วันอังคารที่ 24 กุมภาพันธ์ 2569 นายสุรพงษ์ ไพสิฐพัฒนพงษ์ ที่ปรึกษาประธานและโฆษกกลุ่มอุตสาหกรรมยานยนต์ สภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) เปิดเผยตัวเลขการผลิต ยอดขาย และการส่งออกรถยนต์และรถจักรยานยนต์ เดือนมกราคม 2569 ว่าผลิตรถยนต์ 118,386 คัน เพิ่มขึ้นร้อยละ 10.53 ผลิตรถยนต์นั่งไฟฟ้า 2,471 คัน เพิ่มขึ้นร้อยละ 48.41 ผลิตรถกระบะไฟฟ้า 459 คัน เพิ่มขึ้นร้อยละ 100 ขาย 73,936 คัน เพิ่มขึ้นร้อยละ 53.74 ขายรถยนต์นั่งไฟฟ้า (BEV) 31,859 คัน เพิ่มขึ้นร้อยละ 273.38 ขายรถกระบะไฟฟ้า 79 คัน เพิ่มขึ้นร้อยละ 1,875 ส่งออก 58,405 คัน ลดลงร้อยละ 6.28 ส่งออกรถยนต์นั่งไฟฟ้า 1,265 คัน เพิ่มขึ้นร้อยละ 100 ส่งออกรถกระบะไฟฟ้า 59 คัน เพิ่มขึ้นร้อยละ 100
การผลิต
จำนวนรถยนต์ทั้งหมดที่ผลิตได้ในเดือนมกราคม 2569 มีทั้งสิ้น 118,386 คัน เพิ่มขึ้นจากเดือนธันวาคม 2568 ร้อยละ 3.98 และเพิ่มขึ้นจากเดือนมกราคม 2568 ร้อยละ 10.53 เพราะผลิตรถยนต์นั่งเพื่อส่งออกเพิ่มขึ้นร้อยละ 46.56 และผลิตรถกระบะเพื่อขายในประเทศเพิ่มขึ้นร้อยละ 153.57 รวมทั้งผลิตรถบรรทุกเพื่อขายในประเทศเพิ่มขึ้นร้อยละ 76.18 ตามการลงทุนของภาคเอกชนในไตรมาสที่ 4 ปี 2568 และผลิตรถยนต์ไฟฟ้าชดเชยการนำเข้ามาขายในปี 2567 – 2568 เป็นปีแรกจากโครงการ EV 3.5
รถยนต์นั่ง เดือนมกราคม 2569 ผลิตได้ 41,535 คัน เพิ่มขึ้นจากเดือนมกราคม 2568 ร้อยละ 16.30 โดยแบ่งเป็น
• รถยนต์นั่ง Internal Combustion Engine มีจำนวน 17,991 คัน ลดลงจากเดือนมกราคม 2568 ร้อยละ 12.65
• รถยนต์นั่ง Battery Electric Vehicle มีจำนวน 2,471 คัน เพิ่มขึ้นจากเดือนมกราคม 2568 ร้อยละ 48.41
• รถยนต์นั่ง Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle มีจำนวน 1,725 คัน ลดลงจากเดือนมกราคม 2568 ร้อยละ 20.32
• รถยนต์นั่ง Hybrid Electric Vehicle มีจำนวน 19,348 คัน เพิ่มขึ้นจากเดือนมกราคม 2568 ร้อยละ 21.58
รถยนต์โดยสารขนาดต่ำกว่า 10 ตัน และมากกว่า 10 ตัน ขึ้นไป ในเดือนมกราคม 2569 ไม่มีการผลิต
รถยนต์บรรทุก เดือนมกราคม 2569 ผลิตได้ทั้งหมด 76,851 คัน เพิ่มขึ้นจากเดือนมกราคม 2568 ร้อยละ 7.65
รถกระบะขนาด 1 ตัน เดือนมกราคม 2569 ผลิตได้ทั้งหมด 75,468 คัน เพิ่มขึ้นจากเดือนมกราคม 2568 ร้อยละ 6.89 โดยแบ่งเป็น
• รถกระบะบรรทุก 10,795 คัน เพิ่มขึ้นจากเดือนมกราคม 2568 ร้อยละ 5.08
• รถกระบะดับเบิลแค็บ 50,834 คัน เพิ่มขึ้นจากเดือนมกราคม 2568 ร้อยละ 11.53
• รถกระบะดับเบิลแค็บ BEV 459 คัน เพิ่มขึ้นจากเดือนมกราคม 2568 ร้อยละ 100
• รถกระบะ PPV 13,380 คัน ลดลงจากเดือนมกราคม 2568 ร้อยละ 9.29
รถบรรทุกขนาดต่ำกว่า 5 ตัน - มากกว่า 10 ตัน เดือนมกราคม 2569 ผลิตได้ 1,383 คัน เพิ่มขึ้นจากเดือนมกราคม 2568 ร้อยละ 76.18
ผลิตเพื่อส่งออก
เดือนมกราคม 2569 ผลิตได้ 79,686 คัน เท่ากับร้อยละ 75.71 ของยอดการผลิตทั้งหมด เพิ่มขึ้นจากเดือนมกราคม 2568 ร้อยละ 6.19
รถยนต์นั่ง เดือนมกราคม 2569 ผลิตเพื่อการส่งออก 20,451 คัน เพิ่มขึ้นจากเดือนมกราคม 2568 ร้อยละ 46.56
รถกระบะขนาด 1 ตัน เดือนมกราคม 2569 มียอดการผลิตเพื่อการส่งออก 59,235 คัน ลดลงจากเดือนมกราคม 2568 ร้อยละ 3.04 โดยแบ่งเป็น
• รถกระบะบรรทุก 5,994 คัน เพิ่มขึ้นจากเดือนมกราคม 2568 ร้อยละ 14.30
• รถกระบะดับเบิลแค็บ 43,909 คัน เพิ่มขึ้นจากเดือนมกราคม 2568 ร้อยละ 2.91
• รถกระบะ PPV 9,332 คัน ลดลงจากเดือนมกราคม 2568 ร้อยละ 29.19
ผลิตเพื่อจำหน่ายในประเทศ
เดือนมกราคม 2569 ผลิตได้ 38,700 คัน เท่ากับร้อยละ 24.29 ของยอดการผลิตทั้งหมด เพิ่มขึ้นจากเดือนมกราคม 2568 ร้อยละ 20.71
รถยนต์นั่ง เดือนมกราคม 2569 ผลิตเพื่อจำหน่ายในประเทศ 21,084 คัน ลดลงจากเดือนมกราคม 2568 ร้อยละ 3.11
รถกระบะขนาด 1 ตัน เดือนมกราคม 2569 มียอดการผลิตเพื่อจำหน่ายในประเทศ 16,233 คัน เพิ่มขึ้นจากเดือนมกราคม 2568 ร้อยละ 70.62 ซึ่งแบ่งเป็น
• รถกระบะบรรทุก 4,801 คัน ลดลงจากเดือนมกราคม 2568 ร้อยละ 4.53
• รถกระบะดับเบิลแค็บ 7,384 คัน ลดลงจากเดือนมกราคม 2568 ร้อยละ 153.57
• รถกระบะ PPV 4,048 คัน เพิ่มขึ้นจากเดือนมกราคม 2568 ร้อยละ 157.34
รถยนต์โดยสารขนาดต่ำกว่า 10 ตัน และมากกว่า 10 ตัน ขึ้นไป ในเดือนมกราคม 2569 ไม่มีการผลิต
รถบรรทุกขนาดต่ำกว่า 5 ตัน - มากกว่า 10 ตัน เดือนมกราคม 2569 ผลิตได้ 1,383 คัน เพิ่มขึ้นจากเดือนมกราคม 2568 ร้อยละ 76.18
รถจักรยานยนต์
เดือนมกราคม 2569 ผลิตรถจักรยานยนต์ได้ทั้งสิ้น 201,007 คัน ลดลงจากเดือนมกราคม 2568 ร้อยละ 10.50 แยกเป็นรถจักรยานยนต์สำเร็จรูป (CBU) 166,394 คัน ลดลงจากปี 2568 ร้อยละ 6.43 และชิ้นส่วนประกอบรถจักรยานยนต์ (CKD) 34,613 คัน ลดลงจากปี 2568 ร้อยละ 25.99
ยอดขาย
ยอดขายรถยนต์ภายในประเทศของเดือนมกราคม 2569 มีจำนวนทั้งสิ้น 73,936 คัน ลดลงจากเดือนธันวาคม 2568 ร้อยละ 1.58 และ เพิ่มขึ้นจากเดือนมกราคม 2568 ร้อยละ 53.77 เพิ่มขึ้นจากการเร่งส่งมอบรถยนต์ไฟฟ้าในโครงการ EV 3.0 ซึ่งสิ้นสุดลง 2568 รวมทั้งเริ่มผลิตรถยนต์ไฟฟ้าชดเชยในอัตรา 2:1 ของโครงการ EV 3.5 ส่งผลยอดขายรถยนต์นั่งและรถ SUV เพิ่มขึ้นร้อยละ 76.2 และ 93.6 ตามลำดับ จากมกราคม 2568 แต่รถกระบะยังคงขายลดลงร้อยละ 5.5 จากมกราคม 2568 เพราะสถาบันการเงินยังเข้มงวดในการอนุมัติสินเชื่อ จากเศรษฐกิจในประเทศที่เติบโตในอัตราต่ำ กำลังซื้อของประชาชนยังคงอ่อนแอ ภาคอุตสาหกรรมยังใช้กำลังการผลิตไม่ถึง 60% ของกำลังการผลิตทั้งหมด
อย่างไรก็ตามเริ่มเห็นสัญญาณการฟื้นตัวทางเศรษฐกิจที่เติบโตมากกว่าที่คาดในอัตรา 2.5% ในไตรมาสที่ 4 ปี 2568 จากการลงทุนรวมที่ขยายตัว 8.1% โดยเป็นการลงทุนภาคเอกชนที่ขยายตัว 6.5% จากการปลดล็อกให้นักลงทุนมีความคล่องตัวมากขึ้นส่งผลให้การก่อสร้างโรงงานขยายตัวถึง 12.2% และจากภาครัฐที่เร่งลงทุนขยายตัว 13.3% รวมถึงมีการนำเข้าสินค้าที่ขยายตัว 12.8% โดยเฉพาะเครื่องจักรขยายตัว 21.8% คงต้องรอรัฐบาลใหม่ที่จะเข้ามาผลักดันการลงทุนที่ยื่นขอส่งเสริมการลงทุนสูงถึง 1.8 ล้านล้านบาทในปี 2568 ให้ลงทุนเร็วขึ้นเพื่อสร้างงานสร้างรายได้ให้คนไทยมากขึ้น เศรษฐกิจประเทศไทยจะได้เติบโตมากกว่า 5% เหมือนในอดีต
รถยนต์นั่งและรถยนต์นั่งตรวจการณ์ มีจำนวน 55,960 คัน เท่ากับร้อยละ 75.69 ของยอดขายทั้งหมด เพิ่มขึ้นจากเดือนเดียวกันในปีที่แล้วร้อยละ 83.21
• รถยนต์นั่งและรถยนต์นั่งตรวจการณ์สันดาปภายใน (ICE) 10,485 คัน เท่ากับร้อยละ 14.18 ของยอดขายทั้งหมด ลดลงจากเดือนเดียวกันปีที่แล้วที่ร้อยละ 12.24
• รถยนต์นั่งและรถยนต์นั่งตรวจการณ์ไฟฟ้า (BEV) 31,859 คัน เท่ากับร้อยละ 43.09 ของยอดขายทั้งหมด เพิ่มขึ้นจากเดือนเดียวกันปีที่แล้วที่ร้อยละ 353.90 สูงสุดตั้งแต่มีการบันทึกยอดขายรถยนต์ไฟฟ้าในประเทศไทย
• รถยนต์นั่งและรถยนต์นั่งตรวจการณ์ไฟฟ้าผสมแบบเสียบปลั๊ก (PHEV) 899 คัน เท่ากับร้อยละ 1.22 ของยอดขายทั้งหมด ลดลงจากเดือนเดียวกันปีที่แล้วร้อยละ 6.84
• รถยนต์นั่งและรถยนต์นั่งตรวจการณ์ REEV (Range-Extended Electric Vehicle) 63 คัน เท่ากับร้อยละ 0.09 ของยอดขายทั้งหมด เพิ่มขึ้นจากเดือนเดียวกันปีที่แล้วร้อยละ 100
• รถยนต์นั่งและรถยนต์นั่งตรวจการณ์ไฟฟ้าผสม (HEV) 12,654 คัน เท่ากับร้อยละ 17.11 ของยอดขายทั้งหมด เพิ่มขึ้นจากเดือนเดียวกันปีที่แล้วร้อยละ 19.23
รถกระบะมีจำนวน 11,507 คัน ลดลงจากเดือนเดียวกันในปีที่แล้วร้อยละ 6.12 รถกระบะไฟฟ้า (BEV) มีจำนวน 79 คัน เพิ่มขึ้นจากเดือนเดียวกันในปีที่แล้วร้อยละ 1,875 รถกระบะ REEV ไม่มียอดจำหน่าย รถ PPV มีจำนวน 4,132 คัน เพิ่มขึ้นจากเดือนเดียวกันในปีที่แล้วร้อยละ 30.88 รถบรรทุก 5 – 10 ตัน มีจำนวน 1,186 คัน เพิ่มขึ้นจากเดือนเดียวกันในปีที่แล้วร้อยละ 20.77 และรถประเภทอื่นๆ มีจำนวน 1,072 คัน ลดลงจากเดือนเดียวกันในปีที่แล้ว 5.72
ส่วนรถจักรยานยนต์ มียอดขาย 154,124 คัน เพิ่มขึ้นจากเดือนธันวาคม 2568 ร้อยละ 14.71 แต่ลดลงจากเดือนมกราคม 2568 ร้อยละ 1.42
การส่งออก
รถยนต์สำเร็จรูป
เดือนมกราคม 2569 ส่งออกได้ 58,405 คัน ลดลงจากเดือนมกราคม 2568 ร้อยละ 6.28 ต่ำสุดตั้งแต่เดือนพฤษภาคม 2565 หรือรอบ 45 เดือน จากการเลิกผลิตรถยนต์นั่งบางรุ่นเพื่อส่งออก และความเข้มงวดในการนำเข้ารถยนต์ที่ไม่มีอุปกรณ์ช่วยขับในด้านความปลอดภัยรวมทั้งการเข้มงวดการปล่อยคาร์บอน ส่งผลให้ส่งออกรถยนต์ลดลงในตลาดเอเชีย ตลาดแอฟริกา ตลาดอเมริกาเหนือ ตลาดอเมริกากลางและอเมริกาใต้ ประเภทรถยนต์ส่งออกเดือนมกราคม 2569 แบ่งเป็น ดังนี้
• รถกระบะ 36,478 คัน มีสัดส่วนร้อยละ 62.46 ของการส่งออกทั้งหมด ลดลงจากปี 2568 ร้อยละ 5.23
• รถกระบะ BEV 59 คัน มีสัดส่วนร้อยละ 0.10 ของการส่งออกทั้งหมด ในปี 2568 ไม่มีการส่งออก
• รถยนต์นั่ง ICE 6,770 คัน มีสัดส่วนร้อยละ 11.59 ของการส่งออกทั้งหมด ลดลงจากปี 2568ร้อยละ 48.52
• รถยนต์นั่ง BEV 1,265 คัน มีสัดส่วนร้อยละ 2.17 ของการส่งออกทั้งหมด ในปี 2568 ไม่มีการส่งออกรถยนต์นั่ง BEV
• รถยนต์นั่ง HEV 6,711 คัน มีสัดส่วนร้อยละ 11.49 ของการส่งออกทั้งหมด เพิ่มขึ้นจากปี 2568 ร้อยละ 170.93
• รถ PPV 7,122 คัน มีสัดส่วนร้อยละ 12.19 ของการส่งออกทั้งหมด ลดลงจากปี 2568 ร้อยละ 13.17
มูลค่าการส่งออกรถยนต์ 39,092.58 ล้านบาท ลดลงจากเดือนมกราคม 2568 ร้อยละ 5.68 แต่เครื่องยนต์และชิ้นส่วนส่งออกลดลง ดังนี้
• เครื่องยนต์ มีมูลค่าการส่งออก 2,869.03 ล้านบาท ลดลงจากเดือนมกราคม 2568 ร้อยละ 1.57
• ชิ้นส่วนรถยนต์อื่นๆ มีมูลค่าการส่งออก 14,470.14 ล้านบาท ลดลงจากเดือนมกราคม 2568 ร้อยละ 3.52
• อะไหล่รถยนต์ มีมูลค่าการส่งออก 1,786.29 ล้านบาท ลดลงจากเดือนมกราคม 2568 ร้อยละ 18.19
รวมมูลค่าส่งออกรถยนต์เดือนมกราคม 2569 เครื่องยนต์ ชิ้นส่วนรถยนต์ และอะไหล่ มีมูลค่า 58,218.04 ล้านบาท ลดลงจากเดือนมกราคม 2568 ร้อยละ 5.40
รถจักรยานยนต์
เดือนมกราคม 2569 มีจำนวนส่งออก 79,078 คัน (รวม CBU + CKD) เพิ่มขึ้นจากเดือนมกราคม 2568 ร้อยละ 8.49 โดยมีมูลค่า 5,351.75 ล้านบาท ลดลงจากเดือนมกราคม 2568 ร้อยละ 12.94
• ชิ้นส่วนรถจักรยานยนต์ มีมูลค่าการส่งออกทั้งสิ้น 171.89 ล้านบาท ลดลงจากเดือนมกราคม 2568 ร้อยละ 3.19
• อะไหล่รถจักรยานยนต์ มีมูลค่าการส่งออกทั้งสิ้น 226.27 ล้านบาท เพิ่มขึ้นจากเดือนมกราคม 2568 ร้อยละ 11.93
รวมมูลค่าการส่งออกรถจักรยานยนต์ เดือนมกราคม 2569 ชิ้นส่วนและอะไหล่รถจักรยานยนต์ 5,749.91 ล้านบาท ลดลงจากเดือนมกราคม 2568 ร้อยละ 11.91
เดือนมกราคม 2569 รวมมูลค่าการส่งออกรถยนต์สำเร็จรูป เครื่องยนต์ ชิ้นส่วนอื่น ๆ อะไหล่รถยนต์ รถจักรยานยนต์ ชิ้นส่วน และอะไหล่รถจักรยานยนต์ มีทั้งสิ้น 63,967.95 ล้านบาท ลดลงจากปี 2568 ร้อยละ 6.03
ข้อมูลจดทะเบียนที่ใช้เชื้อเพลิงต่างๆ เดือนมกราคม 2569 (เฉพาะ รย.1)
เดือนมกราคม 2569 มียานยนต์ใช้เชื้อเพลิงประเภทต่างๆ จำนวน 83,281 คัน โดยแบ่งเป็น
• ประเภทไฟฟ้า (BEV) มีจำนวน 40,442 คัน มีสัดส่วนร้อยละ 48.56 สูงสุดตั้งแต่บันทึกมา
• ประเภทน้ำมันเบนซิน มีจำนวน 10,935 คัน มีสัดส่วนร้อยละ 13.13
• ประเภทน้ำมันดีเซล มีจำนวน 12,760 มีสัดส่วนร้อยละ 15.32
• ประเภทน้ำมันผสมไฟฟ้า (HEV) มีจำนวน 17,164 คัน มีสัดส่วนร้อยละ 20.61
• ประเภทน้ำมันผสมไฟฟ้าแบบเสียบปลั๊ก (PHEV) มีจำนวน 1,975 คัน มีสัดส่วนร้อยละ 2.37
• ประเภทอื่นๆ มีจำนวน 5 คัน มีสัดส่วนร้อยละ 0.01
ยานยนต์ไฟฟ้าป้ายแดงประเภท BEV เดือนมกราคม 2569
เดือนมกราคม 2569 มียานยนต์ประเภทไฟฟ้า (BEV) จดทะเบียนใหม่มีจำนวน 45,668 คัน เพิ่มขึ้นจากเดือนมกราคมปีที่แล้วร้อยละ 210.43 โดยแบ่งเป็น
• รถยนต์นั่งและรถยนต์ประเภทต่างๆ มีทั้งสิ้น 42,136 คัน เพิ่มขึ้นจากเดือนมกราคม 2568 ร้อยละ 239.89
o รถยนต์นั่งจำนวน 40,443 คัน
o รถยนต์โดยสารไม่เกิน 7 คนจำนวน 1,674 คัน
o รถยนต์บริการธุรกิจจำนวน 10 คัน
o รถยนต์บริการทัศนาจรจำนวน 9 คัน
• รถกระบะ รถแวนมีทั้งสิ้น 73 คัน เพิ่มขึ้นจากเดือนมกราคม 2568 ร้อยละ 128.13
• รถจักรยานยนต์มีทั้งสิ้น 3,379 คัน เพิ่มขึ้นจากเดือนมกราคม 2568 ร้อยละ 49.32
o รถจักรยานยนต์ส่วนบุคคลจำนวน 3,379 คัน
• รถยนต์สามล้อมีทั้งสิ้น 7 คัน เพิ่มขึ้นจากเดือนมกราคม 2568 ร้อยละ 100
o รถยนต์สามล้อส่วนบุคคลจำนวน 7 คัน

เดือนมกราคม 2569 มียานยนต์ประเภทไฟฟ้า (HEV) จดทะเบียนใหม่มีจำนวน 17,224 คัน เพิ่มขึ้นจากเดือนมกราคมปีที่แล้วร้อยละ 27.16 โดยแบ่งเป็น
• รถยนต์นั่งและรถประเภทต่างๆ มีทั้งสิ้น 17,177 คัน เพิ่มขึ้นจากเดือนมกราคม 2568 ร้อยละ 27.55
o รถยนต์นั่งจำนวน 17,164 คัน
o รถยนต์โดยสารไม่เกิน 7 คนจำนวน 2 คัน
o รถยนต์บริการธุรกิจจำนวน 5 คัน
o รถยนต์บริการทัศนาจรจำนวน 6 คัน
• รถจักรยานยนต์มีทั้งสิ้น 47คัน ลดลงจากเดือนมกราคม 2568 ร้อยละ 39.74

เดือนมกราคม 2569 มียานยนต์ประเภทไฟฟ้า (PHEV) จดทะเบียนใหม่มีจำนวน 1,975 คัน เพิ่มขึ้นจากเดือนมกราคมปีที่แล้วร้อยละ 83.89 โดยแบ่งเป็น
• รถยนต์นั่งและรถประเภทต่างๆ มีทั้งสิ้น 1,975 คัน เพิ่มขึ้นจากเดือนมกราคมปีที่แล้วร้อยละ 83.89
o รถยนต์นั่งจำนวน 1,975 คัน
ยานยนต์ไฟฟ้าจดทะเบียนสะสมประเภท BEV ณ วันที่ 31 มกราคม 2569
ณ วันที่ 31 มกราคม 2569 ยานยนต์ไฟฟ้าจดทะเบียนสะสมประเภท BEV มีจำนวนทั้งสิ้น 418,046 คัน เพิ่มขึ้นจากปีที่แล้วร้อยละ 72.69 โดยแบ่งประเภทได้ ดังนี้
• รถยนต์นั่งและรถยนต์ประเภทต่างๆ มีทั้งสิ้น 322,655 คัน เพิ่มขึ้นจากช่วงเวลาเดียวกันปี 2568 ร้อยละ 88.01
o รถยนต์นั่งมีจำนวน 312,957 คัน เพิ่มขึ้นจากช่วงเวลาเดียวกันปี 2568 ร้อยละ 85.93
o รถยนต์โดยสารไม่เกิน 7 คนมีจำนวน 7,412 คัน เพิ่มขึ้นจากช่วงเวลาเดียวกันปี 2568 ร้อยละ 191.70
o รถยนต์บริการธุรกิจมีจำนวน 250 คัน เพิ่มขึ้นจากช่วงเวลาเดียวกันปี 2568 ร้อยละ 204.88

On Tuesday, February 24, 2026, Mr. Surapong Paisithpatthanapong, Advisor to the President and Spokesperson of the Automotive Industry Group, Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), disclosed production, sales, and export figures for automobiles and motorcycles for January 2026, stating that 118,386 units of automobiles were produced, representing an increase of 10.53%. Production of electric passenger vehicles reached 2,471 units, an increase of 48.41%. Production of electric pickup trucks totaled 459 units, doubling the previous figure. A total of 73,936 units were sold, representing an increase of 53.74%. Sales of Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs) amounted to 31,859 units, up 273.38%, while electric pickups accounted for 79 units, an increase of 1,875%. Exports totaled 58,405 units, down 6.28%, with 1,265 electric passenger vehicles exported, doubling the number from before and 59 electric pickups exported, also doubling the previous figures.
Production
In January 2026, a total of 118,386 automobiles were produced, a 3.98% increase from December 2025 and a 10.53% increase from January 2025, due to a 46.56% increase in the production of passenger vehicles for export and a 153.57% increase in the production of pickups for domestic sales. The production of trucks for domestic sales also rose by 76.18% in line with private sector investment in the fourth quarter of 2025. Additionally, the production of electric vehicles compensates for imports in 2026, marking the first year under the EV 3.5 scheme.
Passenger Cars: In January 2026, 41,535 units were produced, which is a 16.30% increase from January 2025 and broken down as follows:
• Internal Combustion Engine passenger cars totaled 17,991 units, a decrease of 12.65% from January 2025.
• Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs) accounted for 2,471 units, reflecting a 48.41% increase from January 2025.
• Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEVs) totaled 1,725 units, a decline of 20.32% from January 2025.
• Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEVs) accounted for 19,348 units, an increase of 21.58% from January 2025. No buses under 10 tons or over 10 tons were produced in January 2026.
Truck Production: A total of 76,851 trucks were produced, representing a 7.65% increase from January 2025.
In January 2026, the production of 1-ton pickups reached 75,468 units, up 6.89% from January 2025 and divided as follows:
• 10,795 pickup trucks were produced, up 5.08% from January 2025.
• Double cab pickups reached 50,834 units, an 11.53% increase from January 2025.
• 459 double cab BEVs marked 100% growth from January 2025.

Production for Export

The production of 1-ton pickups for export in January 2026 was 59,235 units, a 3.04% decline from January 2025, detailed as follows:
• 5,994 pickup trucks were produced for export, reflecting a 14.30% increase from January 2025.
• 43,909 double cab pickups were produced for export, up 2.91% from January 2025.

Production for Domestic Market
In January 2026, 38,700 units were produced for the domestic market, representing 24.29% of total production, a 20.71% increase from January 2025. Passenger cars produced for domestic sales amounted to 21,084 units, down 3.11% from January 2025. For pickups in January 2026, domestic sales reached 16,233 units, a significant 70.62% increase from January 2025, detailed as follows:
• 4,801 pickup trucks produced for domestic sales, down 4.53% from January 2025.
• 7,384 double cab pickups, a remarkable increase of 153.57% from January 2025.
• 4,048 PPVs produced for the domestic market, up 157.34% from January 2025. No buses under 10 tons and over 10 tons were produced in January 2026.

Motorcycles
In January 2026, a total of 201,007 motorcycles were produced, a decrease of 10.50% from January 2025. This included 166,394 complete built-up units (CBU), down 6.43%, and 34,613 component units (CKD), down 25.99%.
Sales
The total domestic sales of automobiles in January 2026 stood at 73,936 units, decreased by 1.58% from December 2025 and increased by 53.77% from January 2025. This increase was driven by accelerated delivery of electric vehicles under the EV 3.0 scheme, which concluded in 2025, along with the commencement of electric vehicle production to offset imports at a rate of 2:1 under the EV 3.5 program, resulting in sales of passenger cars and SUVs rising by 76.2% and 93.6% respectively compared to January 2025. However, pickup sales decreased by 5.5% from January 2025 as financial institutions remained strict in approving loans amid low economic growth and weak purchasing power. The industrial sector continued to operate below 60% of total capacity.
Nonetheless, signs of economic recovery are emerging, with growth surpassing expectations at 2.5% in the fourth quarter of 2025, driven by a total investment growth of 8.1% — private sector investments grew by 6.5% due to increased flexibility for investors, resulting in a 12.2% expansion in factory construction. Additionally, government investments surged by 13.3%, alongside a 12.8% growth in imports, particularly machinery at 21.8%. The new government needs to expedite investment applications that have reached 1.8 trillion baht in 2025, aiming for faster investments to create jobs and incomes for Thai people so that Thailand's economy can grow beyond 5% as it did in the past.
Passenger cars and inspection vehicles totaled 55,960 units, accounting for 75.69% of total sales, up 83.21% from the same month last year.
• Internal Combustion Engine passenger cars accounted for 10,485 units, representing 14.18% of total sales, down from 12.24% year-on-year.
• Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) sales reached 31,859 units, which is 43.09% of total sales, up from 353.90% year-on-year, marking the highest recorded sales of electric vehicles in Thailand.
• Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) sales totaled 899 units, constituting 1.22% of total sales, down by 6.84% year-on-year.
• Range-Extended Electric Vehicle (REEV) totaled 63 units, representing 0.09% of total sales, doubling compared to the previous year.
• Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) sales reached 12,654 units, accounting for 17.11% of total sales, a 19.23% increase from last year.
Pickup truck sales totaled 11,507 units, down 6.12% from the same month last year, while BEV pickups accounted for 79 units, up 1,875% year-on-year. There were no sales of REEVs, while PPV sales totaled 4,132 units, up 30.88% from the previous year. Trucks between 5 and 10 tons saw an increase to 1,186 units, up 20.77% from last year, with other vehicle types accounting for 1,072 units, down 5.72% from the previous year.

In January 2026, 58,405 units were exported, down 6.28% from January 2025, the lowest since May 2025, a period of 45 months, due to the discontinuation of certain passenger car models for export and stricter regulations on importing cars lacking safety driving aids and emissions standards, leading to reduced exports in Asian, African, North American, Central American and South American markets. For January 2026, automobile exports are categorized as follows:
• Pickup trucks accounted for 36,478 units, representing 62.46% of total exports, down 5.23% from 2025.
• BEV pickups totaled 59 units, making up 0.10% of total exports, with none exported in 2025.
• ICE passenger cars numbered 6,770 units, 11.59% of total exports, a decrease of 48.52% from 2025.
