เมื่อวันที่ 9–10 เมษายน 2569 นายเกรียงไกร เธียรนุกุล ประธานสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) พร้อมด้วยนายชาติชาย พานิชชีวะ และนายธนารักษ์ พงษ์เภตรา รองประธาน ส.อ.ท. รวมถึงคณะกรรมการบริหาร ส.อ.ท. ร่วมเป็นเจ้าภาพจัดการประชุม The 5th General Meeting of Kankeiren ABC Platform โดยมี Mr. Masayoshi Matsumoto ประธานสหพันธ์เศรษฐกิจคันไซ เป็นประธานร่วม พร้อมด้วยผู้แทนจากประเทศสมาชิกอาเซียนเข้าร่วมการประชุม ณ โรงแรมอินเตอร์คอนติเนนตัล กรุงเทพฯ
การประชุมครั้งนี้นับเป็นการประชุมสามัญประจำปีครั้งที่ 5 ของแพลตฟอร์มความร่วมมือทางธุรกิจในเอเชีย (Asia Business Creation: ABC Platform) ซึ่งริเริ่มโดยสหพันธ์เศรษฐกิจคันไซ เพื่อส่งเสริมความร่วมมือทางเศรษฐกิจในภูมิภาค
ภายในที่ประชุม มีการรายงานความคืบหน้าของคณะทำงานย่อย (Working Group) รวมถึงการดำเนินงานภายใต้โครงการ ABC Challenge Support Program ที่มุ่งสนับสนุนผู้ประกอบการ SMEs ในประเทศสมาชิกอาเซียน ให้สามารถแสวงหาโอกาสทางธุรกิจในภูมิภาคคันไซ
นอกจากนี้ เมื่อวันที่ 10 เมษายน 2569 ยังได้มีการประชุมหารือระดับผู้บริหาร (Top-Level Meeting) ระหว่าง Kansai Economic Federation (Kankeiren) และ ส.อ.ท. โดยได้หารือในประเด็นสำคัญ ได้แก่ การพัฒนาทักษะแรงงานขั้นสูง การแลกเปลี่ยนเทคโนโลยีด้าน Smart Industry ตลอดจนการพัฒนาเทคโนโลยีชีวภาพทางการแพทย์และอุตสาหกรรม เพื่อยกระดับความร่วมมือระหว่างไทยและญี่ปุ่นในอนาคต
On April 9–10, 2026, Mr. Kriangkrai Theeranukul, Chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), along with Mr. Chatichai Panichcheewa and Mr. Thanarak Pongpetrak, Vice Chairmen of FTI, and the FTI Executive Board members, co-hosted the 5th General Meeting of the Kankeiren ABC Platform, with Mr. Masayoshi Matsumoto, Chairman of the Kansai Economic Federation, serving as co-chair. Representatives from ASEAN member countries also participated in the meeting, held at the InterContinental Bangkok Hotel.
This meeting marked the 5th annual general meeting of the Asia Business Creation (ABC) Platform, initiated by the Kansai Economic Federation to promote economic cooperation in the region.
During the meeting, progress reports from the Working Group were presented, along with updates on the implementation of the ABC Challenge Support Program aimed at supporting SMEs in ASEAN member countries to seek business opportunities in the Kansai region.
Additionally, on April 10, 2026, a Top-Level Meeting took place between the Kansai Economic Federation (Kankeiren) and FTI, discussing key issues including advanced workforce skill development, technology exchange in Smart Industry, as well as the development of biomedical and industrial biotechnology to elevate cooperation between Thailand and Japan in the future.
