคิรินทร์ ผู้อำนวยการศูนย์เทคโนโลยีโลหะและวัสดุแห่งชาติ (MTEC) และ ดร.เจนกฤษณ์ คณาธารณา รองผู้อำนวยการใหญ่ และรักษาการผู้อำนวยการสถาบันนวัตกรรมเพื่ออุตสาหกรรม ส.อ.ท. ร่วมกล่าวเปิดงาน
นายสุพจน์ ได้นำเสนอภาพรวมอุตสาหกรรมชิ้นส่วนและอะไหล่ยานยนต์ไทยตั้งแต่อดีตจนถึงปัจจุบัน รวมถึงผลกระทบจากการเปลี่ยนผ่านสู่อุตสาหกรรมยานยนต์ไฟฟ้า (EV) ซึ่งส่งผลให้ผู้ประกอบการจำเป็นต้องเร่งปรับตัว โดยการเปลี่ยนผ่านอุตสาหกรรมชิ้นส่วน (Parts Transformation) ไปสู่การผลิตเครื่องมือแพทย์ ถือเป็นกลไกสำคัญที่จะช่วยยกระดับผู้ผลิตชิ้นส่วนไทยเข้าสู่อุตสาหกรรมใหม่ที่มีมูลค่าสูง โดยอาศัยองค์ความรู้ด้านวิศวกรรมเชิงกล (Mechanic) ที่สามารถต่อยอดสู่การผลิตเครื่องมือแพทย์บางประเภทได้
ขณะเดียวกัน เครือข่ายโรงพยาบาลของไทยในปัจจุบันอยู่ระหว่างการขยายและพัฒนาอย่างต่อเนื่อง เพื่อรองรับความต้องการด้านสาธารณสุขที่เพิ่มขึ้น และยกระดับโรงพยาบาลภาครัฐสู่มาตรฐานสากล ควบคู่กับการลดต้นทุนและลดการนำเข้าเครื่องมือแพทย์จากต่างประเทศ จึงเห็นว่า การสนับสนุนผู้ประกอบการชิ้นส่วนไทยที่มีศักยภาพให้สามารถต่อยอดสู่การผลิตเครื่องมือแพทย์ เป็นแนวทางสำคัญที่จะช่วยสร้างมูลค่าทางเศรษฐกิจภายในประเทศ โดยสามารถเริ่มจากอุปกรณ์ประเภทครุภัณฑ์ภายในโรงพยาบาล ซึ่งเป็นการนำจุดแข็งของอุตสาหกรรมชิ้นส่วนไทยมาต่อยอดได้อย่างเป็นรูปธรรม
ทั้งนี้ การผลักดันแนวคิดดังกล่าวให้เกิดขึ้นจริง จำเป็นต้องอาศัยความร่วมมืออย่างต่อเนื่องระหว่างผู้ประกอบการภาคอุตสาหกรรมและเครือข่ายผู้ให้บริการทางการแพทย์ เพื่อเตรียมความพร้อมให้ประเทศไทยก้าวสู่การเป็นศูนย์กลางสุขภาพนานาชาติ (Medical Hub) และสร้างห่วงโซ่อุปทานภายในประเทศได้อย่างยั่งยืน
On April 24, 2026, Mr. Supach Sukphisan, Honorary Chairman of the Automotive Parts and Accessories Industry Group, participated as a speaker on the topic “The Great Shift: Transitioning from Automotive Parts to Medical Devices” at the 21st Annual Conference of NSTDA (NAC2026) organized by the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) in collaboration with the Industrial Innovation Institute (I3) and the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) at the CC Conference Center (Building 14), Science Park Thailand.
The event featured distinguished attendees including Prof. Dr. Yongyuth Sirivatanamongkol, Director of Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, Dr. Panas Binserivanich, Deputy Director of Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pathorn Phromchai, Deputy Dean for Strategic Planning and Quality Development, Faculty of Medicine, Khon Kaen University, who exchanged ideas on the topic. Furthermore, it was honored by the presence of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Teerasak Srikhirin, Director of the Metal and Materials Technology Center (MTEC), and Dr. Jengkrit Kanatharana, Deputy Director-General and Acting Director of the Industrial Innovation Institute, FTI, who delivered opening remarks.
Mr. Supach provided an overview of the Thai automotive parts and accessories industry from the past to the present, including the impact from the transition to electric vehicle (EV) industry, which necessitates operators to expedite their adaptation process. The transformation of the parts industry towards the production of medical devices is considered a key mechanism to elevate Thai component manufacturers into a new high-value industry by leveraging mechanical engineering knowledge that can be extended to the production of certain types of medical devices.
At the same time, the network of Thai hospitals is currently expanding and developing continuously to accommodate the increasing demands for public health while elevating public hospitals to international standards, alongside reducing costs and dependence on imports of medical devices. Therefore, supporting potential Thai component manufacturers in advancing to the production of medical devices is an important pathway to enhance economic value domestically, starting from hospital equipment, which represents a tangible use of the strengths of the Thai component industry.
To realize this approach, continuous cooperation between industrial operators and the healthcare service network is essential to prepare Thailand to become an international medical hub and create a sustainable domestic supply chain.
