เมื่อวันที่ 27 กุมภาพันธ์ 2569 นายเกรียงไกร เธียรนุกุล ประธานสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) เข้าร่วมงานเลี้ยงรับประทานอาหารค่ำ เนื่องในโอกาสการเดินทางเยือนประเทศไทยของคณะผู้บริหาร Otis McAllister, Inc. จาก สหรัฐอเมริกา โดยมีนางศุภจี สุธรรมพันธ์ รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงพาณิชย์ เป็นประธานในงาน ณ Royal Osha ถนนวิทยุ
การเดินทางเยือนประเทศไทยในครั้งนี้ เป็นผลจากโครงการ Exclusive Incoming Mission ของกระทรวงพาณิชย์ ซึ่งมุ่งส่งเสริมการเจรจาจับคู่ธุรกิจระหว่างคณะผู้บริหารจากสหรัฐฯ กับผู้ประกอบการไทยในกลุ่มสินค้าเกษตรและอาหาร เพื่อขยายโอกาสการส่งออกสินค้าไทยสู่ตลาดสหรัฐอเมริกา
ทั้งนี้ โครงการดังกล่าวเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของแผนงานเชิงรุกในการเพิ่มส่วนแบ่งทางการค้าให้แก่ผู้ประกอบการไทย ท่ามกลางสถานการณ์การปรับขึ้นภาษีนำเข้าของสหรัฐฯ พร้อมทั้งสร้างโอกาสในการส่งออกสินค้าไทยที่มีศักยภาพ โดยเฉพาะสินค้าในกลุ่มเกษตรและอาหาร ซึ่งสหรัฐฯ ยังมีความจำเป็นต้องนำเข้าเนื่องจากไม่สามารถผลิตได้เพียงพอ อันจะช่วยเพิ่มทางเลือกให้แก่ผู้บริโภคในสหรัฐฯ และส่งเสริมความร่วมมือทางเศรษฐกิจระหว่างไทยและสหรัฐอเมริกาอย่างต่อเนื่อง
สำหรับ Otis McAllister, Inc. เป็นผู้นำเข้าและดำเนินธุรกิจในฐานะตัวกลางซื้อ-ขายสินค้าให้แก่ลูกค้าทั่วโลก โดยมีธุรกิจหลักครอบคลุมกลุ่ม Foodservices และ Travel Retail อาทิ การนำสินค้าเข้าจำหน่ายในร้านปลอดอากร (Duty Free) ภายในสนามบิน
On February 27, 2026, Mr. Kriangkrai Tiennukul, Chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), attended a dinner reception held in honor of the visiting executives from Otis McAllister, Inc. from the United States. The event was presided over by Ms. Suphajee Suthumpun, Minister of Commerce, at Royal Osha, Wireless Road.
This visit to Thailand is a result of the Ministry of Commerce's Exclusive Incoming Mission project, which aims to promote business matching between executives from the United States and Thai operators in the agricultural and food sectors, in order to expand the export opportunities for Thai products in the U.S. market.
This project is part of a proactive plan to increase the trade share for Thai operators, amidst the rising import taxes in the United States, while also creating export opportunities for high-potential Thai goods, particularly in the agricultural and food sectors, which the U.S. still needs to import due to insufficient domestic production. This initiative will enhance consumer choices in the U.S. and promote ongoing economic cooperation between Thailand and the United States.
Otis McAllister, Inc. is an importer and operates as an intermediary in the buying and selling of products for customers worldwide, primarily focusing on Foodservices and Travel Retail, including the import of goods for sale in duty-free shops at airports.
