เมื่อวันที่ 31 มีนาคม 2569 นายเกรียงไกร เธียรนุกุล ประธานสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) ร่วมปาฐกถาพิเศษในหัวข้อ “ทางรอดอุตสาหกรรมไทย: พลิกยุทธศาสตร์ร่วมมหาวิทยาลัย–เอกชน สร้างเศรษฐกิจแห่งอนาคต” ภายในงาน Mahidol University Annual Press Conference 2026 “MU Synergy: Real World Impact in Action” ณ ห้องประชุม Chadra ชั้น 2 โรงแรมสยามเคมปินสกี้ กรุงเทพฯ
นายเกรียงไกร กล่าวว่า อุตสาหกรรมไทยกำลังเผชิญความท้าทายจากการแข่งขันระดับโลก เทคโนโลยีที่เปลี่ยนแปลงอย่างรวดเร็ว และข้อจำกัดด้านผลิตภาพแรงงาน จึงจำเป็นต้องปรับจาก “การผลิตที่แข่งขันด้านต้นทุน” ไปสู่ “การสร้างมูลค่าด้วยนวัตกรรม” โดยอาศัยความร่วมมือเชิงยุทธศาสตร์ระหว่างมหาวิทยาลัยและภาคเอกชน เพื่อเชื่อมโยงองค์ความรู้ งานวิจัย และเทคโนโลยีสู่การใช้งานจริง พร้อมเน้นย้ำถึงความสำคัญของกลไกสนับสนุน อาทิ ความร่วมมือระหว่างภาครัฐและเอกชน การส่งเสริม Startup และ Deep Tech การสร้างพื้นที่ทดลอง (Sandbox) และการพัฒนานโยบายที่เอื้อต่อการลงทุน
ทั้งนี้ ศาสตราจารย์ นายแพทย์ปิยะมิตร ศรีธรา อธิการบดีมหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล ได้แถลงทิศทางและวิสัยทัศน์ “MU SYNERGY: Real World Impact in Action” เพื่อประกาศยุทธศาสตร์การยกระดับการศึกษาและงานวิจัย ปี 2569 มุ่งส่งต่อความสำเร็จสู่การพัฒนาประเทศ โดยชูโมเดลการดำเนินงานที่เน้นการลดข้อจำกัดของงานวิจัย มุ่งลงมือปฏิบัติจริง และเร่งเปลี่ยนองค์ความรู้สู่ผลลัพธ์ทางเศรษฐกิจที่จับต้องได้
นอกจากนี้ มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดลยังได้สร้างความร่วมมือกับภาคเอกชนชั้นนำ อาทิ WHA Corporation, สภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย, Siam AI Corporation, Siam Bioscience และ Betagro เพื่อผลักดันให้นวัตกรรมสามารถนำไปใช้ประโยชน์ได้จริง เสริมสร้างความเข้มแข็งทางเศรษฐกิจ และยกระดับขีดความสามารถของประเทศไทยในการรับมือกับความผันผวนของเศรษฐกิจโลกอย่างยั่งยืน
On March 31, 2026, Mr. Kriangkrai Theeranu-kul, Chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), delivered a keynote speech on the topic “Survival of Thai Industry: Transforming Strategies through University and Private Sector Collaboration to Create Future Economies” at the Mahidol University Annual Press Conference 2026 “MU Synergy: Real World Impact in Action” held in Chadra Room, 2nd Floor, Siam Kempinski Hotel, Bangkok.
Mr. Kriangkrai stated that the Thai industry is facing challenges from global competition, rapidly changing technologies, and labor productivity limitations, necessitating a shift from “cost-competitive production” to “value creation through innovation.” This requires strategic collaboration between universities and the private sector to connect knowledge, research, and technology to practical applications, while emphasizing the importance of support mechanisms such as cooperation between the public and private sectors, the promotion of startups and deep tech, the creation of sandbox areas, and the development of investment-friendly policies.
Furthermore, Professor Dr. Piyamitr Sritara, President of Mahidol University, announced the direction and vision “MU SYNERGY: Real World Impact in Action” to declare the strategy for enhancing education and research in 2026, aiming to translate successes into national development. The operational model focuses on reducing limitations of research, emphasizing hands-on practices, and accelerating the transformation of knowledge into tangible economic outcomes.
In addition, Mahidol University has established collaborations with leading private sector entities such as WHA Corporation, Federation of Thai Industries, Siam AI Corporation, Siam Bioscience, and Betagro to ensure that innovations can be practically implemented, strengthening economic resilience and enhancing Thailand's capacity to sustainably cope with global economic fluctuations.
