เมื่อวันที่ 25 มีนาคม 2569 นายสุพจน์ สุขพิศาล ประธานคลัสเตอร์อุตสาหกรรมขนส่งทางราง เป็นผู้แทนสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย เข้าร่วมลงนามบันทึกข้อตกลงความร่วมมือ (MOU) ระหว่างสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย กับสถาบันวิจัยและพัฒนาเทคโนโลยีระบบราง (องค์การมหาชน) (สทร.) โดยมี ดร.เพียงออ เลาหะวิไลย ผู้อำนวยการสถาบันฯ ร่วมลงนาม เพื่อขับเคลื่อนการพัฒนาอุตสาหกรรมระบบรางของประเทศ
ทั้งนี้ ได้รับเกียรติจาก ผศ. พิศิษฐ์ แสง-ชูโต กรรมการผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิ สทร. และนายอนุกูล แต้มประเสริฐ ประธานกลุ่มอุตสาหกรรมการบินและอวกาศ รวมถึงคณะกรรมการภายใต้คลัสเตอร์อุตสาหกรรมขนส่งทางราง ร่วมเป็นสักขีพยาน ณ ห้องประชุม M1 สถาบันวิจัยและพัฒนาเทคโนโลยีระบบราง (องค์การมหาชน)
ความร่วมมือดังกล่าว ส.อ.ท. มุ่งผลักดันผู้ประกอบการไทยให้สามารถเข้าสู่ห่วงโซ่อุปทานของอุตสาหกรรมระบบรางได้อย่างเป็นรูปธรรม ผ่านการเชื่อมโยงภาคอุตสาหกรรมเข้ากับงานวิจัยและพัฒนาเทคโนโลยีขั้นสูง เพื่อให้เกิดการนำผลงานวิจัยไปใช้จริงในภาคการผลิต การประกอบ และการซ่อมบำรุง พร้อมทั้งสนับสนุนการเพิ่มสัดส่วนการใช้วัสดุและการผลิตภายในประเทศ (Local Content) ให้ได้ถึงร้อยละ 70 ซึ่งเป็นกลไกสำคัญในการยกระดับขีดความสามารถของอุตสาหกรรมไทยในระยะยาว
การลงนามครั้งนี้ นับเป็นก้าวสำคัญในการยกระดับศักยภาพประเทศ สู่การเป็นฐานการผลิตและพัฒนาเทคโนโลยีระบบรางของภูมิภาค ควบคู่กับการพัฒนาโครงสร้างพื้นฐาน เสริมสร้างความสามารถในการแข่งขันในระดับสากล และวางรากฐานสู่การพึ่งพาตนเองด้านเทคโนโลยีอย่างยั่งยืนในอนาคต
On March 25, 2026, Mr. Supach Sukpisan, Chairman of the Rail Transport Industry Cluster, represented the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) in signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Rail System Technology Research and Development Institute (Public Organization) (RDI), alongside Dr. Piang-Oo Lahaweilai, Director of the Institute, to drive the development of the country’s rail system industry.
The signing was honored by Assoc. Prof. Phisit Sangchuto, esteemed committee member of RDI, and Mr. Anukul Tamprasert, Chairman of the Aviation and Aerospace Industry Group, along with the committee members under the Rail Transport Industry Cluster, serving as witnesses at the M1 meeting room of the Rail System Technology Research and Development Institute (Public Organization).
This collaboration aims for the FTI to support Thai operators in entering the supply chain of the rail system industry concretely by linking the industrial sector with advanced research and technology development, enabling the actual implementation of research results in manufacturing, assembly, and maintenance, while promoting an increase in the use of materials and domestic production (Local Content) to reach 70%, a crucial mechanism for enhancing the competitiveness of the Thai industry in the long term.
This signing marks an important step in enhancing the country's potential to become a manufacturing and technology development hub for rail systems within the region, in parallel with infrastructure development, boosting international competitiveness, and laying a foundation for sustainable technological self-reliance in the future.
