วันที่ 18 มีนาคม 2569 นายเกรียงไกร เธียรนุกุล ประธานสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) พร้อมด้วยนายวิเชาวน์ รักพงษ์ไพโรจน์ นายอรินทร์ จิรา และนายนาวา จันทนสุรคน รองประธาน ส.อ.ท. ร่วมให้การต้อนรับและหารือกับนางสาวจุลีพจน์ อิศรางกูร ณ อยุธยา รองอธิบดีกรมอเมริกาและแปซิฟิกใต้ กระทรวงการต่างประเทศ เนื่องในโอกาสเข้ารับตำแหน่งใหม่ ณ ห้องมงคลสุธี ส.อ.ท.
การหารือครั้งนี้ ทั้งสองฝ่ายได้แลกเปลี่ยนความคิดเห็นเกี่ยวกับสถานการณ์ภูมิรัฐศาสตร์ (Geopolitics) ที่มีความผันผวนในปัจจุบัน ซึ่งส่งผลกระทบต่อทิศทางเศรษฐกิจและการค้าโลก โดยเฉพาะนโยบาย “America First” ของสหรัฐอเมริกา และแนวโน้มการใช้มาตรการทางการค้า อาทิ มาตรการภาษีตอบโต้ (Reciprocal Tariff) และมาตรา 301 ซึ่งอาจส่งผลกระทบต่อการส่งออกของไทย ต้นทุนการดำเนินธุรกิจของภาคเอกชน ตลอดจนห่วงโซ่อุปทานระหว่างประเทศ
นอกจากนี้ ทั้งสองฝ่ายยังได้หารือถึงโอกาสและแนวทางการขยายการลงทุนของไทยในสหรัฐอเมริกา รวมถึงการเปิดตลาดใหม่ในภูมิภาคลาตินอเมริกา ซึ่งเป็นภูมิภาคที่มีศักยภาพและมีแนวโน้มการเติบโตทางเศรษฐกิจอย่างต่อเนื่อง โดยเห็นพ้องถึงความสำคัญของการเสริมสร้างความร่วมมือระหว่างภาครัฐและภาคเอกชน เพื่อรองรับความท้าทายและใช้ประโยชน์จากโอกาสทางเศรษฐกิจในบริบทโลกที่เปลี่ยนแปลงอย่างรวดเร็ว
ทั้งนี้ กองลาตินอเมริกา กรมอเมริกาและแปซิฟิกใต้ มีกำหนดจัดสัมมนา “Decoding Latin America: กลยุทธ์และความท้าทายของการขยายตลาดไทยในลาตินอเมริกา” ในวันที่ 27 มีนาคม 2569 ณ กระทรวงการต่างประเทศ เพื่อให้ข้อมูลเชิงลึกและแนวทางการขยายตลาดแก่ภาคเอกชนไทยต่อไป
On March 18, 2026, Mr. Kriengkrai Thiennukul, Chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), along with Vice Chairmen Mr. Vichawana Rukphongphairoj, Mr. Arin Jira, and Mr. Nava Chantanasurakorn, welcomed and held discussions with Ms. Julipaj Intharakul Na Ayutthaya, Deputy Director-General of the Department of American and South Pacific, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on the occasion of her new appointment at the Mongkolsuthee Room, FTI.
During this meeting, both parties exchanged views on the current volatile geopolitical situation, which affects the direction of the global economy and trade, particularly the “America First” policy of the United States and the trend of implementing trade measures such as Reciprocal Tariffs and Section 301, which may impact Thailand's exports, private sector business costs, as well as international supply chains.
Moreover, both parties discussed opportunities and strategies for expanding Thai investments in the United States, as well as opening new markets in the Latin American region, which possesses potential and continuous economic growth. They agreed on the importance of strengthening cooperation between the government and private sectors to address challenges and leverage economic opportunities in the rapidly changing global context.
The Latin America Division of the Department of American and South Pacific is scheduled to hold a seminar titled “Decoding Latin America: Strategies and Challenges of Expanding Thai Markets in Latin America” on March 27, 2026, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to provide in-depth information and strategies for Thai private sector market expansion.
